The whole of Nigeria felt that Yorubas are short-changed in the case of Abiola and gave it all to Yorubas in 1999. It will be mischievous for Yorubas to campaign against Igbo presidency after Igbos have make it possible for them without any opposition, in the interest of one Nigeria and peaceful co-existence,Igbos should be allowed to govern without any opposition.All other major region have had their turn,Igbos should be allowed to rule Nigeria just like others.

The presidency in Nigeria has been rotational, Obasanjo became president because Nigeria agreed to field Yoruba candidate for two major political parties in other to make sure that a Yoruba man must emerge as president, let Nigeria do the same for Igbos so that Nigeria will move forward as a country.

Are igbos not light skinned? My mum is light skinned, as fair as Caroline danjjuma, three of my sisters carry her complexion. My dad is dark brown me I am chocolate color, not too light. And all of us are full igbos. My mums grandma was very light skinned, I never met her, she died in the late sixties and she died in her late 90s age meaning she was born in late 1800s. My mum and 3 of her sisters got the light skinned genes from there grandma and my mum passed that same gene to her children.

You guys can be combative and boastful but know that it is not everybody that doesn't know history or their left from their right.

Somegirl1, there is the academic basis for my position. It didn't take much to figure it out, Benin had great influence over the adjoining area. It was the major power to contend with, any other Kingdom could not afford to fight it directly.

Any criminal can lay ambush on people and capture them even in this modern time, that does not show that this people have dominance over the people they captured, infact it shows weakness on their part unlike Bini direct rule over lagos and its environs.

In history,there is never in any book or documentary that shows that any part of Igboland is under conquest from Bini or Fulani.
The reason is that Igbo villages in the olden days are heavily fortified from the entrance and Igbos have no central king that give orders or rule over an entire region.So many empires like Bini is afraid to go eastward because you will fight the war village by village,even the Brittish saw red in Igboland.

The same Rotimi Amaechi you are reffering to have told you that he is an Igbo man of Ikwerre extraction, he said his father gave him the name Rotimi because the man is role model to his father.
Ikwerre in Rivers, Ika in Delta, Igbanke in Edo are all Igbo people.
Igalas are not Igbos but many are of Igbo origin, they speak Igbo and bear Igbo names, with Igbo names as the name of their villages.

Most Igala people bear Igbo names and speak Igbo, most are Igbo migrants which are now Kogi people under Igala.

No, they are indiginous to Kogi, many Igala people are Igbos.They migrated long time ago and occupy the place just like Okun people that migrated from Yoruba to Kogi.

The Odolu community in Igalamela/Odolu LGA is said to speak Igala as first language and the Nsukka Igbo dialect as second language. In Ibaji LGA, we can see some town names such as Nwajala, Umuoye, Ubulie-Umueze

They are Igala people but in actual sense they are Igbos because they bear Igbo names and speak igbo dialet but claim Igala.
