Phones / Re: Linking NIN To SIM: Matters Arising by odonkoro: 5:04pm On Jan 06, 2021
I have been waiting for an opportunity like this to lay my compliant. The date of birth computed in my data and send to CBN form the bank I registered for BVN contains an error. Instead of 1956, 1936 was erroneously computed by the bank clerk assigned to do the job. This error was discovered when I went to register for my NIN at Immigration passport office, Alagbon, Ikoyi - Lagos.
My problem now is that I am asked to pay the sum of fifteen thousand, five hundred naira (15,500) or more by NIMC officials before the error could be corrected for the error not committed by me. I have other recognizable identity cards like Voters card and the old National ID and other documents that bears my correct date of birth. More so, I have open all my bank accounts before the commencement of the BVN registration, and there are no varies in the details contained therein.
Are the NIMC officials deliberately using the errors to exhort money from people?
I want this forum to investigate and provide clearance so as to safe me and others facing the same predicament, please.

Culture / Re: Addressing The Menace Called African Time by odonkoro: 5:27pm On Dec 07, 2020
The only two institutions that work perfectly in Nigeria presently are God and the devil. The positive one is for God, while the negative one is for the devil. Even if one steal and become successful, it's the lord's doing; and charlatans masquerading as men of God will praise and pray for the person ceaselessly. If caught in the process of committing felony, it's devil's handiwork. Nobody is being praised for doing good, and nobody is being blamed for doing bad.
The same thing applied to timing in Nigeria social life and other functions. Going early to an appointment is in fact a punishment; because you will meet nobody there. When eventually people started trickling in into the even center, they will give all sorts of excuses as to why they come late; ultimately African time.
If our leaders do not address the issue of timing in our society it will be very difficult for us to progress; though many see it as insignificant. Anything that has to do with human existence is timing. If nobody addresses the issue if timing, then no need of complaining of backwardness in our society.
Religion / Re: Pastor Adeboye: How My Poor Uncle & I Fed In 1956 by odonkoro: 3:36pm On Nov 17, 2020
When I was growing up, what we use to hear then was that - it would be easier for a camel to go through the hole of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God, which is heaven; according to religious adherents of those days. Now prosperity is the new vogue. Religion is a scam.

A man will brag in the absence of no imminent danger that he is not afraid nor fear anybody except God; as a man of God as most
charlatans use to call themselves, why is he running away from a mere mortal?

Lagos State is the headquarter of corruption in Nigeria; the state House of Assembly members are just mare rubber stamp waiting to be used by the Executive, any day any time. Somebody should remind me, if perhaps I am not conversant with what goes on in the state assembly: What friendly masses favored law have they passed since their inception? They are bunch of individuals with area boys orientation.

Crime / Re: The Lagos Jungle, Agbole Where Sex Strives by odonkoro: 8:36pm On Feb 27, 2020
Economic wellbeing is the epicenter of every humans whether believing in one form of religion or not. No amount of preaching will prevent a religious person from doing evil if the economic wellbeing is not addressed. Moreover, the circumstances of our birth differ from each other; some people are designed to be an instrument in the hands of the devil, while some people are forced into what we call social vices due to circumstances. It is the responsibility government to look critically on what led to some issues called social vices and proffer solutions; if not we will just me playing to the wilderness.

Crime / Re: Laetitia Naankang Dagan: Police Arrest Two People by odonkoro: 8:23pm On Feb 19, 2020
Since smoking of high weed ( marijuana) including other hard drugs has replaced cigar smoking, and people, particularly youths are consuming them as if there are no laws regulating there consumption, hence the gruesome killing and kidnapping we are witnessing. Government at all level should take note of this and address it; if not the trend will continue. This is my candid advise.

Religion is a scam. After using religion to destroyed most African traditions/cultures with hate preaching; sometimes outright destruction of our valued heritages', now the dominate religions are now using the same hate preaching trying to outdo one and other in a more devastating form. Example, Boko haram in the North East.
