Likely Endangered Species Monkeys Killed Today In My Village - Pictures These monkeys were killed today by hunters in my village in Amaediaba,Nkpa, Bende LGA, Abia State. Looking at these monkeys it's quite clear these are endangered species but there are no endangered species when hungry hunters are on the prowl. The game is even a mother monkey and it's young one. I think it's a Marmosets Monkey.

Crazeman03:You could still be negative while having sex with her for a very long time but I will suggest u start using protection now that she is pregnant..in as much as u love her and ur faith is strong and you are not really scared about HIV you should apply some level decorum..talk to her.. it will be cost effective and quite healthy if u don't go down with the virus too..it would be more or less a Herculean task if both of u are in the HIV treatment program..And definitely you will need to open to someone in your family.. you don't need to keep something like this to yourself alone..But they must promise to respect your decisions , private life and treat the information with utmost discretion..They must be very discreet about what u tell them |
An engineer in a car manufacturing company designs a world class car. The CEO is impressed with the outcome and praised him a lot. While trying to bring out the car from the manufacturing area to the showroom, they realized that the car is 2 inches taller than the entrance. The engineer felt bad that he didn't notice this one before creating the car. The CEO was confused on how to take it outside of the manufacturing area. The painter said that they can bring out the car and there will be a few scratches on top of the car which could be touched up later on. The engineer said that they can break the entrance, take the car out, and later re-do it. The CEO was not convinced with any ideas and felt like it is a bad sign to break or scratch. A watchman was observing all the drama & slowly approached the CEO. He wanted to give an idea if they had no problem. They wondered what this guy would tell them that the experts could not give. The watchman said "the car is only a few inches taller than the entrance so, simply release the air in the tyre, the height of the car will sink and can be easily taken out"... Everyone clapped!!! Don't analyse the problems only from an expert point of view alone. There is always a layman's outlook that gives an alternate solution at a given point of time... Life issues are also the same.... Think Simple... Do Simple and Live Simple Because originally, we are Happy Souls.. Release some air ... it could be our anger .... our disappointments... our egos... our confusions .. In the end it's all about "Adjusting the Height" (Attitude), to make things easier in life. "Life is beautiful" .... "Enjoy every moment" .... "Seasons change" ..... "Situations Change"..... |
Do you remember the historic football match between Nigeria and Brazil in Atlanta 1996. General sani Abacha was the head of state. Jim nwobodo the minister of sports while Jo Bonfere was the head coach of the dream team. Nwankwo kanu fully on ground as the captain of the team. Brazil was the king of global football, and they knew it. So Nigeria losing to them that night wouldn't be a big deal. Gosh!! Brazil dealt with us that night. Till around 77th minutes (about 12 minutes to the end of the match) Brazil was obviously dominating the game. The score line was Brazil 3 Nigeria 1 Despite the Brazil squad including star names like Carlos, Rivaldo, Bebeto and Ronaldo. Nigerians watching the game still thinks Nigeria did not deserve such humiliation from the Brazilian boys. We had been beaten mercilessly. Nigerians became angry towards the end of the match; many had turned off their television sets, some were shedding tears while few hope and prayed that we would not be further disgraced with yet another goal. But the unimaginable happened in the game At about 78th minutes Victor ikpeba stroke from 20 meters to score the second goal, everything changed beyond the 3:2 score line. Pressure came upon Brazil and hope for Nigeria players. They became more motivated and began to fire shots from every angle. Then another miracle at the 90th minutes just before the final whistle, Kanu Nwankwo turned and flipped over DIDA and it was another goal, the equalizer What a wonderful match There was a golden rule then. "The golden goal" the first team to score in the extra time wins the game. Then came the desecive goal from papilo in just 3 minutes into the extra time and that was how the messy game became a message. A lot can still be done this year to make it a glorious year . Covid19 pandemic will go and everything will become normal again . The remaining part of the year is sufficient to define the whole year... Don't lose hope now it's too early. ![]() |
