While Russia has waged its ugly war on Ukraine, the world has been inspired by the beautiful bravery of many of the country's stunning female soldiers who have answered the call to arms.

Under Ukraine's martial law many men have been conscripted into the armed forces but many women have also joined up to fight off Putin's forces and some have shared their exploits on TikTok.

Prior to the war kicking off, social media was ablaze with admiration for Ukraine's gun-toting stunners and since Russian boots hit the ground it appears they've done everything to help.

One notable account belongs to a soldier named Katiusha who regularly posts updates to her 27,000 followers.

Before the war, her account was a mixture of her parading in military dress and miming along to Eastern European songs from her barracks but she's now kicked it up a gear.

In a recent video, Katiusha filmed herself and her friends undertaking intense military training.

Posting a series of clips from the barracks, Katiusha showed off her new skills which included marksmanship and fire extinguishing.

In one dramatic clip, she even films herself disarming a gunman.

Another account is named Vika 22 and has over 54,000 followers.

Like her compatriot, Vika has been intent on showing the fun side of the war with her account full of clips of her smiling on patrols.

In one clip, she and her fellow soldiers are filmed dancing around in circles after a long day preparing for war.

However the content Ukraine's brave girls have put out isn't for everyone as they issue several warnings before posting.

In one video a soldier writes: "Follow for more, unless you're a Moscovite."

If that's not a clear sign the Russians aren't welcome we don't know what is.

The willingness of Ukraine's women to join up to the army and fight with the men is evident throughout and when you see how much training the soldiers had it's no real surprise.

In a series of pictures taken last year as the country prepared for Russian aggression, a young soldier named Anna Shorina showed the painstaking selection process she and her friends went through.

This included training with weapons, riding on tanks and crawling through obstacle courses and intense marksmanship.

A French villa and favourite spot of Russian President Vladimir Putin's daughter has had Ukrainian flags painted all over it.

Katerina Tikhonova's luxury Villa is located in Biarritz, in the sunny south of France, and boasts eight bedrooms and three bathrooms.

The property is actually currently owned by Kirill Shamalov, Tikhonova's ex-husband.

The image of the villa's front gate having been vandalised was posted on Reddit to the r/ukraine thread where internet users have been sharing updates about the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The image shows 10 blue and yellow Ukrainian flags painted across a locked entrance, with the luxury Villa's tall spire visible in the background.

Tikhonova, 35, who is Putin's second daughter, is thought to be a billionaire, so she could quite easily cover the cleaning up bill.

Still, that didn't stop Reddit users ridiculing her and sharing praise for the vandal's work.

One person commented "Villa Special Operation", in mocking reference to Putin describing his murderous invasion of Ukraine as a "special military operation".

"She shouldn’t get to live luxuriously while her father murders people," a second person said.

"They are pretty colours. It's an upgrade," joked a third.

A fourth said: "Neatly composed tidy flags and tight grouping showing good discipline. Pleasing overall composition and arrangement. A 10/10 from me."

This isn't the first time that the property has been targeted by people unhappy with Putin's recent actions.

Earlier this month a notorious French activist actually broke in before changing all of the locks and inviting Ukrainian refugees to come.

Pierre Afner posted a photo of himself in the apartment on social media, calling it “Villa Ukraine ”, but he was later arrested by French police.

Speaking to The Guardian, exiled Russian dissident Vladimir Osechkin, who is thought to be friends with Afner through their work in calling out Russian human rights abuses, said: “This isn’t fair.

"This isn’t justice.

“My friends were not doing any damage to this property, they were preparing it so that refugees from the war in Ukraine, including children, could stay there.

“That’s all they were doing.

“They had asked me to buy some sheets and linen for people to stay there.”

An owner of a war zone mobile hospital in eastern Ukraine has revealed that he instructed his doctors to "castrate captured Russian soldiers" because they are "cockroaches, not people".

Gennadiy Druzenko, 49, was forced to apologise after his interview with the Ukraine-24 channel about Russian military prisoners of war and claimed that he had always been a "great humanist" but changed his beliefs when it came to the Russians.

He said: "'I have always been a great humanist and said that if a man is wounded, he is no longer an enemy but a patient.

'But now [I gave] very strict orders to castrate all [captured Russian] men, because they are cockroaches, not people."

