Echem na okwesiri ibu odenigbo. Olilo udaume ga ewepu ofu 'i'.

myklangelo:
LolzZ that's the fun of languages. A Yoruba told me that b4....but in Igbo, Odee means writer, na= in, so it means a writer in the Igbo language.

My tutorial for the week is out...Igbo ga-adiririri!

The 1st Igbo language blog is out, it is fun and insightful. Visit, comment, share and criticize.www.odeniigbo..com

bashydemy:

Am happy for the guy, he has done well for himself. He is a an intelligent guy smiley

His sec sch-5yrs
Uni, BSc - 2 yrs
2nd BSc - 2 yrs
1st Msc - 1 yr
2nd MSc - 1 yr
PhD - 2 yrs
That is 13 years in all for him.

For an Average Nig student, the 13 yrs will given him a secondary school cert (6yrs), BSc (4/5yrs) and the 2nd BSc degree (3yrs). The least period of time the Nig student can achieve what Olaoluwa bagged is 17years. My calcualtions sha. This doesnt change the fact that Olaoluwa is very brilliant. Na Naija condition wey dey make person spend too much time for school, coupled wt strike and all. I think i will train my kids abroad undecided

"such" actionshuh What an excuse. sorry shocked

poyet:
I hope it's not bad treatment from the deceased to them that contributed to killing of him. Though it's not an excuse to kill someone, ill treatment from bosses sometimes prompt such actions!

I was searching for a Canadian university to study an undergraduate course and I got to a page where schools were listed according to provinces. I'd like an informed person here to enlighten me on the provinces with "greener pasture" (where one can get a relatively good job while schooling). Here are the provinces that were listed out for me.

Alberta
British Columbia
Manitoba
New Brunswick
Newfoundland and Labrador
Nova Scotia
Ontario
Prince Edward Island
Quebec
Saskatchewan

Abeg I no wan carry person go where 9ja better pass o. make una clarify me small. grin

I thought we have serious-minded people here angry Hope am safe oo

Team12:
Hi guys, pls lets not spoil this PM thing for those that really need help and assistance fa. People should learn to be professional! When I reply a PM and all the person has to say is "Hello, my name is bla bla bla, how are you doing? I will like to know you better..." it makes me wanna puke! So when next I wanna reply a new PM I become extra careful. This is not a platform for pen pals. You ve got facebook and the likes of badoo for all that. Please let's respect and not misuse the tools available for us on this platform...#awordisenough!

Ur brain must be hot!

ejossou:
Thanks. I think my SOP is compelling. I included internship in relevant areas and talked about the research have done and also my reasons for choosing usask and the fact that I want to return to teach in the university. I also included a paper I published recently. My ptdf scholarship award for undergraduate, my scholarship award letter for masters, and employment letter for a job I just started in June. I am married but no kids. My wife is not resident in naija though. I just want gud education. I don't really care about settling down in their country.

Na wa!! So just for the sake of trekking to the office and back he should remain in that unhealthy envt, and leave out testing new waters. Should ppl be too scared to take that LEAP OF FAITH??

Lips-sealed angry

Princewell2012:
Guy stay where you are. a devil you know is better than the angel you don't know. However i work in island and i know what am saying, considering the transport and the stress you are going to face. Finally notting is good as trekking to your office and also back home. Everything has advantages and its disadvantages. goodluck.

Your head is there. He will surely see someone that will drop him off somewhere on the mainland. That was how i started too, infact my colleague was dropping my off at my house jxn! i jus walk into the street and enter my house. I was like God is wonderful oooo. No stress, at times i dey sleep for car sef grin
i really cant work where am not happy, but if the salary is MEGA, i fit manage am for sometime till something better comes undecided

Gemc3:
Go for the new challenge. When u get to your new office, who knows? You may see a staff that lives close to your area that can be dropping you off once in a while. Being unhappy at your place of work is a terrible thing. Trust me. I know. Take a leap of faith. I am sure you won't regret it.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Advice:50k Job No Transport Or 70k Job On Island To Spend 15k Transport? by OGreene: 10:09am On Jun 26, 2015
What!! I work on the Island ooo, and i live in Ikeja. We are not saying the traffic stress is good, but if the job is what you have been praying for, a job with better prospects, he should go for it. At least he needs a CHANGE. See the way the company is treating him, threatening him with lay-off. One needs to work in a healthy envt, even sef whats his future going to be like in this company. He has worked there for a while which is good enough, will he remain there foreverhuh When its just a fair-enough job, not even Exxon or those big names, abegiiiiii.

Poster, if it were same company grade wt same job fxn, den you can choose the one closer to your house. But these 2 are diff. I work very far from home, most of my colleagues saved money and moved to a closer place, because the work is good, and pay is awesome. Who doesnt like better thing! Please move to a place where the system is working, where ppl re working towards a visions, where there is hope for 2moro......no time for lagging behind. You have tried for those ppl, please PORT and go to where you will be valued and appreciated, where you will use ur potentials to the fullest.

Lastly, pray well for God's direction. He sees 2moro and know what's best for us.

We wey dey do am since nko, its part of Lag life, just be leaving ur house early. YOU NEED TO LEAVE YOUR COMFORT ZONE. Go for it and meet new ppl, u hv a better opportunity to grow and NETWORK!! The way des multinationals treat their staff eh, kool kool, plus they close early......make i just stop here.

How una dey get this scholarship na shocked Please tell me

chrisviral:
Graviton2, I think you are good to go.
More so, in the application Form, where your asked for school fees, housing fees and other expenses, then you are further asked how much is available for study...

It's always a good point to add up everything and add extra amount untop of it.

E.g
My school fees was 33,000 CAD
Hostel is 14, 000 CAD, I left others blank and fund available, I wrote 280,000CAD ((hanks to the scholarship) no VO can refuse that based on insufficient fund.

Note: you can only submit your application after you get your e-medical receipt, since it's upfront.
Goodluck.

Hmm, am impressed. How much was ur MBA sch fees?

mevisbleek:
Solo8 I disagree with you on "does not worth the price". I did an MBA and must say all my class mates got hired from internship. I mean they got really good gig. I'm a living testimony Bro.
A few got gigs as marketing managers at Rogers, a couple got the RBC rotational program, a couple got Scotiabank international development program, a few got into imperial oil as territory manager, remainder got gigs in siemens and stuff. So, it's worth it and I will do it again and again and again and as well advise everyone to smiley
