hello, can I pm you or have your contact to discuss with you?

Although am not the one you asked the question but am interested in the business too.

I'm from Ibadan but please is it a kind of business that any gender could do? I'm male but can a female do the job as well?

Thanks
I think it is very suited for mature and resolute females.

I also think it's a great business for Ibadan. Only 5 people will be considered for Ibadan. During the presentation, one of the things highlighted was that Ibadan would require initial capital of about 180k but will require shoring up to 450k within 30 - 90 days.

Beautiful thing is that it is done in weekly cycles. So whatever you invest must come out (both capital and profit) before you re-invest.

The company already has a detailed and comprehensive business plan/model for prospective investors in Lagos, Ibadan and Abeokuta. Sagamu, Ijebu Igbo, and Ijebu Ode.

My advice is that anyone who is interested should do a small trial first before taking the plunge.

A trial will not exceed 10,000 investment and you can still get your money back in 24 hours.

Business / Re: I Need Hustling That Can Pay Me At Least 6k Daily by Oktane: 8:28am On Dec 15, 2018
If you live in Lagos, Abeokuta, Sagamubor Ibadan, I can suggest a an offline traditional business that can bring you that amount after about 2 to 3 months.

Initially it will be bringing you about 3k but with traction it will take you to 6k and beyond. I must also add that it is not a walk in the park.....at least initially.

It works like magic but requires an initial capital of about 45k (depending on what you choose though). It also has nothing to do with multi-level marketing in any of varied forms.

Another beautiful thing about it is that you can conduct a trial with about 10k to ascertain its suitability for you and your area.

Phones / Re: Nokia Users, Get In Here!!! by Oktane: 12:11pm On Dec 09, 2018
Hi Guys, I want to replace my phones. I am currently using a Nokia 3 which I bought earlier in the year. Battery is not wonderful ( my data is always on though).

Can someone recommend a good Nokia I can use now? Budget is 100k. Emphasis should be on processing speed, storage and battery.

I will appreciate this, thanks.

I am not Yoruba, niether am Igbo nor Hausa. I do however have tremendous respect for Mr. Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

I consider him a most intelligent albeit cunning politician. You underestimate him to your own peril. Even his closest confidants do not see the handwriting on the wall.

He definitely has something up his sleeve but let's just tarry and see what he will spring for our consumption by late January.

TINUBU IS NO FOOL even though he needs to be reminded from time to time that he doesn't have 100% control over all outcomes no matter how carefully planned and executed. There is an unseen hand that moderates outcomes and this hand is indescribably altruistic.

2019 will be a year of GREAT SURPRISES. We are already being treated with the preambles.

Politics / Re: We Want Atiku Probed For Going To Dubai – APC by Oktane: 3:07pm On Nov 05, 2018
ImperialYoruba:

Another Atikulator put his blunders on advertisement.

He has a personal doctor here and there is a full medical facility in Aso Villa for the President, the VP, their families and staff. His health was managed in that facility until a point where he had to be flown out based on his medical team decision.

Would you have preferred for him to die here? You saw how he looked when he returned and you know he was rushed out again shortly after. If foreign hospitals went through that much struggle to save him....imagine what the case would have been if he had been here. He would die. There is justification, and is not comparable to taking local economy to foreign land to host a meeting. Speak like you graduated from university. By the way, which university issued your credential?

In case of Atiku, give me a good justification for meeting in Dubai to put policy together.

Please dont advertise any more Atikulate ignorance when you post.

Your post is quite worthwhile. Interesting and very objective but it nonetheless underscores your leaning.
I think it is the prerogative of the Atiku/PDP group to have think-tank session wherever in the glove they may choose to.

I must say that I am a bit excited about the duo of Atiku and Obi because of their individual accomplishments in the business world.

Again they took the right step in convening a round table 'wherever ' and this indicates to a large extent that they take this job seriously.

Never before have we had a party/team come together to strategize not on how to win the elections but on how to deliver on promises. This time they are even meeting before making promises. You will agree with me that this is unprecedented and even laudable.

Pls note that I became a fan of Peter Obi after his well publicised speech at the platform (Poju Oyemades church). What swayed me in his favour was the fact that no one came to counter his positioning years after he made them.

