Most comments here shows the reasons why our politicians steals public funds because of expectations from the public. One of my townsman was a deputy governor during SPD/NRC period after being retired as a permanent Secretary. During OBJ era he was equally appointed as a Chairman of FG Board; yet he has only one bungalow in the village no more no less. My people always abuse him, calling him a useless man for not enriching himself with public found. But guess, the old man is very happy with his life.

Bullshit

Whoever said Ghali Na'aba doesn't have a house is a liar.

Even on Sunday morning I passed in front of his house along Sharada road in Kano

The same way liars told us Muhammadu Buhari doesn't have a house apart from the ones in Kaduna and Daura.

They refused to tell us the N2 billion that "disappeared" from NNPC when he was the minister of petroleum during Obasanjo's military administration in late '70s.

Fela had a song about the infamous thievery.

Buhari had later arrested Fela after he toppled the democratically-elected government of Shehu Shagari in December1983.

They also refused to tell us about the house he bought in Mayfair neighborhood of London after the "NNPC grand heist."

Bullshit
Didn't you read that his house in Kano was burnt by hoodlums and he didn't build another one after the arson?

Court stopping the arrest of a super fraudster lolol.
What makes him a super fraudster? You guys are moved with emotions and sentiments not facts. In developed countries, investigation will be done first before arrest not the other way round as it is done here. He was arrest in June stayed in Custody for closed to Six months, yet EFCC are still finding it difficult to put up a reasonable case against him and you wake up from your room and called him super fraudster.
I'm not exonerating him but he is less devil compare to what is being put in the media against him. He was just being used as escape goat, just like what happens to Dasuki

Yes not everybody supported Tinubu in APC but not all those people benefited directly from Tinubu like Aregbesola did so I expected him to have mend fence with Tinubu by now or move on/away if his ego would not let him....Aregbesola's betrayal is nothing compared to Osinbajo yet Osinbajo found a way to save face with Tinubu so all these unnecessary forum he is forming is not the way to go about it for him
So he should leave APC because is not in support of Tunubu? It's Tunubu the owner of the Party? He has equal right in the part with Tunubu, Tunubu himself can't even tell him to leave the party because both of them have misunderstanding.
Politics / Re: Osun APC Drags Aregbesola To Court Over Division In Party by Odidigboigbo(m): 11:22am On Jan 09

I didn't say it was wrong to have a forum or group within a party but what I see that is wrong with Aregbesola is that he should have left the party with his "people" by now if he is that influential and he is not ready to follow Tinubu's leadership.

Besides the court issue is not because he formed a group within the party but rather forming the group within the party without seeking registration of the group through the leadership of the party in osun state as required by the party rules....I hope you get it now omo "half-salary"
I understand you better now. But it's his prerogative to either choose to remain in the party or leave. Not everybody in APC supported Tunubu emergence, are you going to tell all that didn't support him to leave the party since Tunubu has now become the President? For the registration of his group with the part, that is a very stupid act if actually it's true

Who takes the lion share of the profits made by the company, were he is the biggest shareholder, as the founder of the company?

Yes you have freedom of association but not by using another party's logo or platform....I use to be fascinated by Aregbesola but if he is as formidable as he makes himself seem to be he should have left APC by now that he is no longer a minister and Tinubu is president or at least form a party or join another party with his followers.

Aregbesola is a classic example of a yeye fowl wey no fit fly.... grin
You know little or nothing about party politics. All political party have different sub groups in the grassroot, even those that sue Aregbe have their own subgroup, that is not faction. During party primaries/Congress; it's these subgroup platform that the leaders use to attain and achieve their ambition; be it party executive or emerging as a party candidate in an election. When you heard of structure, that is what is all about

There you have it! So, it's very disingenuous of the government to come out publicly and act like they are serious about trying to STOP kidnappings. It's very sad but i blame the citizens because as bad as they know things are and that Nigeria would NEVER work, a lot of them still believe that one day God would wave a magic wand and Nigeria would be great. ASnd for that reason, they belive in One Nigeria and want the country to remain as it is.
One Nigeria is a big scam, that is what kept us where we are till now. Nigeria will not make any meaningful progress until we disintegrate.

I totally understood your comment and I was NOT disagreeing with you but rather in agreement with you. I was only saying that the government is NOT serious in fighting insecurity!
The shocker is that they work with some of our security agents, I can testify of that. The day my brother in-law want to report to police that they have raised the ransom money, so that they can make arrangements on how to capture the kidnappers, before he could got home, they called him and details all the conversations he had with the police to him and warned him not to try it again if he want her enemies alive.

If your government is truly serious about fighting insecurity, with the advancement in technology, it can trace the location of these Fulani terrorists. But the problem is that the same government that citizens are looking up to for help is the same people sponsoring and supporting the kidnappers. Otherwise, why is it that most of these kidnappings happen a stone throw away from military checkpoints?
Probably you didn't understand my comment. I have mentioned it, their locations can only be tracked. The use NIN, BVN nor biometric is not visible because all the transactions are done in cash and they only communicate with victims phone number. My Sister was kidnapped June last year in Port Harcourt, she spent almost three weeks before we were able to secure her release.

The money might not directly be from their pocket but raised through well wishers. Let something negative happens to you and see how a person that will not support you in a very good day to something meaningful will bring out money because the negative has happened.

With all the BVN and NIN databases as well as biometric reg with phone companies, this kind stuff still happens. What exactly is wrong with this country Nigeria?
unfortunately, these idiots don't collect transfer nor allow any money to be paid in a bank account but cash. Secondly, they communicate with the relative of their victims through the victims phone number, hence those items you mentioned can't be used to trace them except tracking of their locations.

As for Ibori, he still remains our leader, we accord him that respect. Now he knows his influence are limited. Even when he tried to pull down the platform that made him, Okowa, Sheriff and Udughan still accord him that respect without dignifying him with a word and they instruct their followers to do so as well.

Are you implying that a military man can drive 120mph on a 70mph road and won't be arrested by the police?
I never say so, I only told you the only condition they could be arrested. If he is on duty with military uniform, they won't but rather signal his station. But off duty, they will arrest, and notify his base, immediately. Just like this arrest by Sanwo Olu, the police/DSS or the governor can't keep him with them, they will notify his base. Had it been he is on uniform, they there not touch him, the governor would rather question him, get his service number and report him to his superior.

Police arrest soldiers in the US all the time and put them in handcuffs, they are the ultimate authority in law and order in the US and will arrest any soldier if need be. They might later call the military to pick the soldier up but he is getting arrested first.
That is half truth. They can only arrest a soldier who is on leave (off duty) not the one on duty, and in doing so, they immediately notify his base.
This can only happen when there is a GRAVE OFFENSE such as
Murder
Culpable Homicide
Rape
Kidnapping
Robbery
Theft
Criminal breach
Piracy
And any other offense punishable with imprisonment for a term of not less than TWO YEARS
Read military Act 1950 Section 70

Many of these words are not called twice. They are one single word. Fufu, juju, dodo, bobo are pronounced as disyllabic words.
What of bye bye

As for some of the other words like tom tom, they are not peculiar to Nigerians. Tom tom is called tom tom the world over. There is a type of drum called tom drum or tom tom drum which originated from Asia. Tom Tom is also a brand of menthol flavored candy.

Bumbum is not a Nigerian word. It is a Brazilian slang for women's buttocks (especially, big buttocks).

What the heck is tummy tummy

However, I agree with the rest like chin chin, puff puff, Jedi Jedi, etc.
