Those who were hitherto obsessed with Buhari's Mr. Clean status are beginning to change their minds no thanks to his WAEC scandal. The Nation (Tinubu's newspaper) can write any rubbish they like, it won't stop an average northerner from voting Jonathan in the coming election. Are all northerners not having WAEC certificates?

I am not sure Dele Momodu should be given a pat in the back for this epistle having tried to effortlessly bring back remniscent of a June 12 event which obviously, is incongruent with Dasuki's advisory clamour for a postponement of the Feb polls. I am one those who firmly beleive that Jonathan will emerge victorious whether a postponement takes place or not. However, should we allow election frenzy to relegate some salient and disturbing concerns to the background? INEC's PVC distribution statistics revealed that over 50% of elegible voters are yet to collect their PVCs and Dele Momodu does not see that as a huge dent on the free and fairness of the polls? Even from the paltry 39 million PVC distributed so far, the largest percentage had gone to the north where Buhari enjoys massive support and with Dele Momodu's much publicised preference for Buhari's emergence as the winner of the poll, is it not curious how he tries to underscore the reason been adduced for the postponement and villifying the messenger? Dele Momodu is a veteran in presidential contest having vied for the presidency at various times, the recent been 2011, the question is, would he have felt confortable with INEC's lopsided and apparent suspicious PVC distribution if his electoral fortune is on the line?

It is very good for the economy to grow. However talk is cheap. We don't want all these paper stuff. Is it too much to ask for tangible things?
Example:
1. Building a system that ensures teachers’ salaries are never delayed at all levels; Primary to tertiary.
2. Building infrastructure. This is the one we feel every day, and the one that gives governments their highest ratings.
3. Solving all these issues with incessant strikes, which is currently at its highest with this government. Government hospitals are on strike, and the judiciary is also on strike.
4. Giving us a clear blue print of where you are heading in the next 4 years. Not when things happen by chance you quickly claim it and when bad happens, you blame it on your enemies and distractors.

Are these too much to ask?

Yes CNN thinks our economy will grow in 2015, which is good. What we now want is what this government is planning to do to drive that growth. Where the heck is their manifesto?

My little knowledge of economics tells me that the major parameters for measuring a growing economy includes human capital and infrastructural development. Sentiment aside, I do not think there's any rational thinking Nigerian who will play down the unrelenting efforts of Jonathan's administration in these regards. For more clarity, the Jonathan's govt has done lot in the following areas:

1.Establishment of new universities most especially in educationally backward northern states and construction of almajiri schools.
2. Construction and rehabilitation of new and existing roads
3. Revamping of the hitherto comatose rail sector for easy transportation of human and farm produce.
4. Rehabilitation and construction of old and new airports.This will obviously enhance cargo transportation.
5. Diversification from our mono-product dependent economy to a less volatile agric and agro related sector.
6. Massive investment in Electricity. This will no doubt catalyse a gigantic leap toward the country's all-around economic growth.
So, with above indices, CNN could not have been wrong in their assessment and ratings. With improved security, I think the sky is the limit for Nigeria's match to a 1st-world country. That's why it's expedient to allow Jonathan consolidate on his transformation programmes.

OP, let's try as much as possible to be factual and unambiguous when disputing any public issue. I am one of those who felt and still feel very strongly that there's something fishy about the statement of result issued by GMB's school, however, part of your own submissions are also fraught with errors;
1. The first specimen is a typical Cambridge Certificate while specimen 2 is an ordinary statement of result. They are two different comparisons.
2. The Statement from the Kastina School does not have AI in Igbo as you alledged. A1 should not be mistaken for slash(/) sign.
3. Other observations on the statement are spot on.
However, as said earlier, I am still not convinced that Buhari's statement is authentic unless authenticated and certified by WAEC and that's what FFK should establish very quickly. Thank you.

According to him, upon his (Buhari) return from exile, he sworn an affidavit to show that his results were missing.