Adedibu's Hilarious Encounter with a Pastor and an Imam Alhaji Lamidi Adedibu was the Balogun Musulumi of Oyo State. He had a big mosque in his expansive Molete residence in Ibadan which was hardly free of activity on any given day. Adedibu's engagements in the mosques were complemented by prayer sessions observed by visitors and political associates who thronged the residence daily. Yet, there was hardly a day itinerant pastors and evangelists did not visit the residence to offer prayers for the politician and his family. Adedibu was comfortable with the two dominant religions so much that each time he succeeded in installing the governor of the state, among the offices he craved to fill were the Chairmen of the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board and the Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board. He leveraged on his network with Christian and Islamic leaders and groups for political advantage. He sponsored many on pilgrimage to Mecca and Jerusalem. It was therefore not strange when in the early hours of this fateful day, a pastor came to the residence to pray for the Balogun Musulumi. Adedibu was comfortable enough with the pastors that many of them had access to his private quarters. Adedibu knelt before the pastor as he offered the prayers. A prominent Imam in Oyo State walked in during the prayer session. Without missing a beat, Adedibu cracked open one eye and in his Ibadan dialect told the old Imam who had only been turbanned few days before; "Baba, onise ara ni Olorun. Tori yin ni ase n se adua. Pastor loji mi laaro yi, won ni awon ota fe gba emi Lemomu wa ti a sese je. Mo ni yo mo pe ti a ba ranse si yin. E dakun, ekunle ka pari adura fun yin" ( Baba, our Almighty Allah works in mysterious ways. We are holding this prayer session for you. The pastor woke me up this morning with a troubling prophetic vision he had that some evil people are working hard to kill our newly turbanned Imam and that we need urgent prayers to stop them. I felt it might be too late if I sent for you before we hold the all-important prayer. Please kneel for prayers so that we can ward off the evil plan.”) The Imam promptly knelt, and the prayer session continued. The pastor and Imam took their leave afterwards. They were hardly out of earshot when Adedibu's aides in unison queried the claims of their leader: "Baba, the pastor never said what you told the imam". Adedibu then replied; "Omode ni n seyin. Lemomu ba wa lori'kunle niwaju pastor. Awa ni o fi se waasi ni Mosalasi Jimoh. Yo'pe "Lahilah illah lau, e wa ma wo Balogun Musulumi ti nkunle niwaju pasito... Iyun ni gbogbo Janmmah o mo so kiri. A mo bayi, ofin to mu eegun, ti mu eleha!" (All of you are reasoning like children. The Imam met us kneeling down before a pastor. On Friday he will begin his sermon with, "Laillah...! can you imagine a whole Balogun Musulumi kneeling before a pastor for prayers and everyone will take that to town. But now that we have both knelt before the pastor, he dare not mention the encounter on Friday or any other day. The law that indicts the masquerade has also indicted the woman in purdah. They are both covering their faces and bodies!". Everyone burst out in hilarious laughter. Credit: Adeolu Akande |
'THE SECOND WAVE'..... History: The Past Pandemic in Nigeria. I'm fortunate to have both of my grand parents alive. I've spent the past weeks with them and I have a story to share with you. My grand parents told me about the 1918 influenza pandemic (Spanish Flu)- caused by a virulent type A virus. It is documented that about 21 million people died from the disease over a 12-month period, and perhaps 200 million at the end of the pandemic. Grandma said it was called "OKORU OGBUE". A centralized Igbo name would be "OFEE OGBUO". The name implied that the disease was very contagious and that infected individuals most often died from the disease. The disease was introduced into Nigeria by passengers and crews who arrived overseas through ships. Within months it was all over the place- every community in Nigeria. Anecdotal reports from my grandparents and others showed that every community lost between 50-80% of its inhabitants. Documented reports, though, showed that about 500,000 Nigerians, out of a population of then 18 million, died in less than 6 months, and between 50 and 80% of the population was stricken. Undoubtedly, majority of the cases especially in villages were not reported. On September 14th, 1918, a ship, S.S. Bida, arrived in Lagos, Nigeria. Some of the passengers were suffering from the influenza. They had boarded the ship in Accra, and on arrival in Lagos, passed on the disease to Lagosians. The first cases were documented on 23rd September and a few days later the disease spread inland through the railway, appearing in Abeokuta on 1st October and Ibadan on the 5th of the same year. On 14th October, the disease was brought to Onitsha from Lokoja and in a week or two the entire town and villages in the Onitsha province were thoroughly attacked. From Onitsha, the epidemic spread to Asaba and all the towns of Western Igboland, causing much panic and consternation. A report of the Roman Catholic Mission at Asaba stated that the people of Asaba, disturbed by the rumor that influenza was causing havoc, gathered each morning at the Post Office, expecting to hear from relatives who had emigrated to affected places in search of wage labor. One morning, while a large crowd assembled at the Post Office, news arrived that influenza had broken out in Asaba itself and everyone ran home to isolate, the crowd was dispersed. In a few days, Asaba was thrown into mourning as virtually every family had someone to bury. From Asaba, the influenza spread to Agbor, appearing there on 19th October. Also from Onitsha the epidemic spread eastward, appearing at Owerri on 25th October, Okigwe and Enugu-Ngwo on the 28th and Aba on the 30th. Furthermore, the epidemic, having affected the towns on the Eastern Railway, began to diffuse eastward, appearing at Ikot-Ekpene on or about 1st November, Obubra on the 4th, Afikpo on the 5th, Abakaliki on the 7th, Ogoja on the 11th, Obudu about the 11th and Ikom on the 13th. Every family had someone to bury. Grandma said: "After returning from a burial, all those who buried the dead