Car Talk / Re: How Cars 45 Ripped Us Off by Oktane: 9:18pm On Mar 20, 2018
HazzanTazzan:

You're def a fool...

To even face me and say rubbish.

Firstly, they sold me a car without custom paper... I asked for custom papers before making payment but they said papers will be brought out after I pay...

After payment, story changed... they didn't know it didn't have papers... pay extra 60k for the papers...

Engine is almost dead...

Gear is almost dead...

And so on...

So you in your shallow mind believe cars45 wrote these things on their report for me and I bought the car?

In short, you're a bastard to even defend what's not defendable...

Sir! How could you agree to such terms? You were asked to pay before viewing the customs papers and you assented?

Sometimes I have no choice but to wonder.

I have followed this thread from the beginning and on the strength of the discourse here decided to pay a visit to the Ikeja warehouse of Cars45 posing ASA prospective buyer. Quite frankly, all the telltale signs are obvious but most people are so excited (a typical Nigerian Failing) they cannot or better put ignore the signs. Cars45 thrives on the lack of attention to detail by their prospects. I wouldn't say that they are completely dishonest but could admit that their model is not exactly straight but legit nonetheless. Truthfully, you couldn't win them in a legal tangle if they have a really smart attorney. We as a people need to be more circumspect.

God bless you jor

This is the best thing you can do in this economy as we stand now. Your best bet is investing in trading of an FMCG product especially at Distributorship level.

Very low risk, very consistent returns, high turnover but low margins.

Find someone who has succeeded in this regard and model him or better still join an FMCG distribution group and take their guidance course.

No need reinventing the wheel and making expensive yet avoidable mistakes.

Best thing I have achieved in recent times.

Travel / Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by Oktane: 11:16pm On Oct 11, 2017
My US B1/B2 expired July 2016. I chose then not to renew it as I wasn't planning on travelling to the US for a while. And more so, I must have seen somewhere on their website that one could still apply after 24 months (not so sure anymore though).

I now wish to make a trip there for the Christmas and wonder if I am still eligible to renew it via Dropbox.

Please note that I visited the US twice on that visa and beer spent more than 1 week in each case.

Kindly advise.

Thanks for your responses.

Why don't you just download it yourself? There are many ways to download ebooks for free.

Can you show a brother how this is done? I would appreciate.

and how are you sure that Dangote is not corrupt too? how are you sure he's not a ritualist or doesn't have people that kidnap on his behalf or belong to cult himself? or what type of saint wines and dines with the likes of Saraki and other corrupt politicians? trust no one, only trust yourself . people do all sorts of things for money and appear humble and kind. but the dumb ones are those that get it illegally and still flaunt it illegally. but that doesn't mean the humble ones are not dirty. no rich man,no human being can be trusted. I just hope Nigeria becomes a better place so that people will stop making ends meet by scamming and ruining our country's reputation

I was waiting for a post that would refer to ritualistic inclinations and even cultism. You know we can never go lowered than this. It beats me that otherwise very intelligent Nigerians will subscribe to theories of ritual processes and cultism producing wealth such as attained by Dangote. We really need to remodel our thinking honestly. Dangote being simple and modest it loud and arrogant is not the issue here. Those inclinations are a reflection of his person and evolutionary level. His contributions to the society is a moral question. His philanthropy cannot and should be judged as this is at his discretion. Society cannot judge the man based on other people's standards. People are different. We have to learn to listen to these interviews objectively.
Personally, I think Dangote is a great man. I allow room for his weaknesses and try it to judge him by my own standards. Afterall I am not in his shoes and our circumstances and predicates are different.
