I have to say that "speaking in tongues" we hear from some Christians these days is nothing but repetitive gibberish which is LEARNED. The speaking in tongues exemplified in Acts is nothing way DIFFERENT (everyone understood what was being said in their OWN native TONGUE(language)....even a 2 year old can "speak" this "shaka rama shaka rama" stuff. |
DUDE! LOL |
I see the TITHE debate is ALIVE as ever with the same proponents/Agents of DECEIT. People have a right to blow their money as they please but I don't find anywhere in the Bible where one is to pay God for blessings. Love/Charity for one another is what Christ taught and these gospel PIMPS won't be smiling to the bank if people would just open their Bibles and study it. |
Don't mind those yeye Pastors in Nigeria, UK and America...they are all FAKE for the most part because the only part of the Bible that appeal to them is the TITHE. They have MUMU followers who have no idea how to open the Bible and STUDY it like the Bereans of old. It would have been easier for Jesus Christ to ask his "accountant" for the two Shekels he needed for the Temple tax rather than send Peter to catch a fish, open it's mouth and take the two Shekels from there right? YEYE dey smell! |
You guys will wait a while because I don't know that they've finished county the "Easter" windfall..... The mondern day Pastors use fear and "promotion" to both intimidate and "reward" the "faithful" among them who refused to act like the Berean Christians and question unholy Gospel being spewed out from their pulpits. I have no desire to be made a "minister" or any of that nonsense so I would do what the Bible commanded and let their man made commands go to waste until such a time one of them is BOLD enough to approach me with the "why are you not paying tithe" thing then I will UNLOAD on their behinds before I seek a new palce of worship. True service to God is really not as hard as the money monger make it out ot be, let the buyer beware! |
Sorry was there a REAL Pastor on that list? I see business people who happen to from time to time TRY to preach....being a ZOMBIE is not a Christian value. |
Joagbaje:"oagbaje"/Joagbaje, can you please quote Scriptoral verses to she where our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ "sold some stuff"? Thank you in advance. |
Joagbaje:No Pastor JoAgbaje, God has DELIVERED us from FALSE PASTORS! We pray God delivers you from your chosen path of money gospel, we are "faithless" now because we don't buy the shenanigans of the "name it and claim it" prosperity JUNK? |
We have to keep Parstor JoAgbaje in our prayers! Dude has the chutzpa to come here and defend a BAED practice within modern/Pentecostal Christianity of "money for hand back na ground". I have seen the number Bleep special offering scam first hand and didn't fall for it, there are many tricks the true body of Christ need to be aware of and AVOID, you can't buy your way into Salvation. I am reminded of Max Romeo's song, here are the lyrics: Stealing, stealing, stealing Stealing, stealing Stealing in the name of the Lord My father's house of worship Has become a den of thieves Stealing in the name of the Lord They fed our mothers with sour grapes And set our teeth on edge Stealing in the name of the Lord Strike the hammer of justice And set my people free Strike the hammer of justice Or let my people be They tell us of a heaven Where milk and honey flow Stealing in the name of the Lord They said, this place called heaven The rich man cannot go Stealing in the name of the Lord Yet the reverend drives a fancy car Buys everything tax free The people have to sacrifice To give in charity My father's house of worship Has become a den of thieves Stealing in the name of the Lord Stealing, stealing, stealing Stealing, stealing Stealing in the name of the Lord Stealing, stealing, stealing Stealing, stealing Stealing in the name of the Lord |
frosbel:Columbus actually didn't set foot on American soil, dude was looking to go to India. Amerigo Vespucci and Ferdinand Magelan came later. |
Where is JaSoul? Sorry Ely Manning took your team out again, NFC has dominated these contests lately. Defense ruled the entire game. |
FAKE if they preach MANDATORY 10% tithe, can't be found in a real Bible, |
inedi:You guys are obviously on some kind of hallucination cause by drugs, lack of sleep or both. I doubt members of the Oyakhilomen family will select Chris as the one that's made the most impact let alone the whole of his Village Ewu. Remain in this state or open your Bible are gain some knowledge, your choice. |
