A former Senior Senator asked me to bring to him my CV last week but couldn't make it to his Apo legislative Quarters house until today. He was quarreling me on why I didn't bring it since last week before he forwarded names to DSS?! He even said he needed only the CV and the class of degree and not the other credentials. So ive being calling my senator for sometime bt he doesn't pick neither those he reply my WhatsApp chats. So I woke up this morning and decided to send him an SMS and a WhatsApp chat and hence he knows my father personally I told him I'm my father's son. I pleaded with him that I'm seriously looking for gainful employment, to my greatest surprise he replied by saying I shod send him my CV.

All of you guys saying you wont buy ministry job for 1.2mil most be joking. 60k/month is your return of investment. Plus those of us that worked in various ministries know that the work is not demanding at all. You will have all the time you need in this world for any business you want to pursue. In this current Nigeria sef, what business will you start with 1.2mil that will yield you 60/70k per month? And dont forget business comes with risks. To be honest 1.2 may seem a bit high for a min job but my bro/sis if you have the money and get connect you better buy am oo. Some mins even travel frequently, you may probably recover your money in a year sef. Those who know, know.

It is desperation that make someone to pay for ministry work above 500k. If you are patient, 300k-400k is the actual amount. The middle men are the ones inflating it because if you have 300k, go to FCSC and meet those guys at your commissioner's office, tell them what you want and the rest is history. If you are too desperate, you will either be scam or you will pay heavily.

I have gotten the APL. The job agent is asking for the balance payment and documentation and IPPIS capture has not been done.

Tell him after documentation because we still have fake APL flying around.

Payment was made three weeks ago. The sum is quite high. Half payment was done.

Be careful because this half payment of a thing the backfire...if the money don go, e don go be that...na after documentation/ippis before you go fit breath...shine your eyes before desperation put you in trouble

I haven't tried this tips, but if someone was to solicit my help through text, I would like it to be so:

1.) No need patronizing the person. Go straight to the point.
2.) Pretend it's a job you are applying for. State your qualifications.
3.) State your aptitude for informal work or blue collar job. He might have his own personal establishment.
4.) If you must send evidence use screenshots. PDF files must be clicked on to view but screenshots are images, they will be seen.
5.) If you get no response. Don't text again for a month. But don't send happy new month or happy Sunday message. Make a text analyzing a recent happening, even if it is controversial. Don't expect a reply.
6.) Still no response. Wait for 3 months. Send a text asking him to allow you call him by say 2pm. If he replies with another schedule fine. If he doesn't reply fine. If he says ok fine. Call at that time. If he picks fine, if he doesn't pick fine. You know now, he doesn't want to help. You leave them an emotional blackmail message. Do not insult o.
7.) Don't call or text again.

My Senator and a Minister did not picked my called or replying text; My HoR (he read my first message on whatsapp without reply, after two weeks, I sent another one requesting for Recommendation Letter, he blocked me immediately after reading it) and a Head of an Agency also block me on whatsapp after reading my messages. I don't know what to do again ooo. If anybody have better ways, please drop it here so people like me can learn.

Ask knowledgeable civil servants about transfer of service and let them tell you the truth about what you don’t know. You don’t have to laugh in Swahili, you should cry in sobriety for displaying ignorance.

Some people don't want to learn, your point is very clear to everyone. My Uncle and his friend transferred their own from Benue State Teaching Service to Federal Civil Service where they retired as Director in Ministry of Education last year.

The Nigerian army recruitment form is currently out.

For those of you with BSC, it's worth it. You won't be drafted into the infantry or artillery etc. You won't go and be fighting war if you apply via DSSC with your degree so don't be scared. You will be drafted into the education corps, engineering, health, budget and financing, etc. You start as a commisoned officer, a second lieutenant and pay is about 160k monthly. Free accommodation, cheap command schools (10-20k per term) for your kids etc. You can reach the rank of a Colonel with DSSC (only those who pass through NDA 5 year course for RC can attain a general rank) but colonel ain't bad. If you apply now, you can even apply for voluntary discharge after a minimum of 10 years and go back to your civilian life.

Instead of waiting an eternity for an imaginary FG job in Firs, nnpc, nasdr, etc give this a try. Coz to be honest with you, most of you are wasting your time. If you are not ready to buy slot in your dream Firs, nasrd, nspri, nerc, amcon and their likes then submitting CVs and hoping for a miracle is a waste of time let me not deceive you. The senators and HoRs you are getting their numbers for help , it's easier to be struck by a lightening than they attending to you or do you think you're the only one on their neck? They have families, kids of friends , friends of friends, friends of friends of friends of friends looking for slot for themselves or their kids yet you believe they will attend to a total stranger from nowhere? Go to LinkedIn and see jaw dropping resumes , most of you can offer at most a 3 page CV yet you dey find work for these top agencies and firms who dey deceive you? Better wake up to reality. If that senator is not your uncle , your father or your father's best friend then you're on your own.

Do you think that joining the military is easy? I applied the last time but I didn't have 800k to pay (a slot from a wife of one general). I can't apply this year because of the age limit(23-27) SSC, while the last time it was 23-29; as an engineer, I don't have COREN for DSSC. Let me tell you, Nigerian graduates are trying but the truth is there are no space to occupy all of us.

I sent my HoR message on whatsapp requesting for a Recommendation Letter (so that my CV will not look ordinary), he read the message and later blocked me. @Nwanyiogwashi please I still need the tip you promise us or anybody who has a better way of submitting CV should let me know. As for me , I sent new month message via sms and he responded after two days. Then I sent my request and my cv yesterday Wednesday he read it today , no response yet , he hasn’t blocked me yet. I will only back it up with prayers so I can get a positive response from him.