I really appreciate this thread because it has really giving me basic knowledge of the industry. What I want this thread to touch is the selling price of the bread to distributors and the final retailers and the cost of production from the bakery. How many bread can we get from 50kg bag with each sizes of breads. Knowing this will help us to do the sales forecast and also help in preparing a good business plan for it especially for the newbies and those who will eventually want go into it whether it is profitable to venture or not.

This is very important. I am strongly of the opinion that the OP should as a matter of urgency consider working on the sales plan and strategy for getting a significant market share.

I inclined to believe that the business of bakery will definitely have a very demanding sales effort.

My own advice is that you get as sales job. A good training in sales with a resultant success will build your self esteem and prepare you for the future.

I am sure that you can get a basic salary that is more than 15k and if you are selling the right product and o the right customer your commissions should be at least five times that amount.

as I am not clear on what u mean? or how does one go about distribution without some form of marketing?

sir, ur suggestion on FMCG is well taken, I am working hard to secure something on that front

I never said there would be no marketing. I only suggest that with an exclusive distribitorship arrangement one can market less. Of course the product must be something in high demand in that neighbourhood. Believe me there are products with this characteristics; utilitarian, affordability and regularity of use. If you now are able to negotiate for exclusivity rights then GBAM, you re on course.

That was a typo. I actually wanted to type that I am more inclined to a mobile distribution service which makes use of a car rather than a shop. Forgive me.

My experience shows that a a shop may just be an unnecessary appendage for a new starter in business. Many retailers are serviced daily without moving an inch from their locations. I think they actually prefer this model.

Examples abound where various distributors for Noodles and other products service the demand of their customers without owning a shop. This is why I had in mind. Proselling wrote something like this somewhere and used the cigarette censoring system as an example.

I am also privy to the fact that a lot of distribution takes place using this model. So the money you would have used for the renting of a shop can be deployed as working capital and used to buy more goods this expanding your profit potential especially considering that for the majority of FMCG manufacturers the higher the volume of purchas the higher the discount you can attract.

Please keep looking at the FMCG sector and try not to concentrate on the 'big ones'. Seek out the smaller and medium sized ones who are barely known and try to use your large capital as a leverage.

A shop will naturally come at the right time. For me the first step is for you to turn around your money 'daily' if possible.

OP I hope you are following the trend. Sales of FMCG is the fastest way to go. I suggest you prevail on Proselling and HappyScent to suggest what you will be profitable to you.

May I add that I disagree with the fixed location approach. I am more inclined to a mobile distribution service with a car and attending to the demands of a particular neighbourhood for which you already have exclusive rights for the manufacturing/importing company.

Proselling:
I think you are on the right path already.
Your preferred sectors are an indication of the fact that you have a fair understanding of this economy.

Wholesale of any FMCG product would be your best bet. A number of reasons can be adduced for this including but not limited to the following;

1. The lack of long training/orientation.

2. the very low risk potential of the business (if approached very carefully and strategically).

3. The fact that in the majority of cases you can pull out all your investment within a very short time frame.

4. The consistency in the profit schedule of this business(Daily earnings/profitability).

5. Territorial Exclusivity. If you get the distributorship for a reasonably sized company you could pull through with a territorial monopoly.
This would give you exclusive rights to selling and distribution rights of the company's products in a particular location thus warding off any
competition.

The key for you is to seek out a small to medium sized company and negotiate for exclusive territorial rights in your preferred area and then hit the ground running. many of such businesses have been mentioned here in Nairaland.

Need I say that you need to do your due diligence before choosing what is best for you under the present circumstances?

I could have advised more if I knew your exact geographical bearing. But I suppose you will get a lot of tips here.

Wishing you the very best of luck.

Best advice ever! I feel you bro. No smear smear!

Oga, could you expand on this suggestion in greater detail?

Could you recommend some products/company for me?

I am very interested.

Hello Moderator, I decided to contact you need on an observation.

You did mention that the food section is rather quiet. That can be changed over time if we plan to and work assiduously towards it.

While I do not know the requirements for getting a thread on front page I can however tell when I see a really good thread which can have far reaching positive consequences on the Nigerians especially those who are on Nairaland as members and guests. I am also aware that the quality of your front page threads us what to very large extent determines the quality readership and participation you attract.

I recommend that you seriously consider putting the thread about Demystifying Bread by Onnyx on the front page.

I even think that this thread should have been in the business section. But this could also be an opportunity to bring some attention to the food section.

You may wish to think about it.