The CEC NL "ministry" bunch are hilarious as usual providing great comic relief for the week, these are the gift that keep on giving. No wonder Pastor JoAgbaje once declared on NL that "Pastor Chris" has done more to bring folks to the fold than Apostle Paul, As Fela sang, "yeye rolling, " |
goshen360:Don't mind these CEC lot, they have been brow-beaten into their current state, they don't seem to have any use for our Bible but rather their own ROR. They follow "Pastor Chri" more than they follow Jesus Christ it seems. |
I worship at an RCCG parish currently, "worker" too if you want to know but I don't pay tithe no matter who preaches it because it is UN-BIBLICAL doctrine that's man-made. I don't have to be in the "club" or anything like that so I do what comes naturally to me in terms of helping folks with anything I can, anyone looking for VALIDATION or AFFIRMATION from their "Pastor" or is into titles like "Deacon" might want to follow their doctrine so they can benefit from that. I only have to PLEASE God not man. They will soon start quoting Malachi, lol, Bearean Christianity is what we need not follow follow one. Shalom! |
SaintTee:Why is it my JOB to pray for those guys many of whom aren't CLEAN in the first place? There is something FISHY here for sure ![]() |
Let's forget man-made islamic religion (if one can call it that) for once and deal with a topic most "word of faith" Christians don't understand fully. |
At least Tunde Bakare is siding with the masses though one can't say he is poor and unable to afford their prices for new products, but what need is it to jack up the prices and embezzle the proceeds? MLK didn't wait for the other black Pastors to act before he did in the 60s did he? |
How can they criticize the government when they are one and the same thing? The import privileges they enjoy plus maybe free parking for their planes is enough for them not to care plus they are all rich and can't be part of the 99%. |
^^^ Beretta92, Don't mind these CEC follow follow sheep jare! Anyone who has a 2 year old ought to know they're SPONGES at that age and will repeat everything they hear verbatim for the most part. Their so called "speaking in tongues" is nothing but rehashed gibberish, how come it is the same gibberish every time? Are you saying you hear the same message every time you open your mouth? These folks actually set true Christianity back hundreds of years in their quest for your money! |
Pastor AIO:You want to kill folks with laughter man, it is hilarious when they switch to that mode. |
The Rev. MLK paid the ultimate price to see his people gain equality, he could have been "settled" nicely if he wanted to be he chose to side with the people and today he's got a national holiday and a monument that most former presidents don't have and will never have. Closer to Nigeria, the Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Rev. Allan Boesak could have benefited from the system and instead sided with the people to raise the consciousness of every one home and abroad to the evils of Aparthied. I doubt any of these folks collected tithes and offerings before doing the right thing, Nigeria na wa! |
OmoPastor:Trust me when I say I wouldn't trade mine for YOURS, that being said, it is hard to get the point you're trying to make so try speaking English sometimes! Your response(if it can be called that) reminds me of the proverbial Ostrich with its head in the sand thinking "if I can't see the hunter, he sure can't see me" DUH! If you're a "defender", it'll be useless trying to defend against an unknown offense now wouldn't it? Omo pastor indeed! |
OmoPastor:If you're going to call someone a "clown" (Christians value?) without adequate rebuttal, who then is acting like a clown? For anyone to truly understand occultic influence in Christianity, one has to educate one's self on those things so he can IDENTIFY them either in Church building, TV or anywhere else. Without this knowledge, it is EASY to be dismissive of everything someone else points out because you're intellectually lazy or unable to reseach those facts. I often ask folks what the need is for a steeple in a Church, all they can tell you is that is the way they design Churches, Let the buyer beware! |
Joagbaje:Congratulations as the poster of the Year, we hope in the new year you drift towards the REAL TRUTH and leave the gospel of bling bling behind for ever. |