Druzenko set up the first First Voluntary Mobile Hospital which sends out civilian doctors and nurses in the conflict zone close to the separatist republics in eastern Ukraine.

He also told famous Russian TV host Yevgeny Kiselyov: "Believe, all doctors who saved the patients - Russians will die here. Die in large numbers.

"Those who [come here] will remember their nightmare on Ukrainian soil.

"Like the Germans remember Stalingrad."

The Russian Investigative Committee opened a criminal case into the comments made by Druzenko, which meant that he could face trial under Russian law.

But the medic has since apologised on social media for his comments and claimed that the hospital "does not castrate anyone and is not going to".

He added that his words came from "emotions".

In a statement on the hospital's website, they said Druzenko "made an emotional statement about the sterilisation of the invaders' and claimed it was 'prompted by threats against Gennady and his family personally".

In other news, Ukrainian troops have deployed a new anti-tank weapon that they received from Germany which can reportedly destroy any Russian tank.

The Panzerfaust 3-IT anti-tank weapon was first used between 1978 and 1985 after having been ordered by West Germany in order to pierce through Soviet armour.

In a picture posted on Reddit, a Ukrainian soldier is seen holding the massive weapon, seemingly ready to use it against any Russian invaders it comes across.

In what seems to be a cruel twist of irony, the original Panzerfaust was used in World War Two by the Germans against the Soviets and now its successor is being used against the Russians by the Ukrainians.

An angry wife has completely hacked off her husband’s penis after she used a spy cam to see his “unusual” behaviour with his own niece.

The wife, from Son La, Vietnam, set up the camera by the girl’s bed after her step-daughter complained several times about her uncle’s actions.

Police told reports that the man, named as Mr. Nguyen Van H. had repeatedly engaged in what they called bad behaviour towards his wife’s stepchildren.

They said the woman, named only as Mrs. N, purchased a webcam and secretly placed it at her step-daughter’s bedside.

It is alleged that at noon on March 18, Ms. N checked the camera and apparently discovered Mr. Van H.’s behaviour towards the girl was “unusual”.

Mrs. N. told cops she purchased a knife, waited until he was sleeping on March 19 and exacted her terrible revenge.

She then went to the police and told them what she had done, it is alleged.

Now local police authorities are studying footage of the horrific incident, with the cut being so close to his torso that medics could not save the penis, reports Blogtuan.info.

Mr. Van H. had been taken to the emergency room at Son La Provincial General Hospital but because the damage was so prodigious they were forced to give up the ghost.

Dr. Dinh Khac Truong said: The surgery was very difficult for the doctor because the wound was completely cut and the skin was gone, making it difficult to shape. Besides, the penis is cut with a knife requires doctors to treat the wound, wash the severed part properly to avoid infection.”

Soon-to-be-ousted Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is reportedly 'hiding' his two luxury superyachts in Turkish waters to prevent them from getting seized through prospective government sanctions.

The Russian billionaire has had his life turned upside down in the wake of Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine, with oligarchs around the world facing intense scrutiny over their ties to the Kremlin.

After being forced to relinquish control of Chelsea, and having his UK-based properties seized, Abramovich is now scrambling to protect his remaining assets and has moved his £400 million superyacht Eclipse from the Caribbean to the jurisdictionally safe Mediterranean waters of Turkey.

The 160-metre boat, which was the world's longest private yacht when it first launched, features two helicopter pads, two swimming pools, several hot tubs and even a mini submarine. For security reasons, Eclipse has also been fitted with a missile detection system, missile launchers and a high-tech self-defence system.

Further reports have confirmed that Abramovich's second yacht, Solaris, also arrived in Turkey today, having previously been docked in Spain and Montenegro.

Stretching a measly 138-metres, Solaris pales in comparison to Eclipse, but still boasts eight decks, a helipad, a swimming pool and a spacious sun lounge and is thought to one of the most technologically advanced yachts ever created, with a radar-controlled missile detection system, bulletproof windows and a fully-armoured aluminium hull.

Abramovich, who appears to have a penchant for luxury boats, has owned seven yachts in his time and has been sailing Eclipse since 2010, and Solaris as of just last year.

