forgiveness is ever lacking in our churches but the true judge is on HIS way. Its so unfortunate that as ministers we are falling like flies because we are not rooted and grounded as we appear to be lets be very careful , humble ourselves before our GOD because WHATEVER IS DONE IN DARKNESS SURELY WILL COME TO LIGHT THE DEVIL IS A LIAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.If BISHOP LONG IS GUILTY HE WILL FACE THE SUPREME KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS WHO CANT BE BOUGHT,
He settled out of Court and in these parts, that's what you do when you know you can't prove your innocence or don't want the RECORDS in the public domain, confidentiality is a huge part of why folks settle out of court. No one is judging him or anyone else on this forum but analysing why a pastor who claimed innocence at the bigining went to settlement and also why CD doesn't want those who left new-birth in his church,

Dude is on a new fundraising drive as you can see from the video below:

@ Joe,

Less I forget, don't mind that Ogajim Guy too oh!!! Because he's in the US he thinks he's the only immigrant there. Most times they all forget where they're from because of the serenity, development level & beauty in the western world. If they were that smart they should have remained in their mother country to cause a change instead of running away abroad & judging their homeland from there.

You might be shocked most of these guys like OGAJIM was probably a Lizard when in Naija. Now He thinks himself to be an aligator. Sorry Bruv, you only metamophosed into an AMERICAN LIZARD with earings, smoking pot and stuff. BUT YOU ARE STILL A lizard ( Bishop Idahosa).

if I were you I'll try to cause a change in my mother land from were ever I am by at least changing the general notion (BAD) MOST FORIEGNERS have about Nigeria. Instead of feeling like a foriegner in another man's land. CASCUILLE!!! tongue
Your bunch never fail to disappoint! You have lost the argument on all grounds/fronts and instead of digging deeper into your doctrinal bag, you retort to personal attacks which amounts to nothing but a sophomoric rigmarole or a WEAK attempt to shift the discourse. I will not comment on "Bishop Idahosa" but as Ray Ekpu once wrote about Judge Idahosa, "arrogance is the prerogative of the conceited" so I will leave you to that.

Just because your village members in America(if any) wear ear rings and smoke pot doesn't mean everyone operates that LOW as some of us have enough common sense not to dive into everything that come our way. FYI, folks that couldn't "make it" in Nigeria can't replicate that anywhere US, UK, Europe, etc. so your "lizard" analogy is null and void/case dismissed.

You must see Nigeria the same way you see CEC meaning if one likes his Country/Church, they must not criticize or point out the wrongs, even when they engage in "kalo kalo"(apologies to Zikkyy cheesy) brand of worship/government. I don't blame you at all, na small pikin dey worry you.

Pastor JoAgbaje (I know his NL stand didn't come from Ugbowo campus) doesn't seem to be on the same level with you because he doesn't sink to your level even when some push him on this forum. If "Micuilles" wants to be a pastor when he grows up, maturity development ought to start now.

I admire DCLM but not a member, I might consider it (hence they have a branch near me now) once they renounce their compulsory tithe doctrine and focus on HOLINESS exclusively.

Pastor JoAgbaje, How many times do you need to be told that tithing as preached today is a SCAM/419? Do you even believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior or has "pastor Chris" taken that spot? I thought Jesus Christ fulfilled everything for Christians or don't you think so?

You are not "spreading the Gospel" to anyone other than Nigerians in various places so let's cut that crap of a claim while we're at it.

Why don't you want to "spread the Gospel" to Maidiguri right there in Nigeria, don't you think Boko Haram need salvation too?

Both the Nigerian deceivers and their deceived deserve each other because they're all trying to get rich quick or die trying, God never promised all his Children monetary wealth as claimed by the deceivers.

@ JOE

I discovered that the topic Re: God And Many Of Us Are Fedup With All This Prosperity Garbage Gospel was inspired by Mr. Frosbel's frustration. HE IS A DEEPER LIFER!!! CONFIRMED!!! and the whole world knows what they teach. wink wink wink

@ FROSBEL

I understand how you feel but don't add God to it. You are the one who's tired of Prosperity Gospel. I advice you to embrace this gospel & be free from you poverty mentality once & for all. I wonder when you even started embracing technology e.g. using the internet, is it not worldly? You that forbid TV, good clothes, jewelries and the rest. THAT GOD THAT OPENED YOUR EYES TO ACCEPT TECHNOLOGY will see you through. Just humble yourself & believe his word. DIG DEEPER into God's word before living in a DEEPER LIFE candle light revelation. huh huh huh
You that accuse Frosbel of being a DCLM, what are you a prosperity P*I*M*P? You guys never fail to amaze, you are in a nation of poverty and still have the marbles to point a finger at someone who obviously enjoys a more comfortable lifestyle than all your stolen money can give in Nigeria, haba!