Methinks "mikeoh" is on to something here and ought not to be dismissed without cause or reason. Pastor JoAgbaje, you're right in that the devil copied lots of stuff but Jesus Christ telling us to be " wise as serpents and gentle as doves" mean we should be very careful before accepting whatever is handed to us. I saw "decorations" with the 5 point star in my Church once and warned the Pastor about such. We can't say because somethings look "beautiful" or appealing to the eyes that they must be of God. You'll be surprised that "quarrels" by "leaders" is staged for the masses because there's no difference behind the scenes, Christians have to beware! |
Samyng, Posting like someone on CRACK! A Zombie Christian is not a Christian, A Berean Christian is a TRUE Christian, study your Bible more and "MOGs" less. Shalom. |
This helpee dude really don't get it do you ![]() For starters, I don't live in the westcoast and so can't tell you much about schools in Oregon neither do I live near Tulsa OK enough to talk about Oral Roberts university. I can tell you as someone who lives on the eastcoast that Catholic University of America is open to all and affordable, even a kid from SE can attend CUA even without grants. A man of God is not for me to say who is or who is not but Jesus Christ did tell us that "by their fruits ye shall know them". I used to follow Oral Roberts those days when he would come to Nigeria with Idahosa wearing Nigerian clothes and holding crusades only to get here and find that he didn't even allow the few black people in his university to mix with the whites, what an irony I thought? I don't know how the Anglican and Catholic schools were in your neck of the woods but I know I had great experiences with Anglican and Catholic education which was affordable even for my poor parents. Did I mention we didn't even attend any of the Churches before going to their schools? I wonder how many Oyedepo's and Adeboye's Church members can afford their schools. It's a BUSINESS isn't it? |
LOL@ dare2think, what do you expect from a PR guy with a pidgin spellcheck? @Helpee. who is "Benny Copeland" ![]() You're mixing your two star powers of the prosperity movement up? and I just love the way you threw TDJ in there for good measure, I am sorry to burst your bubble dude because I don't consider any of those guys real Pastors which would lead to why I don't consider your main man one either, see a pattern here ![]() I don't sit in the pew on Sundays to listen to Obama preach, we elected him POTUS which is not a religious position last time I checked. If he can't fix the economy, the country will elect another person come November so leave his policies out of this equation because they don't affect you one bit, if Nigeria don't like their policies, GEJ can stop taking their money and actually govern for once. I don't know what Baba Kongi has to do with this but I can attest to his Litery prowess having used some of his books in my time, Havard is a private school that's not operated by a Church and so can charge what they want and those who can afford it can still go there. Anywhere you go in Nigeria, you will see what the Catholics or Anglicans have done for communities, go to Oshogbo and you will see some work by the Baptists, your new generation 10% collecting bunch have recorded zero value added. If you think operating a university where only the children of the RICH can go is a Christian value in your book, we can see where your head is then. |
@Helpee Dude I think you're getting your issues mixed up here, I have not come across any thread on NL that labeled Oyedepo a fraud because he slapped the "innocent youg woman" as you put it, When I look at both videos, I see megalomania at it's peak and don't see a follower of Jesus. "Do you know who you're talking to?", "she went to their meeting and they told her that slap can kill you", He was labeled a fraud because of his prosperity teachings, the cost of his private schools, the jets, etc. Except you forgot where Jesus warned the rich man on how to make it to Heaven, you can continue in your delusion and pursue wealth with all you've got and whoever you can follow to get there, to each his own. I don't think you've been to America or lived here long enough to know what goes, people do discipline their children, it is over doing it that get folks in trouble with the law. America is a traditional country and not all Pastors are in agreement with gay unions or the act, majority preach against the act without hating the people involved, get your facts straight PR dude! |
There's an old school song that fits this picture " Dude looks like a LADY" |