were required to remove their clothes and burn them before coming into their homes..... But in a few days, they too will get the flu and would die..... When someone die, people cried not because the person died, but because others in the family will die after the burial and so on". Traditional medicine men and women died after treating a sick person. Non of the remedies seemed to have worked. But when our grandparents learned that isolation and quarantine was the remedy, the disease was contained. It was like a war. None of our grandparents went to the markets or farms, because no one does that during a war. They starved, they didn't visit relatives, they ate cassavas and cassava leaves, they improvised, the government DID NOT provide palliatives, they too, DID NOT EXPECT the government to provide palliatives. They passed through the pain of watching their dead rot away without a burial, only then was the virus contained in 1919- one year after! Today we have another major pandemic, very, very similar to that of 1918. We know better today, we are more enlightened, we have developed medical sciences. We know that our government SHOULD provide palliatives, but if because of corruption they REFUSE, we should borrow a leaf from our grandparents. Let's pull through. You see, the rich and famous brought the virus always, but the poor are more vulnerable and will be hit the worse, because the rich will stay at home and the poor will go out to be killed by the virus or shot by the reckless officers. But whether this pandemic will last less than a year, a year, or more than a year depends on us. This is like a war. Stay at home to save lives. Obey the Government. Most importantly, you see those who do not believe that the virus exist, and those who think there should be no lockdown, avoid them because even our uneducated grandparents were wiser than they are. Staying safely at home, listening to Fela Anikulapo-Kuti music, I started meditating on the lyrics of his songs. The words are so powerful that feel I should share some things with you. The singer died August 1997 about 23 years ago , so sad that most of the things he sang about has not changed till date. *Please Take your time to read this analysis of ten of his songs* *10 Fela Songs That Are Still Relevant In year 2020 that's 23Years After His Death* 1. Original Sufferhead (1981) This song describes the problems and sufferings that abound in Africa as a continent, despite its rich resources. He condemns the ‘big big man’ and ‘white man’ for taking up everything and leaving nothing but suffer and anguish for the average African man. This song, released over 21years ago sadly still applies greatly. The economic disparity between Africa and other continents is displayed in the fact that basic resources like food, water, electricity and the likes are still unavailable to a large number of people living in this part of the world. Such disparities are even found within countries, where we have the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer. 2. Suffering and Smiling (1977) Fela describes the life of the average Nigerian who is constantly suffering, but smiling through the pain, believing in the rewards that await them in the afterlife due to the teachings of religious leaders, who themselves live the most lavish lives, enjoying the so-called earthly pleasures. He warns people to open their eyes to this injustice and stop being blind followers of religion. Things haven’t changed much today, as people still blindly follow religion (and religious leaders), without necessarily understanding its true meaning. 3. International Thief Thief (I.T T.) (1980) Fela uses the abbreviation of International Telephone & Telegraph (IT&T) to directly attack the company’s CEO, Moshood Abiola, and other politicians like Obasanjo who continuously betray the continent and their fellow Africans in their bid to get rich off the white man’s wealth. This song is relevant in today’s world as seen in the violence that goes on in the Niger Delta as a result of the insufficient resources and recognition that the region is given despite being the major supplier of oil and the bulk of the county’s wealth. Politicians are still looting, extorting and selling out their people in their bid to get richer. 4. Authority Stealing (1980) This song, like may others, talks about how the government steals and loots the country’s resources on a daily and goes unpunished, while the petty thief gets killed and burned on a daily basis. For him, the people in authority are just civilized thieves who get away with their crimes because of their position. Our government still steals from us and feeds us lies and we let them get away with it. The petty thief gets thrown in jail while the political robbers remain scot free and given liberty to continue looting. 5. Coffin for Head of State (1981) This song also condemns politicians. Here, he speaks about the corruption that abounds in religion, especially by hypocritical leaders like Obasanjo and Yar’adua. These leaders were the most corrupt people in the world, killing and stealing from innocent people, yet they openly condemn such activities and hide behind Christianity and Islam. Today, we still see a great deal of corruption and hypocrisy in the guise of leadership and religion. Our leaders are still stealing from us, but yet are the quickest to attend church programs and quote bible verses. 