Ifedolapo Oladepo Did Not Die in Camp - NYSC

THE National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) has, on Friday cleared air over the controversial death of a First Class graduate of Transport Management, Ifedolapo Oladepo from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Osogbo at its orientation camp in Kano State.

In an exclusive chat with Vanguard , the KANO Coordinator of NYSC, Abdullahi Baba said that the late Coper died in a Government hospital.

“The truth of the matter was that the Coper did not died at the camp, she died in the hospital. She was sick, treated at the camp clinic, and when she was not responding, she was taken to second facility hospital at Gwarzo General hospital “.

Speaking further, the state Coordinator “I have reported the matter to my Head office, she was handled by our doctors in the camp before she was transferred to Government hospital.”

He distanced the Camp management from the Coper’s death stressing that “we have nothing to do with her death, the records and the file are there, the Doctors that treated her at the camp are there likewise those that treated her in her at the Government hospital”.

The Coordinator declared that “anything outside this account is falsehood and people are free to hold opinion whether positive or negative but the beautiful things are that the records there for anyone to access “.

Abdullahi Baba who ruled out negligence on the part of NYSC management said “her case was handled by professional and I believe they know better.

but wait does all this sad news especially cases like negligence like this get to the government...I mean...who investigates issues like this and punishes erring parties..walahi...this is the saddest and most mind numbing case of NYSC bullsh.it I av come across in a while...you see...most health practitioners in this country should be made to sign a document that would make them liable for any unnecessary death as a result of negligence or abuse of their jobs..that hippocratic oath is just like hypocritical oath...that woman is shattered....i dont take nonsense from any nurse or doctor...most of them are proud, insensitive,full of themselves,very unprofessional and plain annoying....i av had several clashes with them because of my dissatisfaction on how they discharge their duties...I don't take nonsense from them....i will continue clashing and if possible insult them if they cross my path....imagine a mother calling a nurse on behalf of her dying daughter and the idio.t couldn't take it serious...I experienced something like this during NYSC and I blame those Corpers in the medical group..they saw their colleague dying and did nothing....i pray this doesn't happen to any of us....this is just sad..

That's a police Hilux van...those guys over speed you need to see them on the highway..acting like they have a spare life somewhere...i was on a journey recently and was on 160km/hr...I was driving a 2014 hilux...the road was good and I was conversant with it as it had no bends...I had sighted this Kia Rio 2015 model far back and didn't think much about it...less than 3 mins later...this car was right behind me and before I could look again...it overtook me effortlessly while I was on 160km,i kept wondering how a fragile Kia Rio would 'dust' an Hilux and how fast it would have to go to overtake..walahi..Nigerians can drive..but don know the art, science and principles of safe driving...Rest in peace to those who lost their lives...to those alive,drive safely..

I am an architect,studied in Nigeria though,did my first and second degree concurrently...afterwards NYSC....now...this is the flow in Nigeria...first u get a degree from any good school of architecture in Nigeria,if after ur first degree you apply for ur second degree that's ur masters' degree so to speak,and ur application is granted,then and only then can u continue ur studies without Nysc..afterwards you then go for NYSc

Now ...you have a foreign certificate,it would have been better if you had ur second degree before returning to Nigeria for NYSC...as you don't av it now,you will have to go for NYSC..cos the NYSC discharge certificate is a very important requirement for employment in Nigeria,after ur NYSC is done...you can go for ur second degree,full practice.....u are free as a bird..

Conversely...you can't apply for a second degree in architecture without NYSC,all schools of Architecture in Nigeria will ask for it before you get admitted...the major reason why it's preferable to get a masters degree in architecture before going for NYSC is to enable you write the PPCE exam without having to go through stages 1 and 2....

as it is now...you can apply to NIA to become a graduate member ...i.e..a graduate architect...After ur masters' degree you qualify to become an associate architect...when you finally write the PPCE exam and pass,then you qualify to get registered as a full architect...or become a registered architect with powers to check,seal and approve drawings....

Oga...dis ur architect's work get as e be...probably because of the brief u gave him..at any rate...spatial relationship between spaces seem fair enough...however..ur dining is small...there are some spaces that could be better than they are...I know it's a draft anyway...if u leave it this way...ur roof will be interesting with this shape...ur budget is the main reason whether u will go on with this or not..
