it might be true that the US has interest in Nigeria, but with our present state of democracy i don't see them doing much. If you take a close look at countries that have been attacked by the west its on the basis of terrorism, or weapon of mass destruction or all sort, you would discover this trend of sit tight presidency or poor democratic system like, iraq,libya,sudan, etc. The more reason why Nigeria/Nigerians should protect democracy and avoid a civil war or religious war. If all this are done i say we would be giving any world leader,s sleepless night at thinking up a master plan for any attack.

Moreover, Nigeria is strategic to the world and Africa, any atempt by the west for any reason to attack Nigeria, may mean doom.

fellis: This is a nice thread to read. However, regardless of the fact that most Christians know not all Muslims are badly behaved, the minute a bombing in the North is mentioned, rational reasoning goes out of the window and they direct their vitriol to every single muslim on earth.
Some very unpleasant Christians have made life difficult for me in different instances but that would in no way justify my directing anger to the entirety of the Christian population so I really wish the anger-fuelled generalization towards Muslims would stop.
