Fubara will go and bulldoze the state ministry of justice anytime soon!

Fubara will be taught a lesson he will never forget!

Verified sources even has it that, he is planning to demolish the engineering faculty of RSUST because the Dean is an adherent supporter of Nyesom Wike.
mumu talk, he don't need to demolish the faculty to get rid of dean if there is any need for that, he can summarily get him dismissed from service.

WIKE apparently goofed with his choice of successor.

Siminalayi Fubara is silent, smart and dangerous. Reason why he was able to deceive Wike enough for him to be accepted as governor.

I don't see him winning this battle though, most governors that defeat that predecessor always have federal backing.
That is not true, Chimaroke Nnamani defeated Jim Nwobodo, Chime sent Nnamani to political oblivion without FG backing. TO Orji send Orji Uzor Kalu packing no FG backing, What of Obaseki and Adams?, Shettima and Sheriff in Borno state?. The list is endless. 90% of governors that fought with their godfathers triumph over their forefathers

Yes, but Fubara doesn't have the number. The quorum is critical in making Law and passing the budget.

I doubt if the budget he's presenting would have the force of the Law.
If someone seat was declared vacant or the person suspended, is he still member of the house? Those members has been suspended and their seat declared vacant by the authentic speaker recognised by law. Which quorum are you guys talking about? The current total members of the Assembly in the eyes of law is 7 after the suspension of the 25 until the court of competent jurisdiction says otherwise

They just came from the Federal High Court last week. The court doesn't recognise the other faction. That's the problem.
The court said they should maintain status quo pending the determination of the case. What that means is that Ehi should remain as speaker, pending the time the case is determined by the court because his election as the speaker was the last event that happened before the matter was brought to Court.

Educate yourself. Fubara’s so called faction consists of only 5 members. Under the constitution Fubara needs at least 11 (1/3) members to even sit, talk less to pass any law including budgets or any resolutions.

96. (1) The quorum of a House of Assembly shall be one-third of all the members of the House.

Of k32 members, 27 are with Wike. He is a lame duck governor.
You will explain tire, go to Court.

Fubara cannot pass his budget without approval of the house. He does not control the house. He cannot spend money. If he spends money without approval of the house. he is committing an impeachable offense.

As at today there is no 2024 budget for Rivers state.
This is an imposter, Ehi if the speaker. Fubara has already sent his budget to the right faction

Try and calculate salaries for all revenue govt services then you will know what they want to spend that money on as thier salary don't come from govt purse and also for debt service
Probably the money is for debt servicing not salary for all FG agencies because other ministries equally have recurrent expenditure in their budget; that includes the salary of those that works in those ministry.

Nothing is Permanent In This World

I visited my 120-year-old grandmother and gave her some money when I was leaving and she told me she doesn't need money again.

That she can no longer buy or sell at her age, so I should give the money to the younger ones who need it.

I also have a former governor friend whom I worked with as a greenhorn PA. He was governor from 1999-2007.
Not too long ago, I saw him.

After check-in, he was left seated by the corner of the Murtala Mohammed international airport awaiting his flight.

No one even recognized him again, not even passengers from the State where he was governor, and as I walked up to him and greeted him, then asked if he wanted any assistance, he stretched forth his trembling hands to hold me and simply said,

"Thank you for even recognizing me again. I just want your attention briefly my daughter . Sit down let me ask you something.

How is your Governor doing?"

I also have a retired Major General friend whom I served as a golf caddy at the NDA golf course in Kurmi Mashi, Kaduna.
He was so rich he built a beautiful house he was so proud of.

I visited him too not long ago and wanted us to climb to our favorite spot on his balcony upstairs.

He stared at me with a broad smile and said, "IT, I can't remember the year I went up there. It is lizards and cobwebs and the likes that live there now.

Even the kids, when they come, they don't enjoy my company in the house any more than a few hours and they are gone.

I don't have the limbs to climb up there again and the cost of cleaning keeps getting higher."

I have seen a lot more things.
How yesterday became the day before, how today became yesterday, and how tomorrow became today.

How the past became history, how the present became the past, and how the future became the present.
Nothing ever remains where it is.

Your strength, your muscles, your beauty, your wealth, your guts, your worth, your courage, your talent, your YOU, will progressively diminish until it returns to its source.

The richest man in the world in the 1960s will not be on the payroll of the richest man in the world today!

Even the strongest lion in the jungle will someday become weak, and frail and be eaten by the same predators it once terrorized.

Keep that in mind always and know that no matter how appealing and tempting that thing may seem, our interest in it will diminish with time.