6. Beasts Of No Nation (1989) This song talks about the many unusual happenings in the country and how the citizens all behave like crazy people. It touches political, economic, social matters and talks about the silence of the Nigeria people against government oppression and brutality while speaking up against apathy in foreign nations like South Africa. According to him, these could only happen in a crazy world. This song remains relevant today as the same hypocrisy and silence in the face of government injustice is still the order of the day in our beloved country and continent as a whole. 7. Yellow Fever (1971) In this song, Fela warns about the dangers of skin bleaching that was becoming a trend for women. He lists the many unappealing aspects of bleaching and tells women that they were better off leaving their skin in its natural form. Today, bleaching has become even more rampant than in the times of Fela. According to the World Health Organization, Nigeria has the highest number of women in the world who use skin-lightening products. 8. Teacher Don’t Teach Me Nonsense (1980) This song highlights the fact that the white man seems to be living our lives for us, while they make their own decisions based on their culture and tradition. The white man, instead of condemning the bad leadership that goes on here, overlooks them while doing the exact opposite in their own countries. He condemns the so-called democracy and begs Africans to open their eyes and realize that they are being misled and stolen from. Today, instead of drawing away from the chains of colonialism, we still rely on foreign countries to help us make some of our major decisions and try to imitate every aspect of their lives, forgetting our cultures and traditions in the process. 9. Colonial Mentality (1977) He speaks about the fact that Africans have colonial mentality and still live in the past despite having gained independence. They embrace everything foreign and believe theirs to be inferior, from basic things like food and clothes down to their names and religious practices. This song is still very relevant today, as Africans in general would rather purchase foreign made products and would use foreign names instead of their traditional ones. *Even Presidents go for treatment in foreign countries instead of developing their own health care system* . 10. Confusion Break Bone (1990) This song talks about the confusion that abides in the country and the lack or proper organisation. His tone here sounds sadder and more resigned to the fact that things might never get better for the country. He highlights all the problems he had mentioned in his earlier songs and says that nothing has changed and wonders at the insanity of things. Nothing has changed today. The country is still in a permanent state of disorderliness and disunity. *The government still gets away with being corrupt and unjust, and the innocent man still gets punished for crimes committed.* Furthermore, 23 years isn't that a very longtime how much more some of songs were released as far back as 1971, 1977 etc. We are heading to a very tough time in this nation, I wish we can use this season COVID19 pandemic lockdown to think about what *we can do for our nation first* When we take up this challenge it will spread to those in authority. Any leader you don't like please and please vote your conscience stop this attitude that the old Politicians are more experienced than the young ones this has been counterproductive. *Is there anyone regretting voting for some people * For example if you as an accountant is elevated to the position of the chief accountant/CEO of your company will you reject it. If you won't then vote right at the appropriate time. Let's task our representatives no time to pamper them. Fela has done his own part and gone to great beyond. Fela's ITT album says *"water plenty for Africa but e no dey, dem dey tell us nau , na 1990 dem go give us water"* Year 2020 (30years after) where are we? What legacy are you leaving for your generation think about this, thanks. Finally, if you can take your time to search for evergreen songs by Fela, Ebenezer Obey, Sunny Ade, osita osadebe etc so much to learn from them in this period of lockdown. *Let them provoke you to good works Nigeria can still be great again with the cooperation of you and I* *This is my energy booster for COVID19 lockdown*. . *Please stay safe and secured* |

There is a salient fact we all are missing..The number of COVID19 cases in Nigeria is erroneously wrong. Its more than 90.Nigeria doesn't have testing kits so they can't confidently give a correct figure of the number of people who have tested positive to COVID19 . Alot of Nigerians are walking up and down with this virus . The next few weeks will tell us alot. It's gonna be scary. I feel this virus may have evolve and it's incubation period may have increased to more than 14 days.I hope am wrong. Don't call me a prophet of Doom... |

TRUMP: AN EXAMPLE OF A MAN BEING INCHARGE Here him: 'IMMIGRANTS, NOT AMERICANS, MUST ADAPT... Take It Or Leave It. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Americans. 'This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom. 'We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language! 'Most Americans believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.' 'We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why. All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us. 'This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great AMERICAN freedom, 'THE RIGHT TO LEAVE'. 'If you aren't happy here then LEAVE’. We didn't force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country that accepted you.