Vanity upon vanity, what value does TV, Jewelry, "good clothes", etc add to your life? What is "good clothes" to you? When you "grow up" in the faith, you will come to the realization that what you're faulting DCLM for now actually represents the Body of Christ more than your "bling bling" money grubbing so called "MOGs".

Pastor JoAgbaje:

You twisted the Scriptures the moment you claimed that " Giving to family relation and a christian is not the same result".

I don't know that you've ever been to a farm to be so obsessed with "sowing" and "seed", which to the "untrained" ears and eyes equals MONEY/EGO/KUDI/OWO/GELD, etc.

Must everything be about money?

Let me ask you this Jo, say a guy that normally makes $20/hour spends 6 hours every week helping the "Church" out with one thing or the other including stuff that cost money but contribute $30 during offering time, would you say his contribution during that week was $30 or how would you classify it? Christianity is WAY more than money my friend. The number of Churches in Nigeria has yet to turn that country into a millionaires' haven, how come?
Christianity EtcRe: God And Many Of Us Are Fedup With All This Prosperity Garbage Gospel by ogajim(m): 1:29pm On Jul 07, 2011
Pastor JoAgbaje don come again with another theory ooooo.

Joagbaje:
how can you conclude in one vidit to a church? How do you determine a poor person? I have seen a man on TShirt and jeans giving millions. You won't know from looking at him.

The scriptures speaks for themselves .

Galatians 6:6-7
Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.
7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap
.

Philippians 4:10-11
But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. 11 Not that I speak in respect of want. . . 17.Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.

Everything has it's place. The point is, that it is not unscriptural to sow to ministers as it is portrayed here.

It's not arithmetic. We give by the wisdom of God. That's another ball game. A woman who desires the fruit of the womb. May be led of God to sponsor another persons child in school and by that deed, she gets pregnant. Another woman may be prayed for by a pastor and she gets pregnant. So it's not mathematics.

Ephesians 6:2-3
2 Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promisewink 3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

How come paul didn't say . "Pray for long life that you may live long" and this honour for parents is primarily talking about giving. Sowing seed to their life.

Remember what paul said . He said he was happy that they gave to him and that his reason for the happiness was not because of a need but rather because of the blessing they should recieve.

Philippians 4:10-11
But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. 11 Not that I speak in respect of want. . . 17.Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.

grin grin Nna, i never said he was my guy angry I think he is more likely to be your guy grin

Okay , deal. That side settled.

One of the hardest thing most ministers face is telling brethren to come and give to them. Even though it is scriptural ,most ministers in observe don't quote that scripture so as not to be misunderstood . But they teach on giving to God, giving to church project ,giving for the gospel, giving to the poor. Giving to your parents etc. It is not wrong for a minister to teach about giving. Giving is our life as christian. But I find it hard to hear a preacher say "come and give me money or sow into my life" I'm not saying it may not happen but I havent seen . Mostly a visiting pastor can be bold enough to teach such things by telling brethren to sow into the life of their pastor .

I agree

But the ground you sow also differs. A man of God carries and anointing , which can prosper a man. By the pronouncement of his mouth.

2 Corinthians 6:10
(we). . . as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

There is preference, giving to an a believer and an unbeliever is not the same result . Giving to family relation and a christian is not the same result. Also giving to a brother and giving to a minister is not the same result. And pls don't ask me the different results. Because it is not maths.
I don't know if Jo has eve come across this passage :

1 Timothy 5:8

King James Version (KJV)

8But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

You need to stop twisting the Scriptures for the filthy lucre my man, "what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole World and lose his own soul"?

@ ALL;

What an interesting thread. Please be informed that Believing is a choice. Also, when you see the word WICKED, SINNER in the bible, it does not connote the deeds of a man. It refers to the unbelieving nature.

Secondly, you all seem too intelligent to rain insults unnecessarily on Jo because he is teaching you his understanding of the word of God. If you have a better understanding, its better you use it to counter Jo's instead of insults. If you believe in God, you'd care to know how he'll respond to most of your rash use of words against Jo.

