Throw that general Officer Commanding HQ 7 Division, Major General M. Y. Ibrahim, in jail he is a boko haram sympathizer
Very true. Its obvious that some elements in the military tactically aided Boko haram during Jonathan's reign. The present military hierarchy must go all hog to fish them out or else, there is fire on the mountain. If the likes of Major General Ibrahim are not exposed and made to face the law by the APC govt, it means Buhari is not been sincere with Nigerians. I suspect this govt knew one or two things about Boko haram but time would tell.

Nobody raises issue on peer govt comparison but constantly excusing Buhari for his failures just because Jonathan failed in same regard is the problem. You can't say because the last administration fell short in some areas, then Buhari should not be blamed for threading same lane.

The situation is not helped by citizens here on Nairaland and elsewhere who often cite Jonathan's shortcomings to justify apparent mistakes in Buhari's govt. It's appalling and offensive to ears.
Politics › Using Jonathan And Pdp's Failings To Justify Buhari/APC's Ineptitude Must Stop. by OLADD(op): 10:55am On Apr 12, 2016
According to Cambridge English Dictionary, Change simply means doing something differently. In our contemporary day-to-day English, change connotes complete departure from an established position, norm, tradition, principle, attitude, behaviour, mentality etc. It also means moving from one particular state or position to another.

In the light of above definitions, admirers of the ruling (governing) party, most especially ardent supporters of President Buhari must come to term with the imperatives of realigning their mindsets to the Change Agenda of the APC government. Statements such as "did we complain when Jonathan did the same or similar thing in the past?" must be expunged from the thinking horizon and consciousness of those who truly wants Nigeria to move forward. If the main reason for rejecting PDP/Jonathan in the 2015 elections was to allow another party/president to chart a new course for our dear nation, Buhari and APC misdeeds or missteps must be laid entirely on their table instead of using Jonathan or PDP's similar aberrations as escape route.

If APC indeed promised a prudent and more purposeful governance, frugality and precinct must be seen to be their watchwords. Accusing PDP of running a wasteful and corrupt government while maintaining the status quo or even doing worst things is condemnable and hypocritical. Blaming Jonathan for deploying soldiers for elections and doing exactly the same in Rivers sounds incongruent. Accusing PDP of running a divisive adminstration but keeping mute in the face of Fulani escapades turns logics on its head. Spending millions of Naira on globe throttling while maintaining almost 10 Presidential fleet, a misnomer for which PDP was almost roasted by Lai Mohammed, Tinubu, Oyegun, Ameachi and Buhari, is nothing but festival of hypocrisy. Impoverishing the masses through oppressive policies as against ameliorating an already precarious situation does not depict positive change. The APC government must carve its own niche rather than recycling PDP's rejected ways.

Conclusively, justifying recklessness and mistakes of this adminstration on the premise of "Jonathan/PDP did the same thing" must end.

You're right. If it were China, Buhari would have been tied to the stake for instigating the death of youth corpers through his unguided "baboon and dogs" vituperation in the aftermath of 2011 elections. He would have become history for unable to account for $2.8b under his watch as PTF Chairman. Nonsense.
Politics › Re: The Man Shown By DSS Is Not Khalid Al-barnawi - Fulan Nasrullah by OLADD: 4:47pm On Apr 10, 2016
Buhari and APC made a mockery of the DSS during Jonathan's administration, demonized Merilyn Ogah and others who served the nation meritoriously and had them either demoted or humiliated out of office. Now, the same institution is gradually been turned to a secrete cult, an extensive political arm and footsoldiers of APC. Up till today, no single Boko haram member had been charged to court despite claims of arrests over the last 10 months. Black would always be black while Whites remain white.

If Dele Momodu with his political clout and international exposure did not see this coming (judging from Buhari's controversial stance on national issues before vieing for 2015 presidency), then Nigerian intellectualism is nothing but empty shell. The fight against the downturn of the economy is ongoing, and just like the boko haram war initially seems not to be working until signs are been seen today, his performance in the ares of the economy will also manifest soon.
Which past action was responsible for the economic hardship fostered on Nigerians by a naive and kindergarten leader? Global oil price downturn is consistently used as an excuse by this govt forgetting that the last administration was able to meander though it without inflicting pain on the citizenry. The nation's revenue base plummeted in the last adminstration yet kerosene price was not increased arbitrarily. Electricity tarif was not priced out of citizens' affordability. Naira did not fall to an abysmal N320/ dollar. Foreign students did not groan under the pain of forex palsity. I am not a PDP member but that party laid the foundation for a stable Nigeria . You're here spewing rubbish on Nairaland due to the deregulation and liberalisation of communication and information sectors respectively by the much vilified PDP. Sorry dude you're just one of the 15million Nigerians who lack intuitive reasoning ability. Did you bother to ask questions on the antecedents of APC promoters before investing your vote on them? How many (real) jobs did Fashola, Amaechi, Tinubu, Okorocha and even Buhari create during their past stewardship? How many poor did APC governors feed in the past? Which of the past APC governors provided constant public water supply in their respective states? How many of them provided free (real free) and qualitative education to their indigenes? Before Americans decide to elect any president, his past achievements as a senator, governor or Rep is put to test but here in Nigeria, people follow the madding crowd. Buhari has not failed you but you failed yourselves.