Taking into account his private Boeing 767-33A/ER jet - which has the same air missile avoidance system as US Presidential plane Air Force One - and the £16 million worth of supercars he owns - including a Pagani Zonda R, a Porsche 911 GT1 Evo and a Bugatti Veyron - it's fair to say the 55-year-old has built up one heck of a fleet of super vehicles.

And he clearly has plenty more to lose if the fallout from the Russia-Ukraine conflict worsens.

Fighters from Chechen Republic have been airlifted out of Ukraine after devastating losses, intelligence sources claim.

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) said the troops, also known as Kadyrovites, had returned to Chechnya's capital Grozny.

The SBU said that the soldiers had been pulled out after enduring a high death toll in the first three weeks of the war, reports The Mirror.

Reports of Chechen troops participating in Russia's invasion of Ukraine began in the first days of the Russian invasion on February 24.

Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov promised earlier this month to "finish" anyone refusing to surrender and boasted about his troops forcing Ukrainian soldiers to flee.

On February 26, a video began circulating of Chechen servicemen hoisting a Russian flag on a military unit building in Gostomel, a village 50 kilometres northwest of the Ukrainian capital.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine authenticated the video, but denied the claims within it that they had fought off three Ukrainian advances - saying that the area invaded was empty at the time.

A day later, three days after the invasion began, commander of the 141st Motorized Regiment of the Chechen Rosguard, General Magomed Tushayev, died.

During efforts to land at Gostomel airport from February 26 and 28, "several hundred" Chechen fighters lost their lives, SBU intelligence officers say.

A large column of what appeared to be Kadyrovites fighters and military machines was then filmed in Bucha, north of Kyiv.

Subsequent video emerged of airstrikes being launched at it and the wreckage of many of the army vehicles.

Kadyrov, who is President of Chechnya, initially denied casualties among his fighters, but on February 28 he acknowledged the deaths of two Chechen servicemen, while not giving their names.

"Unfortunately, there are casualties among the natives of the Chechen Republic. Two died and six others were injured," he wrote on Telegram.

Claims from both sides regarding lives lost and the current location of troops are difficult to verify, given the contested area in which the Chechens were operating.

According to SBU counterintelligence, on March 13, the Kadyrovites were evacuated from the territory of the Kyiv region via Belarus and further by air to Chechnya.

At the same time, Kadyrov announced that he was sending a thousand more of his fighters to Ukraine.

Footage that has emerged in the last few days suggests that there are at least some Chechen fighters are still involved in the invasion.

A Russian oligarch has claimed he doesn't know how to live on £2,500 a month after being hit by sanctions against the Russia-Ukraine war.

Mikhail Fridman, who had a net worth of £7.5billion, was sanctioned by the European Union on February 28 and by the UK on March 15.

The billionaire's wealth dropped by £3billion dollars and he was required to live on £30,000 a year, which may seem like a comfortable living to the average person - but he claims it was impossible to live on.

He told Bloomberg: "I don't know how to live. I don't know. I really don't know."

The billionaire also branded the sanctions "groundless and unfair" and declared that he would contest them, Reuters reported.

Fridman, a cofounder of the London investment firm LetterOne and former board member of the Russian banking company Alfa-Bank, claims that his UK bank card was frozen because of the sanctions.

He has to apply for a licence to spend money before the British government decides how reasonable the request is.

As a result of the sanctions, he resigned from the board of Alfa-Bank one day after the EU sanctioned him.

But, while he doesn't agree with the sanctions being placed on him, he acknowledges that his problems are nothing compared to those at war in Ukraine.

He said: "My problems are really nothing compared with their problems."

The news comes after Fridman warned that sanctions would do nothing to stop the war in Ukraine.

Speaking to Bloomberg, Fridman said: "If the people who are in charge in the EU believe that because of sanctions, I could approach Mr Putin and tell him to stop the war, and it will work, then I'm afraid we're all in big trouble.

"That means those who are making this decision understand nothing about how Russia works. And that's dangerous for the future."

Fridman has also said that western powers do not understand that influencing the powerful figures around Putin will not work.

A woman who thought she had a simple urinary tract infection, got more than she bargained for during a hospital visit when doctors discovered a glass tumbler inside her bladder.