@ Jo;

You are such a loving, caring & patient man always trying to reach out to these NL members most of which do not deserve it even if Jesus died for us all, some are sons of perdition, a path their spirits chose. Please ignore them as best possible. Pass any message you wish any time you want to & be informed that there are others on this forum who are always blessed by your teachings.

I for one am a giver with a passion & I lack nothing. I beleive in the word of God & it produces results in my life.
Don't be surprised folks if this "micuillis" dude is another of those multiple ID scamming lot!

@nuclearboy, Eddie Long and his Church might have purchased some "insurance" to cover those kinds of 8-figure settlements but I don't know they could have covered all of the settlement.

Pastor JoAgbaje is not going to own up to his money grubbing ways despite being a successful artist as claimed,

@JoAgbaje, there is no sermon a Pastor is going to preach today that hasn't been preached before except it's HERESY, no wonder those Nigerian Churches are now "exporting Gospel" to the West, your mates are exporting Cars, Planes, Technology, all kinds of finished good (including tooth pick), etc to Nigeria and you're "exporting gospel" to Nigerians in diaspora in exchange for their hard earned cash, omase ooo!

Freely it is  given unto you and freely must you give, buy the truth and sell it not,Gospel is costly

(a) sacrifice of living holy life e.i -preacher
(b)the dedication of preacher
(c)Financial cost ,TV fees ,Radio, News paper adverts,Printing of Tracts etc.
(d) Crusade Expenses is another thing, money is the bicycles of Gospel

What many of our people don't understand  is that when God gives you Commission He will also gives Provision, Purpose of gospel is salvation of Humans souls
The truth of the matter is -Gospel must cost something ,Salvation is free i.e either you accept it or reject it , but if you reject it prepare for the consequence.

Pastor JoAgbaje will soon abandon this thread which is what he usually do when faced with start realities of not being able to fool his NL audience. Everything with these guys is about cost and money, Christians who can't do anything for free it seems!

All the time Jo spends on NL in his futile attempt to sway is CEC's way could be spent learning the intricacies on computing and how it can help advance his "ministry" so he wouldn't have to rely on "equipment staff"

Joagbaje:
Mark 3:9
9 And he spake to his disciples, that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him.

Does that sound like they own the ship? He would have said , "get the boat" or "our boat" but "get a boat" is from other sources  remember also that they left all before following Jesus.

What are you saying? What about the free to air stations . Satellites stations. To even talk of this Nta thing alone. Do you know how much it cost?

Are the equipment staff and maintenance free of charge?
Folks should be able to donate their time and skills for the advancement of the Gospel if they believe the bearer of the news don't you think?
Christianity EtcRe: Is the gospel free or costly? . How Do You See It? by ogajim(m): 7:31pm On Jun 30, 2011
Joagbaje:
If the journey is worth it why not? If after a journey like that you have thousands give their hearts to the lord , who is complaining ? God? No. And what do you say about the expenses of jesus how he hired or chatters private ships  for his journeys ? Was it a waste. Jesus never took public boat like paul .maybe I'm wrong you can correct me.

Do you know the extent of the reach of the tv? Is it for a show? Do you know how many got saved through them? And how many testified of healings while a preacher prayed on tv. If we must make global impact , we must embrace technology and it cost good money.
Pastor JoAgbaje, where in the Bible is it written that Jesus Christ chattered a boat? You are the Pastor so please show us instances, all his Disciples were fishermen, could they be using those boats by any chance?

Second point: your Nigerian TV broadcast at best reaches all parts of Africa and not beyond, depending on your carrier in the US, some of us get NTA and AIT or one of those, nothing more and nothing less. Stop this grand deception of reaching millions via the tube, I can understand some folks want to be TV personalities plus pastoring but that's a different story entirely.

Internet streaming will reach more and probably is the CHEAPEST option since air times are not required. Technology make things cheaper for most people and industries maybe not for the pay per view church businesses.
Christianity EtcRe: Is the gospel free or costly? . How Do You See It? by ogajim(m): 1:46pm On Jun 30, 2011
99% of Nigerian Pentecostal Churches (and their MOGs) are fake, I'll love someone to prove my assessment wrong.

Like Zikky stated earlier, why not win "souls" in your own backyard before flying to SA, UK, Europe, USA, etc to win over Christians who had access to Christianity before they brought it to Africa?