Our strength to consume or own it will vanish with time until everything is surely taken away from us or we are surely taken away from everything!

"Nothing is permanent in this world".

Wishing you very Reflective Times.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT!!!
You are right on this but that will not stop us from hustling. Each time I visited village and I see one of the best house in my village owned by one time richest man in my town back then when we were growing up; I feel less concerns about material things but leaving a purposeful life with a meaningful impact

Stop displaying your emptiness here.

If you pay them for express, they know they are obligated to give it to you a week after your capturing. That's why my friend hasn't been invited for biometrics yet.

By the way, if you claim to own a Nigerian passport before the coming of Christ, you ought to know this basic fact! I repeat, you are just a riffraff claiming to be what you aren't online!

Simple question, is booklet required for capturing? Because you claimed that your friend was not invite for capturing because there was no booklet.

I don't want to believe that what this man is doing is to enjoy media attention. My friend applied for a Nigerian passport in Delta State for more than a month now and she hasn't been called for capturing.

They keep telling her that they don't have passport booklets. Mr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, is Delta State no longer a state under your catchment?
Do they need Booklet for capturing? Your post doesn't not correlate. Immediately you apply, you have the date of your capturing. You don't need to call anybody to schedule for capturing.

Recapitalization is definitely one of them. If your cooperatives are not meeting the aspiration of it's members to finance it's members monetary needs, what do you think such cooperative society needs? Definitely recapitalization i.e. to shore up it's capital by holding debtors well, get new members, bring in more fund anyway to meet it's members momentary needs nah.
Every here and then, almost all big cooperations sell shares, how many Nigerians do buy shares when they know fully within a short time, their shares will reduced in real value. I can bet you, if recapitalisation is announced today, 95% of commercial banks won't realise the capital from capital market. The big boys will continue to ball while the small players will be consumed. These are prayers of the big boys to to reduced competition.

Forex floating and subsidy remover are not just the two things that would make the economy better. Things musr be done across board, and there are some things that are important more than the others, one of them is subsidy remover and naira floating. However, time will tell
Yes, your are right that there are a lot of things to be done to put the economy in a proper shape BUT recapitalisation is not one of them in this material time that our economy is in shambles. Reason being that a lot of jobs will be lost. In this country, we like doing this without putting the adverse effect of our actions into consideration and putting a measure to cushion the effect.

Nigeria economy is bad because alot of money that needs to go around from the genuinely rich and corruptly rich are being used to chase dollar speculations and stacking/storage for a gain, but with this recapitalization, banks that helped them in this "buy low, sell high/stacking" adventure will now go back to them and be begging them for Naira to help increase the capital of their bank or they go into extinction or merger. Mind you that those so called bankers are also part of the big speculators, let them bring their gains out to recapitalize their business and not to be betting on dollars gain/Naira fall venture.

The lesson from this would teach all us that extremism is evil. Infact, Cardoso should please make this recapitalization big and fast abeg.
Your analysis is not right. To your mind, if Banks were asked to recapitalised, Those hoarding dollars will bring it out to reinvest right? The same way you guys said when Subsidiary is removed and Forex is allow to float, Naira will appreciate. Six months down the line, what's the outcome?

Education / Re: Which City Has The Highest Number Of Universities In Nigeria? by Odidigboigbo(m): 1:04pm On Nov 21, 2023
IVORY2009:
The city with the highest number of universities in Nigeria is **Abeokuta** in Ogun State. Abeokuta has 8 universities, accounting for almost half (47%) of the total number of universities in the state. Here's a list of the universities in Abeokuta:

1. Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB)
2. Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU)
3. Moshood Abiola University of Science and Technology (MAUSTECH)
4. Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED)
5. Crescent University (CU)
6. Babcock University (BU)
7. Mountain Top University (MTU)
8. McPherson University (MU)

Abeokuta's concentration of universities can be attributed to several factors, including its strategic location, historical significance, and conducive environment for academic pursuits. The city is well-connected to major transportation hubs, making it accessible to students from across the country. Additionally, Abeokuta's rich cultural heritage and relatively peaceful atmosphere contribute to its appeal as a university town.

The presence of numerous universities has had a significant impact on Abeokuta's economy and social fabric. The influx of students and faculty has boosted local businesses and fostered a vibrant intellectual community. The city has also benefited from the contributions of these institutions in terms of research, innovation, and community engagement.

Overall, Abeokuta's position as the city with the highest number of universities in Nigeria reflects its commitment to education and its role as a hub for academic excellence in the country.
All you listed are not in Abeokuta but in Ogun state