A 45-year-old Tunisian had been complaining about always needing the toilet, but a scan quickly revealed that it was not, in fact a simple infection – she had an 8cm-wide bladder stone inside her.

But it was the contents of the stone that baffled doctors at the Habib Bourguiba University Hospital in the eastern city of Sfax.

For encased in a bladder stone was a small drinking glass, which had apparently been put up there a few years ago for “sexual pleasure”.

Her urine had shown a red blood cell range of 23-25, when the normal human will only show four or less, a report states.

The object was removed via open surgery, and she was discharged two days later – she is now thought to be fully recovered after the incident at the end of 2021.

In a report about the case, on sciencedirect.com, the doctors who deal with the matter said: “Apart from any underlying psychological condition, the humiliating nature of the pathology itself often means that the diagnosis is established late at the stage of complications: recurrent urinary tract infection, bladder lithiasis, vesicovaginal fistula which is the consequence of erosion of the vesicovaginal wall weakened by inflammation.

"The extraction of the foreign body is usually done endoscopically with, if possible, extraction of the associated lithiasis.

“In case of voluminous lithiasis or in the presence of associated lesions, open surgery is indicated.

“Various objects have been inserted into the bladder and many patients fail to remove them themselves and are very embarrassed to seek medical advice, which is the origin of a clinical picture which is most often atypical which occurs in a patient particular terrain.”

Memphis Depay has accidentally posted a video that has shown his Barcelona team-mate Gerard Pique unclothed inside their team's dressing room.

The duo both played a part as Barca defeated Osasuna on Sunday to move up to third in the La Liga table. Pique started the game at centre-back before being forced off injured after 62 minutes, while Depay came on as a substitute in place of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

"The burglars were in our home for less than five minutes but in that time they took from us something more valuable than anything we had in our home... our sense of safety and security.

"This occurred during the final minutes of last night's match when they knew that we would not be home. My wife and I rushed home not knowing if our children were safe and unharmed. United are understood to be working with players to review and strengthen their home security. The latest incident comes after defender Victor Lindelof's home was targeted earlier this season.

Defender Lindelof's wife Maja and young family were in his property when the break-in occurred at their property in January, but were not harmed. Lindelof was playing for United in their 3-1 win at Brentford when the raid happened.

A twisted Russian politician has called on Vladimir Putin to launch "a ballistic missile" at the Nevada test range in America to "send a message".

The comment comes from Russian Duma member Yevgeny Alexeyevich Fyodorov, who claims that western nations are acting "on the assumption that Putin has no trump cards in his hand".

One potential "trump card," Fyodorov says, could be a nuclear strike on a Nevada test site, which he believes would not see retaliation from the US.

With sanctions still in place on Russia from western countries like the US and UK, President Vladimir Putin had warned that the sanctions were "akin to an act of war".

Fyodorov, in an interview translated by MEMRI TV, said: "Until there is a physical demonstration of (Moscow's) determination, America will perceive the positions of Russia and (Putin) as a bluff.

"So they need a demonstration. The most convincing demonstration would be the physical destruction of America's Defence Department facilities. I'm talking about facilities, which international law grants us the right to destroy."

The Russian parliament member also alleged that the missile strikes could hit the laboratories that "develop COVID-19".

He continued: "For instance, these could be the very same laboratories that develop COVID-19 or we could demonstratively strike the test range in Nevada with a ballistic missile."

Fyodorov, the coordinator of the National Liberation Movement, added: "Naturally, there will be no way back after firing such a missile.

"However, in this war we shouldn't threaten with strikes or offensives on Ukraine, but with damage to US territory.

"If we create for US territory - say, a risk of 10,000 casualties, from a strike of even a weak missile, then the US will perceive this as a threat of 10 million casualties. This is the American psychology, how they think about their country."

Fyodorov, who was interviewed in January of this year, added that because of the perceived psychology, "there will be no retaliation strike".

He also warned that the missile "could be a nuclear explosion" as the Nevada testing site is, according to Fyodorov, actively testing nuclear missiles.

Creepy men have been slammed on Twitter after claiming they would open their homes to 'attractive' refugees who are fleeing the war in Ukraine.