Why are there no branches in Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Russia, etc?

Let's not kid each other here, we ought to know what this is really about.
Christianity EtcRe: Is the gospel free or costly? . How Do You See It? by ogajim(m): 8:33pm On Jun 29, 2011
Zikky, you need to give them your money because they need to "spread" the Gospel to places that had it before we even did in Africa, healing schools and "outreach programs" don't come cheap either.

Plus you need to be able to provide them with the same lifestyle as big bank CEOs, Governors, etc.

Do you understand the implication of this? It means that the preachers should be supported . Look at verse 4 again.

. . . 4 Whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave that town

Staying there means, welfare support, clothes ,feeding ,shoes . [/color]
Vanity upon vanity!

Pastor JoAgbaje: You mean to tell me you need to buy a new pair of shoes in the course of a weekend retreat? Didn't you read the part of a passage that told the Disciples to carry nothing extra? haba!

Giving to support the Gospel should be from one's own freewill and not because "God told me to go on this trip and you need to finance it" kind of rhetorics  we sometimes hear from the pulpits these days. You should preach to the ones you can reach by foot, then car/by driving before you attempt to reach those you can get to by flying(even if there's hard currency involved)

If a prosperous man will go to hell. How can he claim to prosper ? See the hypocrisy
Pastor JoAgbaje, Say it ain't so! Are you by any chance calling the Word of our Lord Jesus Christ "nonsense"?

Matthew 19:

16 Now behold, one came and said to Him, “Good[e] Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?”
17 So He said to him, “Why do you call Me good?[f] No one is good but One, that is, God.[g] But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”
18 He said to Him, “Which ones?”
Jesus said, “ ‘You shall not murder,’ ‘You shall not commit adultery,’ ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not bear false witness,’ 19 ‘Honor your father and your mother,’[h] and, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”[i]
20 The young man said to Him, “All these things I have kept from my youth.[j] What do I still lack?”
21 Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”
22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.

You and your CEC aren't like the mormons that use a different Bible are you? If your Bible teaches you that it is the Will of God for all his Children to be rich/wealthy (which is what most of you call "prosperity"wink then you need to get a REAL one because mine doesn't define prosperity in Dollars and cents. It is a total package, I go to sleep when I want and have a good sleep for instance and their are rich folks who will pay for such, likewise being able to move about, healthy, etc. I feel sorry for your congregation if you truly believe the hype of get rich quick or die trying (thug life if you ask me)

No wonder Nigerian "Churches" are 'exporting' Christianity to Europe and America when there plenty of souls to be won there at home (boko haram?) but those ones don't come with Euros and Dollars attached I guess.

Serve God only and leave the belly of the beast!

Pastor JoAgbaje, no be Uniben teach you these "principles"ooooo

Joagbaje:
why are you so "small things" minded? God believes in increase and multiplication. He wants the church to grow. Thats reason for soul winning .

Acts 2:47
. . . And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

And if you say they can worship in SMALL buildings . Who foot the bills for the hiring of the SMALL buildings . Who hires the chairs since you are against giving in church.

Living above sin is part of Dominion life in christ (Christ in my case). Same goes for Not loving the world. Did I say anything contrary?
JoAgbaje, You keep looking at every comment in the Nigerian context, there's no need to "hire chairs" for small gatherings now haba! If one can host 50 people to a weekend BBQ, how much more in the things of God? Rotational means the hosting rotates among everyone or the ones with enough space to accommodate the group of house fellowship members,

You could have you worship meetings in a house or in a revolving manner hosted by everyone, you could meet in a "Church" if you like that model, you could just worship the Lord with family members, etc. ", Where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there, "

Building a HUGE structure and then tasking your members with UNSOUND doctrine is a SIN, (no small or big sin, JoAgbaje might disagree here), FULL DISCLOSURE is what our God demands from believers/his followers.

In this era of laziness of all kinds- physical, intellectual, spiritual, you name it, it is refreshing to see folks picking up their Bibles and actually studying the context of all the quotes they hear from the pulpit and other media avenues.

If the Bereans could "fact check" Apostle Paul, why can't Christians do the same with their "MOGs" today? We also have legions here threatening the faithful with curses of all kinds for daring to "judge MOGs".

Peter was the 2-I-C to our Lord Jesus Christ and yet Paul called him out for hypocrisy, if that was now, what would the legions have done or said?