"This happened long ago. He was a former Head of State and i don't think he's going to look for job anywhere where they would ask him to bring his original credentials. He swore an affidavit and he tendered it when he contested for presidency in 2003, 2007, and 2011 respectively. So what is the noise about Buhari's credentials?

"I also graduated from school over 53 years ago and i don't think i can find my WASC certificate. I think Buhari should be pardoned if he cannot produce his certificates."

When reminded that the Electoral Act was amended in 2010, Mohammed responded that Buhari used same affidavit to contest in 2011 without controversy.

He claimed that PDP leaders were jittery because of the support Buhari was getting from Nigerians.

"I think Femi is too fast.Why is he jittery? PDP is afraid because there's no way they could win the presidential election next month." he added.

Sambo spoke at a Chattam House lecture in London, offering the excuse that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has not distributed Permanent Voters Cards across the country as was expected.

SaharaReporters had reported several months ago that President Goodluck Jonathan was reluctant to hold national elections because his popularity had dwindled considerably and he feared losing the election.

In the last few days, as the popularity of General Muhammadu Buhari for the presidency has grown, Mr. Jonathan has spent vast sums of money mobilizing people to call for the postponement of the elections.

INEC spokesperson, Kayode Idowu told SaharaReporters today that INEC was not aware of Col. Dasuki’s suggestion, and that the elections will hold as scheduled.

Several sources connected to the presidency told SaharaReporters that President Jonathan wants the elections to be postponed for at least six months, a period that will enable him to appoint a new INEC chairman of his liking to oversee the elections. Professor Attahiru Jega’s tenure expires in July 2015.

With Jega out of the way, Jonathan would appoint another INEC chairman who would further postponement of the election.

SaharaReporters sources stated that President Jonathan is seriously considering an “Interim Government of National Unity” that would elongate his tenure till 2017. That would mean he spends eight years in power as President, the equivalent of two terms.

In 2011 as he assumed office, his first effort was to call for a new six-year term arrangement, which was shot down by Nigerians. He also recently attempted to smuggle in a new constitution by the back door through the National Conference.

Like OP, like Sahara Reporters. Dasuki just like any other govt officials have right to his opinion and that should not be devilishly taken as the general consensus or official position of Jonathan's govt. And come to think of it, was the reason cited by Dasuki for postponement not germaine? What it's a free and fair election if more than 50% of potential voters are disenfranchised by INEC? It's equally curious for Jonathan to be accused of planning Interim Govt when his govt was the first to raise an alarm over a sinister and clandestine move by OBJ and other disgruntled elements to destabilize the polity and install an interim govt? Why is Sahara Reporters hell bent in bringing Jonathan and his administration down? And for overzealous and dreaming APC goons, whether the elections are held as scheduled or not, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan WILL WIN the presidential election even if it's held tomorrow.

1. They realesed a statement of result: if you return back to your secondary school to collect a statement of result anytime they would never back date it. The would put the date the principal signed it.
2. Its a government school he attended. All secondary school owned by government use the same proto-type for statement of result.No school can use any other than the one produced by the state Ministry of Education.
3. As we know that Neco didn't exist then.The statement of result is a new one obtained and all government schools use the same. The reason why NECO was cancelled there because he did WASSCE.

Also, our great general is quoting Katsina state; please do when was Katsina state created?

For your information, Buhari has just done the following;
1. He lied by swearing under oath and that's perjury which obviously attracts prison sentence.
2. He has confirmed his untrustworthiness and unreliability.
3. No sane Nigerian will ever take him for his words again.
4. He has been fooling the nation by telling lies about his records in the previous times he vied for presidency.
5. This is a confirmation that the man is senile having forgotten what transpired in 1961 when he was been commissioned into the NA.
6. APC, in their usual stock in trade, equally lied that his certificates were carted away by security officials sequel to his detention for coup plot in 1985.
7. Nigeria cannot afford having GMB as her CIC in the next four years. It's a recipe for backwardness.

As an apostle of change and a selfless promoter of the Amiable General Muhammadu Buhari, one of the attributes that attracted me to the General is his calm, sincerity and constistency.