Intervene Now, Clouds of War Gathering Over Nigeria – Bashir Tofa to Nigerian ‘Bigmen’ The last time Nigeria heard him was 1993 when he sought to be president. Now, he is being heard again with a dire warning of what he sees o the horizon, what another compatriot, Gen T Y Danjuma has called the ‘war without fronts’. It is thus not whether he is making sense or not but a case of a senior citizen putting his thoughts together on an issue which he is absolutely qualified to speak on as a citizen. Read on: Alhaji Bashir Tofa The clouds of war are gathering with blood sucking gods that follow the perching of vultures. Vultures from Europe, vultures from England, vultures from Asia, yes, vultures from America that deal on arms. With eyes constantly fixed on any trouble spot in the world. They’re are hopefully praying to extend their business from Tripoli to Abuja. This is because, Nigeria is fast ascending to the very path that Freetown took. The path that ruined Congo and Libya. The expressway to Rwanda, that is the path Nigeria is fast speeding into. Yet, this path is not a new path to us. It’s a familar terrain that we have taken before. In 1966, long before even the Rwandan path was paved. We wasted over 3 million people as hundreds of innocent souls were slaughtered before even the war started. Long before the Rwandan path was paved, religious differences and ethnic intolerance as being repeated today, led to a civil war that took our best, took our leaders, took innocent souls and took us backward. The backwardness is still hunting and hurting us till day. And, it’s the wounds of the war that was not treated in a round table talk, talk, that is leading to another war. Yet, the leader of the nation insists that he’s comfortable exactly the way things are. So, it’s either history is unfair to us or our leaders are blind to it. Indeed, the death meant to kill a dog does not allow her to smell faeces. And, like the saying goes, those who do not understand history are bound to repeat it. Even if we hadn’t experienced a civil war before, what happened in Free Town, Monrovia, Abidjan in recent history ought to have taught us a lesson. The way Tripoli was turned from a fast developing city into a slave town where war lords reign should serve as a lesson. But no, we learnt nothing. Just 50 years after, when those that played major role to the last civil war are still alive, here the snowball of war goes rolling down from the snow mountain of stupid arrogance, gathering with it all the ethnic intolerance and religious divide that paved the path of Rwandan. Special responsibility to be a force for peace Where are you Gen. Gowon? Your silence is strongly becoming cowardice. Where art thou Alhaji Abudsalem Abubakar? Your silence is strongly becoming a tactical approval to the atrocities going on in the nation. Where are you Chief Emeka Anyaoku for there is an error in your silence. Speak out Gen. IBB or else history will record it that you said nothing when your voice was needed most. Ochiagha Ndi Igbo Comr.Ebitu Ukiwe your children are being slaughtered in their farms and you said nothing. You all said nothing as the youngman who watched his pregnant mother gang raped and her stomach ripped open bites his tongue and moan in revenge. You bigmen in power and in office, you felt secured and less concerned because you thought the evil is far of. When this Rwanda that is fast speeding to Nigeria will arrive, the distinguished Senator will be extinguished. The Honourable House members will be dishonored. Some of you in executive offices will be executed. All by war lords who will takeover and parade the streets of Osun, Ondo, Edo, Sokoto, Abuja, Calabar, Enugu etc (All states in Nigeria). The war lords that took over the streets of Rwanda did the same. So. Let each and everyone one of you wake up while it’s day, let us collectively pursue the black sheep. Or else, when Rwanda will arrive, lizards will replace cows as major source of protein in |

Nollywood actress and side singer, Tonto Dikeh, has surely attained fame. Mired in controversy and steeped in scandal, she doesn’t seem to give a hoot! Not long ago, she was linked to former Super Eagles star, Daniel ‘The Bull’ Amokachi. However, ‘King Tonto’ as she prefers to be called, debunked the talk of love with the ex-international star. Nevertheless, recent developments suggest that something “strong” is happening between King Tonto and The Bull, writesFerdinand Ekechukwu Nollywood diva Tonto Dikeh is no stranger to news making. In fact, hardly is there a season without the beautiful actress in the news, trending for whatever reason. Such has left her with the toga “controversy”. Unfazed by that, the single mother of one has gained more popularity for her lifestyle and social media engagements than her showbiz career. Recently, pictures and video of the Nollywood actress with ex- football star, Daniel Amokachi, made the rounds on a Thursday evening on the social media. It is unclear if Amokachi is still married to the Tunisian woman who had twin sons for him, named Kalim and Nazim. The boys are following his footsteps in becoming footballers. On the part of Tonto, since she separated from her estranged husband, Olakunle Churchill, the Nollywood diva has been going on with her life, even though, hardly a week passes without her discussing issues around the man.
