Starships4u:Many PDP leaders have always been sportsmanly until the Judasses (Ameachi and other parasites) crept in. |
billyG:Education is one thing but been wise is another. This is how people like you fail common comprehension in school. Pls point to any part of my post where I mentioned the word CANCEL. There's is a difference between cancel and review. Pls learn to be attentive anywhere you're. |
emmygzy:Many sensible Nigerians knew they were lying. |
prof1990:It shows you know little or nothing about economics. One hour is enough for a reactionary impact on the value of any national currency All over the world, monumental /colossal economic or political decisions (one of which is budget signing ) trigger almost immediate market reactions but in the case of Nigeria, nothing changes. |
Yungbitz:If you're not daft, how's this an initiative that's a clearcut departure from the age long dependence on hydro and gas power scheme that has led Nigeria to nowhere? Why are you Nigerians easily deceived by tokenism and pettiness? Changing power plant location matrix has suddenly become a big deal? How would that increase the generation capacity of the plants?Gosh! |
fizufizy:So after striving to provide power and security to our homes through generators and local vigilante, we would be the ones chasing militants? What's the primary function of Buhari and Fashola in govt? Haba! |
emerged01:But the man said providing power in 8 months isn't a rocket science contrary to the view you're expressing now. Let's think before talking or writing. OK? |
989900:No, compatriot. No rational thinking person would canvass for discontinuation of existing projects for new ones They must be complimentary. However, I find it unreconcilable for Fashola and Buhari not to introduce new initiatives that are different from the existing ones which they completely rubbished as a waste prior to the last election. By now, this govt should be focusing on alternative source(s) of power generation other than the gas and hydro powered ones. All the noises made in the rundown to the 2015 elections on electricity turnaround were mere hoax and election winning lies. That's my take. |
MrTruth4real:The article says the project was put on hold due to litigations and conflicts among vested stakeholders. Not necessarily intended to be outrightly abandoned. |
Standing5:Pls point to any part of my posts both past and current where I accused Fashola of continuing with existing projects other than picking him up on inability to initiate new initiatives to fastrack the power re-engineering process. If you had read my post before criticising, you would have noticed the part where I dressed him down on failure to review the existing power roadmap having condemned it in the past. Read carefully before reacting pls. |
kayfra:What's not true? That Buhari and Fashola ostensibly chose not to probe the power sector because of the bigwigs involved? Tell me another story. |
Sentiment aside, has anybody noticed that Fashola hasn't introduced any initiative on power improvement apart from recycling existing roadmap which he and other APC leaders (including Buhari) roundly condemned in the past? Having accused the last govt of awarding power projects to its cronies, one would have expected this govt to embark on massive review of the power contracts toward fast tracking electricity improvement but alas, it's déjà vu. Well, we know Buhari can't touch the owners of the GENCOs and DISCOs. Na only Dasuki, Deziani, Obanikoro FFK etc dem fit probe. |
ATERI:That's why Nigeria's quest for a first-world status will always be a mirage. No society grows in this manner. My only worry is about the mad crowd who're clapping for these primitive and brutish actions. |
TunjiMsp:In your rational thinking, can you pick any sense in EFCC asking someone to report to its office on Monday and having the same invitee's house invaded before schedule? Why are we blacks like these now? |
ATERI:This is Buhari doing the only thing he knows how to do best-jail, jail and jail and nothing else. Grow the economy, the man no fit. Unite the country, na wahala. Improve power supply, that one no be him headache. Improve the value of naira ,na herculean task. By the time Buhari finishes with Nigeria, Liberia may be a better place to live. |
Icecream4U:Don't be evasive. Just swear that you've not stolen one naira in your life up till today be it in the public or private life. |
Icecream4U:Did you just say "stolen your coffers"? Swear by your life and those of your children (if you have any) that you've not stolen one naira in your life. If you lie may heaven punish you forever. |
Ebubeslym:Ignorant of what? You must be out of your senses. |
Mjshexy:That foul tirade goes back to you and your entire generation. In your own illusion, only PDP personnel are qualified for the so-called investigation and prosecution and you think that's the way Nigeria can move forward? Is that how justice is served in your family? |
mayorkyzo:That's how it would be in the next three years. When a ruler only sees evil in those categorized as his enemies but closes his eyes from crime committed in his home( APC), nobody should expect a level playing ground. God's justice surpasses that of man. |
Mjshexy:If caging the opposition in the name of fighting corruption is your own template for national peace, you need some psychotic check. |
Ebubeslym:Some of your comments can be so idiotic and repulsive. Will the arrest of Fayose add one naira to your bank account or increase the value of our currency? How many critics (Ameachi inclusive) did Jonathan arrest during his 5-year reign? Remember there's always a day of reckoning for oppressors and evil doers and I can bet it with you that Buhari would have his own. If criticising Buhari's vindictive rule will fetch Fayose a jail, let God's will be done but I assure you that if he(Fayose) is not destined for incarceration, millions of Buhari would fail. |
The length and breath of the matter is that Buhari and his party lack integrity and conscience. The greatest culprit is Osinbajo who knows the truth but allows political and other pecuniary considerations to becloud his sense of reasoning. How are we expected to keep quite when elders deceive the nation with such impunity and seamlessness while expecting the nation to move forward? There's is no way APC will not pay dearly for deceiving the world to hijack power as long as Almighty God lives. |
Heaven always has a way of having these people shoot themselves in the leg. While the CCB was trying to save its face from public opprobrium, the presidency is inadvertently been put in a fix. There's no hiding place for both Buhari and Osibanjo since it's now a public knowledge that the verifications have been completed. Anything short of full public disclosures in line with their campaign promises should be resisted by Nigerians. As I said yesterday, this is the ample time to put Buhari's integrity claim to stiff test. |
yemmight:They won't just fizzle out like that. Unfortunately, all the efforts of Buhari are geared toward giving soft-landing to the terrorists in consonance with his pre-election stance. One would have expected him to fish out the fifth columnists in the army and other govt agencies for sanity to reign but the opposite is the case. While Cameroun, Chad and other neighboring countries are executing the insurgents after speedy trials, no single terrorist has been put on trial in Buhari's 11 months in power despite daily tales of arrests. |
Pavarottii:God bless you and your family too. |
Jesusloveyou:You guys can be funny with some of your responses when defending Buhari's knotty and incompetent govt. With all the allegations of corruption, Naira was moderately stable under Jonathan than its present killing position. FDI was on the ascendance, companies did not engage in mass sack as we have it today, capital market did not remain perpetually bullish, capital flight was not the order of the day and you're here defending the indefensible? Why do you always like to equate death with ordinary sleep? Get your facts right and stop celebrating mediocrity. |
Jesusloveyou:Wasting both financial and human resources on a senseless and needless war in Iraq was worst than stealing. More than 7000 American soldiers were wasted for no just course. |
oyb: |
oyb:Did Obama turn everything upside down in his first year? Did he complicate the living standard of Americans through obnoxious and thoughtless economic policies? Pleaseeeeeee. |
oyb:You're suffering the consequence of Buhar's incompetence and docility, nothing else. The US economy was in recession before Obama took over but we all know the story today. |