After the UK government U-turned on an earlier decision about accepting refugees from Ukraine and launched a website where people can sign up to offer a room to house them, opportunists began sharing images of several beautiful Ukrainian models claiming they would house them because they're attractive.

One of the most viral posts being shared as a meme says: "UK Gov offering £350 a month to house Ukrainians fleeing war.

"I'm doing my bit and taking in Misha & Masha on Monday! Not all heroes wear capes."

While many are finding the joke funny, others have slammed the opportunistic men who will try to take advantage of women fleeing their homes during this time.

One user tweeted: "Female Ukrainian refugees may feel a lot less anxious about coming to Britain if British men would stop posting Facebook images of young women with the caption ‘I’m doing my bit and taking two of them in hahaha.’

Another added: "Traffickers, exploiters, rapists, opportunists are all at the Polish/Ukraine border. There should have been a major effort made to make refugee women & girls aware of these things from Day 1."

A third said: "So random men are driving in minibuses all the way from the UK to Ukraine, to pick up refugee women & children they’ve never met and who don’t speak English, to drive them back all the way through the EU and to the UK via Channel ports.

"And no-one sees any problem with that?"

The response comes after Housing and Communities Secretary Michael Gove announced the Ukraine refugee housing scheme.

He said: "The courage shown by the Ukrainian people in the face of the devastation caused by the invasion of their great country is nothing short of remarkable.

"The United Kingdom has a long and proud history of helping others in their hour of need and our new Homes for Ukraine scheme offers a lifeline to those who have been forced to flee.

"I'm asking people across our country who can provide a home for Ukrainians to consider being sponsors."

Russian soldiers are living in fear of being killed if they are sent back home after being captured by Ukrainian soldiers.

At a press conference in Kyiv, one of the soldiers spoke of being killed by firing squads when they are returned to Russia following a prisoner exchange.

A soldier from the 2nd Motor Rifle Division spoke about Ukrainian soldiers allowing him to phone home and his parents told him that his funeral arrangements had already been made, reports The Telegraph.

The soldier said: “'In Russia, we are already considered dead.

“I was given the opportunity to call my parents and they told me that a funeral for me had already been arranged."

“If we are exchanged, then we will be shot by our own people.”

On Tuesday, another captured Russian soldier spoke of how he was shot at by his fellow troops as some soldiers tried to protect Ukrainian civilians.

He said his lieutenant was killed while trying to save a woman and her mother after Russian soldiers were allegedly given orders to fire on civilians in Kharkiv on February 24.

The Ukrainian government opened a telephone hotline for Russian parents to find out if their sons are among the dead or captured, as well as allowing soldiers to phone home.

Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered his troops to invade his neighbour Ukraine last month and has continued his assault on various parts of the country.

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused Russia of carrying out genocide after officials said Russian aircraft bombed a children's hospital on Wednesday.

The incident reportedly saw patients buried in the rubble despite a ceasefire deal for people to flee the besieged city of Mariupol.

The attack, which authorities said injured women in labour and left children in the wreckage, is the latest incident of the invasion, the biggest assault on a European state since 1945.

Mr Zelenskyy said: "What kind of country is this, the Russian Federation, which is afraid of hospitals, is afraid of maternity hospitals, and destroys them?”

Ukraine's foreign ministry posted video footage of what it said was the hospital showing holes where windows should have been in a three-storey building.

The UN Human Rights body said it was verifying the number of casualties at Mariupol.

Spokesperson Liz Throssell said: "The incident adds to our deep concerns about indiscriminate use of weapons in populated areas and civilians trapped in active hostilities in numerous areas.”

"This result has a huge impact on us, to give this pleasure to our fans means a lot. It changes everything.

"We are aware how privileged we are. This is a huge club, we are in the focus, but we are very privileged.

"Hundreds of people in this club are not so privileged, maybe face a more existential threat and are more worried about their future than us.

"This gives us a responsibility to fight for them, keep their heads up high and not give in. This is what we can do and this is what they demand from us."

Speaking before Sunday's game, former goalkeeper Cech also expressed concerns for staff at the club whose livelihoods are at risk with the future looking uncertain.

He said: "We have a lot of questions but not many answers.

"We hope the people working for the club will be able to get their salaries and live their lives, and hopefully work. But this is a difficult question for me to answer as I don't know what the licence will be like in days.