When the issue of the certificate first came up about a month ago, I had expected the APC campaign team to officially write the Army Headquarters requesting the return of Muhammadu Buhari's Credentials that was allegedly ransacked by the IBB regime in 1985 along with his properties. I also expected the APC Presidential Campaign Team to write the United States Army War College, Buhari's Secondary School, WAEC Office and other instutitions that Muhammadu Buhari attended to request for a copy or Certified True Copy of the rspective certificates that they awarded the Daura-born General. Doing so would have laid the matter to rest and save the embarrassment that the General is being subjected to.

It is not too late for the APC to consider these options, if not for anything but to protect the integrity of Muhammadu Buhari. I appeal to our brothers in the Jonathan camp to take it easy with the General and not rush to cast aspersion on his person. I also urge supporters of the General to continue to keep faith in him and be optimistic that the General will triumph at the end of the day. Our task to re-build Nigeria must not weary, whether we support APC/PDP or Buhari/GEJ, we must put Nigeria first.

When the issue of the certificate first came up about a month ago, I had expected the APC campaign team to officially write the Army Headquarters requesting the return of Muhammadu Buhari's Credentials that was allegedly ransacked by the IBB regime in 1985 along with his properties. I also expected the APC Presidential Campaign Team to write the United States Army War College, Buhari's Secondary School, WAEC Office and other instutitions that Muhammadu Buhari attended to request for a copy or Certified True Copy of the rspective certificates that they awarded the Daura-born General. Doing so would have laid the matter to rest and save the embarrassment that the General is being subjected to.

It is not too late for the APC to consider these options, if not for anything but to protect the integrity of Muhammadu Buhari. Honestly, I had tried to suppress the urge to reply the numerous fables you splashed on Nairaland since yesterday but since you don't seem interested in allowing the sleeping dog to rest, it's expedient to beat you to your game. Listen to yourself, did you say GMB's sincerity had attracted him to you? That's a story for dogs and baboons! This certificate mess aside, how can a General who accused his country's govt of killing northerners in the fight against Boko haram but makes a U-turn to accuse the same govt of lacking the wherewithal to fight insurgency(and using same as campaign selling point) be classified as SINCERE? How can someone who advised Muslims to vote for fellow muslims but consistently picks pastors as running mates, be taken as statesman, an apostle of positive change and sincere? Is that not deceit in extremity? How about his vow to entrench the practice of Sharia in Nigeria knowing how secular we are as a nation? Is that a hallmark of sincerity and statesmanship? Do you know how many Nigerians have been sent to the world beyond because of his unguided statements and quest for power? Nigerians want positive change( no sane person should be 100% comfortable with Nigeria's present situation) but is Buhari and APC, with their catalogues of misdemeanors the harbinger of such change? The answer is NO. WHAT IS WORTH DOING AT ALL, IS WORTH DOING WELL... We cannot afford 30 years retrogression to damnation.

I have downloaded all the documents on Premium times, the only thing I could find was a statement from his principal and I quote" I consider that he (Buhari) will pass west African school certificate" He didn't even take the exam talkless of passing. The principal just considered that he will pass.

He was only recommended for commissioning in the NA by his principal, why did he indicate passing and obtaining WASCE in the INEC form? I hate seeing old men in handcuffs, honestly I hate it!

I'm beginning to see people from a different angle now. This Buhari Certifigate has really opened my eyes to hypocrisy and how people can really see things as long as it favors them.
The so called educated elite now says education isn't important anymore as long as it serves their personal greed.
Please my people is the law made differently for different people base on ethnicity or religion. Has Boko Harrassing finally succeeded in enshrining their ideology of education is haram?

That's why I am always very careful when forming opinion about people's views on national issues. Most of the highly celebrated legal luminaries, human right activists, religionists, social commentators and crusaders democracy advocates and bloggers are bunch of clowns and paid agents of political parties. People's antecedents should be dissected carefully before taking them for their words.
