lol... Una non de look Uche face for this investment section at all.

Oya na, Stocktrader, you were giving oga Emma hard tackle earlier, now is the time to also provide some insight on this crude oil deal or process.
TransAtlanticEx:
The position you hold no really matter much to me,honestly.
Lift is a term used to describe moving crude from the reservoir hundreds of meters beneath the surface to the surface, any oil and gas player knows this.
"Load" is the term you should have used undecided
I still ask you again, why would a company that want to buy crude send just a single person to Nigeria who they might probably fund before product arrive their storage facility, risking them to advance fee fraud and hidden charges when they could just meet crude brokers and pay after delivery?
What was your advantage over others?
Unless of course you were sent to buy stolen crude, this your story sounds very illogical to me.

Oh shit... For a nation that was looking for buyers on the high sea, this was an opportunity lost.

Once again, another proof to show Nigerians are our worst enemies.

But for a level of deal like, you needed to knock at the doors of Finance department of Aso Rock and maybe thinking about it, you also would have had to share that 5% to a lot of people who could take you up to the presidency.

There is no way that kind of deal would have been rejected if it had got high up. Just no way.
Stocktrader:
let me give you little insight about the Deal. The deal of the Crude oil was for company I will not name based in Gibraltar, They have contracts and was exporting to their clients worldwide from Iraq.
During the Isis war, they could not meet up targets anymore and desperately needs a country to supply them. Since I'm from Nigeria, I was assigned to make a direct link with NNPC and they will bid directly with NNPC. Company owner portfolio is £3B plus.

My percent stage for just making a successful link that yields positive results was just 5% for every 2million barrels a month which is minimu the do lift and has capacity of 20 million barrels a month

I was to make $500,000 monthly for the next 5years for each two million barrels, and if the lift 4 million barrels, I will make in that month 1million and if the lift 20, I will make $10million.

But this dishonest individuals blocked all my efforts and demanding outrageous fees , I ended up losing that deal to Angola.

So you join those when de put stress on USD abi.
Never knew crude oil was a commodity that anyone could export, to the best of my knowledge Crude Oil is only exported through the nation's export lines handled mostly by SPDC in collaboration with NNPC.
Anyway, how easy has it been for you to repatriate your funds? Do you use Aboki or CBN?

Stocktrader:
My brother I don't base in Nigeria, I only import into Nigeria not export.
One thing I wanted to consider exporting from Nigeria was crude oil, but a lot of dishonest links and crooks abide in NNPC.

All these people shouting poverty mentality. All you need to do is tell him that even the 200k is cheap, that some cost even higher than 1M.

You can then proceed to tell him that there are TVs that are smart, touch screen and connect to the internet the same way a laptop would.

Some other TVs are curved then there is screen size.

Some people genuinely don't know and are probably young so that spending such an amount on TV is not in their radal for now

Many average to high end inverters allow you to manually configure your charge rate.

What's your present inverter type?

earthrealm:
Yeah, its not gonna be cheap, when you factor in shipping and all, plus tying down funds for an indefinite periods, its in same price point as sorotec, sorotec has 3.2kw 48v variant, which is gr8. 90amps mppt, while this is 100amps mppt.

@ house, is there a way to use a non lithium batteey specific inverter and Cc to charge lithuim battery?.
I think for cc, one can maybe play with the bulk and absorb time and voltage settings to get it work for lithuim, but for inverter.. seems no show.

Ayam tired, upon the hefty money am gonna spend on lithuim, to still add buying new inverter/cc to the budget get as e be o.

This here is what they call modeling. The risk has been captured analyzed and found not to be as big as it is been speculated to be.
There is one argument that the nay sayers have been able to disprove, which is how come CBN held USD successfully at around 360 till when coronavirus kicked in? If you claim 2016 is different from 2020, what are the difference and how is the fundamentals of 2016 better than 2020?

Question for you @awesomej, we cannot deny that around December, USD was already beginning to feel some pressure and many analyst were so sure that CBN will devalue this year even though CBN came out to deny it. How come that prediction came to pass even though neither party foresaw coronavirus?
awesomeJ:
With all the noise about people sweeping out dollars: For a population of about 100m adults, how many people would you guess to be having eurobond or dollar fund accounts as at July 2020?

With the way some people are saying boys will clear... here, you'd think at least 1m people.

The fact is not even 100k, not even 10,000 people out of 100m have investments in eurobond and dollar funds. As a matter of fact, it's just under 7,000 entities in the entire nation and perhaps in the diaspora too.

So, like I said, there are folks who can afford to buy 10,000 USD currently, but they have funds tied in properties or other illiquid assets, there are also those who can afford to, but already have their funds in foreign currencies. BUT the Really VAST majority would just rather have their bills sorted than worry about buying dollars.

So in the end, the available naira to speculate with is grossly overrated.

Check VGIF, for instance, it's perhaps the fixed income vehicle with the highest yield these days, and with all the yield seeking guys moving money there, the fund has only grown from about N2.2bn when rates crashed in October 2019 to about N6.9bn in July.

So If all those who poured the N4.7bn there chose to buy dollars at 380 instead, their money won't even be enough to buy $13m.
The bulk of that N4.7bn could have even been from institutional client(s) o.
Yet some people think $50m weekly which is $200m every month is small liquidity.

You're looking overly down on the size of the dollar supply whereas you're overestimating the size of the available naira.

The guys with real liquidity that can scare me are pension funds with trillions worth of idle cash, not all these speculators that can't even buy $100,000 in a whole year.
Regulations prevent the PFAs from speculating.

Another thing you do not seem to be aware of is that most schools in Cotonou have accounts in Nigeria that students pay their school fees in, and you can trade naira directly with CFA in Cotonou, so those countries are not our immediate problems. Na importation be the main culprit not the schools in those countries that are owned by Nigerian owners.
Perhaps na Cyprus, Eastern Europe and perhaps North Africa the rogue schools de.

Your projections last week came out wrong this week. You insisted price were not going to change.
We will wait for 7th to see how far this one will also go.

TransAtlanticEx:
I see something happening on the 7th of september,2 outcomes;
1)CBN will sell dollars but in small quantity, that will either not go round amongst all BDCs or will go round but in very minute quantity(this still breeds scarcity).
This will have so little impact on the price market for fx,especially with increased demand due to resumption of international travel and have rates shoot back up again to the mid 400s.
Or
2)CBN will be bold enough to release much funds and risk destroying its $35B which will totally collapse its naira las las in the long run which I know they can't risk...
OPEC is beginning to ease oil cuts which might bring down oil price again or stagnate it,which means less inflow for the CBN and we also know remittances and FDIs or FPIs are out of the picture this season.
Cheap dollar people, don't be optimistic yet,e get why grin
Next week will be funny,we dey wait... grin

If you want to test how inefficient democracy is in this our ITK clime, use your whatsapp group and ask for opinions on how much contribution each member should make for say an orphanage, I can almost assure you that for 3 weeks you will still be on that discussion without a headway. But let the admin of the whatsapp group say, we are making a donation we have identified xyz orhphanage and have put a baseline of 1k for each person. Pay more if you can, pay less if you can't. There will be less argument in such situation. All over the world, the millitary is the most efficient organization in the world because of the order of hierarchy.

The one that frighten me the most was the Huawei matter.