"That's why conversations are going on. We would like to know how we operate and what we can do with the team going forward. Without these answers, it's difficult to plan. We go day by day and we need to do it this way at the moment."

Chelsea's credit card facilities have been temporarily suspended while banks assess the implications of sanctions imposed on Abramovich, but the club has been given a special licence to operate despite the Russian billionaire's assets being frozen.

'Everybody is against us right now'
With uncertainty surrounding all aspects of the club, boss Emma Hayes says she isn't worried that the women's team will be overlooked.

She said: "I know our place within that club, I know our importance. I don't want any of us to be punished or vilified. At the end of the day Chelsea football club is important to the football community.

"I'm not worried about us, we're a valuable asset to the football club and I know that internally and I don't expect that to change.

"We have to stick together. Everybody is against us right now. And that is giving us strength; everybody contributed to that win today."

'There will come a time when people need to embrace change'
Former Chelsea winger Pat Nevin told BBC Radio 5 Live: "The concern is for the future of Chelsea and that is miles down the list to what is happening to the people of Ukraine.

"I have a feeling Chelsea will survive well but not in the shape it has been for 19 years. Maybe a year down the line Chelsea will be a little bit happier, maybe not winning as many trophies, but maybe a little bit happier.

"I said the league cup final might be the last time I ever see Chelsea in a major final.

"Instead of fearing change, there will come a time when people need to embrace it. The hope for Chelsea fans is to get it done as quickly as possible.

Coach Augustine Eguavoen wants to persuade former Chelsea winger Victor Moses to return to international football with Nigeria at the 2022 World Cup.

The 31-year-old, who plays for Russian club Spartak Moscow, quit international duty in 2018 to focus on his club career.

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president Amaju Pinnick and former coach Gernot Rohr both made unsuccessful attempts for the player to reverse his decision.

But Eguavoen, who succeeded Rohr in December, said: "We want the best for the country.

"Victor Moses is somebody I adore and I'm looking at ways of trying to get him in and we've spoken.

"He's not part of these games [World Cup play-off against Ghana] but hopefully as time goes on because we want the best for the team.

"Whether we like it or not, Victor Moses will still bring some value. But right now he is playing in Russia, we all know the problems with Ukraine and Russia. I am happy to say that my conversation with him is settled."

Moses joined Spartak from Chelsea in July 2021, but he could leave the club in the coming weeks.

Fifa has announced that foreign footballers playing in Russia can suspend their contracts and temporarily leave the country.

The world governing body made the announcement as a result of the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Stiff competition for Super Eagles
Nigeria have previously succeeded in bringing back Odion Ighalo from international retirement to add experience and goals to the attack of the three-time African champions.

However, Moses will face stiff competition from the likes of Samuel Chukwueze, Chidera Ejuke and exciting new addition Ademola Lookman of Leicester City for a spot in the current Super Eagles set up.

Eguavoen has named a strong 25-man squad for their two-legged play-off against Ghana, which is scheduled to be played on 25 and 29 March and will decide who heads to Qatar later this year.

Moses previously represented England up to Under-21 level, before switching allegiance to Nigeria and making his debut against Rwanda in 2012.

He has scored 12 goals in 37 appearances for the West Africans, and helped Nigeria win the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

The former Crystal Palace, Wigan, Liverpool, West Ham, Inter Milan and Fenerbahce winger has represented the Super Eagles at two World Cups, in 2014 and 2018.

When Norwich's Brandon Williams was hauled to the ground against Brentford on Saturday, his first instinct was to confront the opponent who had fouled him.

Williams reacted angrily but his hostility quickly disappeared when he realised his adversary was Christian Eriksen, the Denmark midfielder starting a match for the first time since suffering cardiac arrest during Euro 2020.

Instead, in a touching moment that came in the heat of an important fixture in the fight for Premier League survival, Williams opted to hug the former Tottenham player as they both lay on the ground.

"It was brilliant!" former Manchester City defender Micah Richards told BBC Radio 5 Live. "Williams' reaction was fantastic - it's Eriksen, I can't be mad at Eriksen!"

Eriksen's luck was short lived though as referee Anthony Taylor, who was in charge of the game against Finland in June when the Dane collapsed, showed him a yellow card.