One of the major problems wrong with Nigerians is that we forget easily. This is the reason why hardened criminals and looters in the past can easily come back and contest for public office to the extent of winning. It is so sad that some people, mostly youths who are the leaders of tomorrow are going about with the slogan "#BringBackOurCorruption". They say they want the last administration presided by Good luck Ebele Jonathan back in power cos they can't stand the current fuel scarcity amidst other challenges that I believe the Nation will breeze through in due time.

This brainwashed blind bats who love to view things ethnically are quick to forget that the fuel scarcity experienced towards the end of the last administration's tenure was really unbearable compared to what we are currently facing now. Then, major sectors were shutting down, from telecommunications to the media, from aviation to banking. Nigerians were literally cut off from the rest of the world during that period. A period in which getting a bus to the bank to withdraw money was difficult cos buses had no fuel. When you manage to get to the bank, you are told you arrived late cos they close early due to shortage of diesel. Was the power sector any different?

Take a look at the pictures of fuel scarcity events that took place in the last administration below and tell me that Nigerians didn't make a good choice in voting them out.
OP, you're utterly sick. Famished brains like you are the reasons Nigeria will find it difficult to move forward. How can you use an event that took place few weeks to the end of Jonathan's govt to judge his 5-year tenure?

GEJ spent over $10billion to increase power generation which was at over 4000mw to 5000mw. Then when he was handing over in May 29th, total generation crashed to 1327mw.

http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/183496-nigerias-power-generation-at-all-time-low-crashes-to-1327mw.html

And then Buhari takes over and power jumps up to 5000mw in months (you praise GEJ) and then after some months again it falls to zero (you blame Buhari). You have the shameless guts to hail GEJ as a hero for building 5000mw but turn around to blame Buhari when you know pretty well that the rotten power infrastructure he inherited fluctuates like crazy?... You must be very proud of this your strange wisdom.

Obama did not exchange blames with his predecessors because obviously, empty headed supporters of his predecessors did not jump online on a daily basis wailing about how an Obama who just took over months ago was responsible for the failed economy.
Still shows you've made up your mind to have your conscience sold to Satan permanently. Every discerning mind knew Jonathan's govt was sabotaged by APC agents towards the tail end of his administration hence, the 1327MW. One thing you'll toil all day to dispute is the fact that the foundation for the 5000MW attained few weeks into Buhari's deceitful govt was laid by Jonathan but as I said earlier, Buhari failed to consolidate on that achievement due to his kindergarten policies.

In the case of Obama, contrary to your mischievousness, it was your lying president (Buhari) that started the blame game when he hoaxed the world with the tale of empty treasury. Nigerian economy is now on ground zero due to Buhari's directionlessness, incompetence, unpreparedness and absolute naivety. A man that spent 12 years fighting for the presidency should not take 10 months to find his bearing in govt. Simple.

APC only blames GEJ when GEJ supporters blame a 10-months old Buhari regime for Nigeria's woes.

For instance, how does one explain the bizarreness of GEJ supporters blaming Buhari/Fashola (who just had first budget passed 2 weeks ago) for our poor power infrastructure even when their hero GEJ spent over $10billion on power but handed over darkness? ... I would appreciate a reasonable explanation for this bizarre case.

If jonathanian can just shut up or criticise sensibly and stop making uncanny wailing references to how GEJ was a messiah who would have saved Nigeria, I can assure you the APC would forget if GEJ ever existed.
It's better you keep quite if you don't have anything meaningful to say. It was not Jonathanians that started the blame game but Lai Mohammed, Buhari, Tinubu and other irresponsible APC leaders who scammed Nigerians to get power. Obama inherited an almost failed United States but he never for one day blamed his predecessor for the rots. Instead, he hit the ground running and the rest is now history. If you care to know, the result of $10b allegedly spent by Jonathan on power is the all-time-high 5000mw generation capacity inherited by Buhari and his directionless govt but he failed to consolidate on that feat due to his ineptitude, naivety and crass incompetence. A govt that brings hardship on its citizenry in just 10 months deserves to be criticized and condemned. Retrieve your conscience from Satan.
