Section 131 of the constitution as amended clearly says aspirants to the office of president must be educated to the level of school cert while the new INEC form 001 requires applicants to attach copies of relevant credentials. The question now is: did GMB attach his certificate(s)? The answer is No. It's ridiculous for him to attach an affidavit and expect INEC to retrieve his certificates from the military board or the secondary school he attended.

Let's now know who's more powerful between Ameachi(a mere state governor who cannot command ordinary civil defence) or Jonathan, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. PDP should go ahead and use that facility and let's see how far Ameachi can go. I swear, he would run! His brother and comrade in stubboness, Tambu-gone is now a "Speaker" without security and paraphernalia of office. Nonsense!

You're wrong. The amended electoral statute clearly says candidates must attach relevant certificates to the INEC application form as corroborated by Agbakoba and many other legal luminaries. Barcanista, be fair to yourself, if GMB wins the Feb polls (God forbid), his mandate WILL be overturned as a result of violating a major electoral law. His saving grace presently is the inability of INEC to disqualify any candidate or else, he would have been a goner but I can assure you that GMB will not stand the test of time when dragged to a court of competent jurisdiction. He has moral and legal burdens hovering around his neck.

Oby, the first picture (that of GEJ) clearly depicts a well organised rally with a sizeable spectrum of the attendees been women and I am sure that's the category of people who constitutes the largest and sure bet voting population. The 2nd picture involving GMB, also indicating a fairly attended rally, but had majority of attendees being youths most of whom, I can bet with you, do not have PVC! Many of them must have attended the two rallies.
Nonetheless, Oby, the outcome of Feb 14 poll will be very close but I can tell you that GEJ will be the marginal winner and president-elect. How do I mean? GEJ defeated GMB by over 10million votes in 2011 when the latter's party, the CPC had a solitary status ( i.e not a mega party like APC today). So, with unravelling factors such as amalgamation of CPC, ACN and ANPP coupled with enhanced popularity of GMB, it's expected that such a synergy will reduce the 10 millions votes Jonathan had over him in 2011 significantly. However, don't forget in a hurry that notable opposition figures such as Modu Sheriff (Borno), Nuhu Ribadu, Buba Marwa( Adamawa), Shekarau(Kano), Bafarawa(Sokoto), Ikimi( Edo), Gbenga Daniel (Ogun), Mimiko (Ondo), just to mention but few are now in PDP. Their supporters' voting blocks will definitely water down the overwhelming impact of APC's mega status. In a nutshell, I forsee PDP emerging victorious albeit with a lesser figure than the landslide victory of 2011.

That's how people fail common English comprehension. Friend, nobody is coercing you to vote for any party or individual, it's your inalienable right and choice. However, don't mislead Nigerians because in the eyes of the law and INEC records, there's no party called All Progressives Congress Party in Nigeria. For your information, that INEC form and the erroneous information therein can be used against GMB in any law court. OK?

You seemed to be completely offline. If an aid had presumably filled the form for GMB, was he not duty bound to vet and ensure its accuracy before submission to INEC? Did you also say all the information on that form was accurate? What about the portion where he wrote the name of his party as All Progressives Congress Party? Is that also inconsequential?

Friend, don't just go there. Are you suggesting that someone in the calibre of Buhari should sign any document(whether sensitive or not) without vetting its accuracy? Was it the same aid that wrote the name of his party wrongly? If that's the case, it's a failure on his part to have employed the services of an incompetent aide but I can assure you that the form in question was signed by GMB.
