This question of "do you have friends or family in the UK", I answered NO because (1) none of my immediate family lives in the UK. (2) I don't know if any of my relatives live there...my mum said she is not aware but that it seems our family doctor's son is still in the UK, he is a friend to my bro, I rili don't pally with them (3) one of my fmr Uni friends is doing her Masters. I tot she had finished but she hasnt

Dats what I picked na. Sent the hotel a mail sef to confirm and called de$, they said they will take d first night fee.

U can check Pasha Hotels, free cancellation is stated der, yet...

Good morning, I keep asking this question, who has made a successful hotel reservation in London and paid on arrival.

The hotels I saw want to charge me for the first night immediately. I had to cancel one by midnight coz I got a bank notification that my account couldn't be debited due to insufficient balance (I have 40k der) and the amount the said was even the total money (158k) for my stay, not even the first night charge wch is like 19500k. Na wa!!!

Ppl u guys shud help out, dis is d only thing left in my application.

I don't live on buget, so can't say for sure how much I spend monthly or how much I give to family/dependents? Hope they don't chk all des from d acct stmt?

Must every detail remain the same on the last and new applications. Example, d number of days I will be staying was 10 before, can I change it to 7 or 8? While the VO get suspicious?

And want to use another hotel different from the former one. Any big deal?

Am still having issues getting a hotel that wouldn't bill me for the first night now. I tot they will give a certain 'grace' period before they will cancel or takes some charges.

Who has done this before, I know many ppl dey jand now, pls assist here ooo.

Without the acct stmt where d investments occur. My main account is different, dts d one I used. I will use everything now, all bank accounts stmt, hope it won't be too much

Justwise, remember I attached my investment certificate initially but they said they can't see evidence of the interests I receive monthly from my investment?

How else can I prove this to them if not thru the investment certificate?

Thank you for the feedback. just to be clear . what about the bold. Because they were saying that if i change my appointment, i will have to check for a non paying centre, only when a non paying centre is not available that is when i can apply for refund

Best thing to do is search for one that doesn't charge on reservation. When searching, standard criteria i use are:

Free cancellation
Free Parking
Free Wi-fi
Free Breakfast

Yes, in that order. However, in the UK i don't have to stay in a hotel but if i did it'll just be free cancellation and wi-fi.

Its been clearly stated not to submit original documents,in this century it doesn't matter if its photocopy they can easily verify.however you can write to the BHC and they would consider you or inform you that they warned against it.no harm

I'm an avid user of booking.com. You do not have to drop your credit card details; you can use a debit card to secure the booking. You can then pay cash at the hotel when you get there or pay with your card. going forward, i will be paying cash as the last hotel booking in Orlando was advertised for N8k+ but i ended up paying over N10k.

Lol chill please. its just speculations, they forget to return some documents too sometimes, like the last application they took out my sisters secondary school testimonial probably thinking it was a letter from the school to them. Maybe just maybe they took out yours mistakenly. So calm down. if it was fake they would have written something about doubting the credibility of the document.

They got to be kidding me. Then i have to write to the BHC

I think they only keep fake documents. Everyone i know that was refused at one time or the other got all their documents back. The few people i know that didnt get their docs back, statement of account, and employment letters, those documents were fake. Except things have changed now

Those that applied for UK visa and submitted Abuja centre, did y'all do an interview? I am looking for a faster way now coz my leave period is very close. Was it really 3 days......from online appl to when passport was finally collected?

That's about 18 days. I tot Ikeja centre takes 7 days

[sub][/sub] Form filled on 18th and submitted on 20th. Collected on 5th,was processed in Abuja. 18k was paid online after ikeja was chosen as centre for submission

I got your message, it is a pretty long story which I do not have the time to share, bottom line is that key facts of my application was not considered including submitted documents before making a decision. So I wish to contact the BHC to look into the case again, but I have not been able to get their contact

Nma01, when did u apply online, when did u submit at the centre and when did u get the passport back. The dates please.

Ask people that have appealed before to guide you, or talk to justwise to know if you are abt taking the right step, if the fault wasn't from you.
Asides that, i wish you can tell us what it was, people are here to learn so they don't make 'avoidable' mistakes.
