asha 80:Well let them buy or build homes in their state of origin then.Zombies. |
Jenifa_:They are too dumb to realize that. |
Jenifa_:I think it is clear that you have not a slight idea of what goes on in nigeria. Hausas live in the East have have been living there for a very long time. There are thousands of them there. You say they are usually always peaceful, they are not and are usually quite until they gain the numbers to start demanding this.Look at what they do in lagos. And you talk about igbos adjusting to their environment, they do like every other southerner. The problem comes when muslims there try to deny them of their right to worship and try to force islam on them. And you say yorubas in the north aren't complaining about the same thing?Where have you been? They are as well, type it into your search engine.smh. And as far as the article goes, those igbos that were killed in jos were regular citizens, they were not targeted because they were Igbo.Other southerns that live in jos were killed as well. The only reason this particular article got like is because the media wants to make it look like things a falling apart.hence, the mentioning of MASSOB,OPC, and separation of the country. |
There is no way the SW or SE will join.Neither the Igbos is the SS.The ijaws are on their own. |
What baffles me is why would the US even think about coming to "help" fight ND militant when ECOWAS can do so like in other African countries? I don't see or hear about them going to Ivory Coast.I wonder why. Peace bringers indeed.humph |
All of this chaos is a product of a people being held against their will. |
Ileke-IdI:Now you're starting to make sense.kudos. |
Finally! Even the northerners have been doing this for decades now. |
jason123:If Ijaw were to have there own country, they would most likely include the land they gave to the itsekiri ages ago, possibly through their continued genocide against the itsekiri. But the army has pretty much secured the creeks and these ijaw guys can't do anything out of their area. |
thiscounts:@ the bolded, you better pray they won't! |
Ymodulus:why did you deleted ur original post.it was true. |
Wondering why these guys aren't arrested. Also, wondering why ciroma and co. aren't. |
isale_gan2:Of course they are behind the bombing, that is why they are in nigeria so quick. But you know who is to blame for this nonsense, Northerners. If they weren't so power hungry and unfair none of this would be happening so don't blame anybody else. |
alj harem1:First you enter into yoruba business, now igbo?Grow up, u claim kanuri so worry about kanuri business. You run around here all day acting like a child and disrespecting dead people like and imbecile1.Grow up!Cut the nonsense, you should be bigger than that. |
alj harem1:It's 2011 and you're still acting like a child?! Grow up. |
Nice photoshop. |
Jos bombing: Igbo youth movement decries govt inaction Chris Oji, Enugu 02/01/2011 03:19:00 THE Igbo Youth Movement (IYM) has raised an alarm that if the sponsors of the “carefully orchestrated and pre-meditated callous blood baths” in Jos and Maidugiri are not fished out immediately and brought to justice the authorities would be unwittingly making self determination groups like MASSOB and OPC very popular and very attractive options. Addressing a press conference in Enugu at the weekend National President of the IYM Comrade Elliot Uko said, “we all know that the ignorant and ill-fed characters that carry out these atrocities do not have the mental capacity and resources to plan and execute these atrocities. “We remind their hidden sponsors that they are not the only ones tired of one Nigeria; that so many other groups have designed their flags waiting and praying for deliverance from this badly structured Unitary and very corrupt country called Nigeria. “The IYM is pleading with the Federal Government to fish out the hidden sponsors and bring them to early justice. At the last count 16 Igbo’s had been killed and more than 30 seriously wounded; this evil has continued simply because the executors and planners had always gone scot-free. He noted that the timing of the current crisis is designed to test the will and capacity of the presidency, suggesting that from the way the presidency handles this, the evil masterminds will either come out in full force to wreck more havoc or give up their evil campaign of bloodshed. “So the big question is, ‘do we have a weak presidency or do we have a capable presidency we can put our trust in?” The group noted that how the current crisis in Jos and Maidugiri is handled will go a long way in telling if Nigeria is in capable hands at the moment. http://thenationonlineng.net/web3/news/23487.html |
Plateau CAN tackles Sultan over explosions Yusuf Aminu Idegu, Jos 03/01/2011 00:44:00 The youth wing of the Plateau State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has faulted the Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, over the multiple bomb explosions that rocked Jos on Christmas Eve. Its chairman, Pastor Bistu Johnson said: "The reaction of the Sultan on such serious issues affecting human lives is diversionary. While world leaders, the United Nations and African Union (AU) condemned the act of terrorism, the Sultan chose to play the blame game." He added: "We note the attitude and remarks of the Sultan with dismay and an attempt to divert attention from the main issues. It is simply a ploy to shield the terrorists who have openly claimed responsibility for the attack and absolve them of blame. "We are, therefore, calling on the Sultan to apologise to the people of Plateau and Nigerians who lost loved ones in the multiple explosions. We are calling on the Sultan to apologise to the peace loving people of Plateau State who have been receiving Jihadist terror attacks!" http://thenationonlineng.net/web3/news/23587.html |
This is how you can tell if nigeria is really stepping up the sophistication in homeland security,if they arrest and question TB Joshua for this comment that he made. If they never do then you know they are not making any serious efforts towards security. |
Ileke-IdI:Read the national newspaper or better yet turn on a television.I swear you're so clueless. |
Ibime:Who do you see as the best choice? |
Good development. At least Nigeria is admitting their security ain't spit. They call the US after many are killed instead of working with them before hand and learning how to handle such situation and purchase the same investigative materials as the US to carry out reasonable security. |
Ileke-IdI:Wow, is what you said necessary?Grow up.It's new years learn to either get a man or keep it shut because obviously you never know what to let come out of your mouth. |
Old news from December 19,2010. |
Umm, so? |
mikeansy:It seems as if you are going off of the news that salimi posted earlier from Daily Trust News. Daily Trust is a northern news paper and very bias in favor of the north. It is more that likely that the Enugu House of Assembly discredited that statement of endorsement when it was found out.It is likely Daily Trust posted that article before the public discrediting by the House was in papers to make it look as though GJ bullied them into making a "U-Turn". I pointed out a few days ago that only 3 house members were in that meeting with Atiku. This story is a verification that what I said was true. |
Egwu, Obi, Soludo in race for Atiku’s running mate •Enugu House recants support for ex-VP By Emmanuel Nzomiwu, Reporter, Enugu Former Ebonyi State Governor, Sam Ominyi Egwu, ex-Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Chukwuma Soludo and Senator Ben Obi have been named among the leading contenders for the vice presidential slot of the Northern Consensus Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. Others who are also in the picture include House of Representatives Chief Whip, Emeka Ihedioha and former member of House of Representatives, Nze Chidi Duru. Apart from Ihedioha, the other contenders accompanied Atiku to Enugu on Wednesday for a meeting with members of the House of Assembly, who are statutory delegates to primaries of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the platform under which the former vice president wants to actualise his presidential ambition. Atiku told journalists in Enugu that the choice of who runs with him should be based on consensus of the Igbo Political Forum, just the same way the Northern Leaders Political Forum (NLPF), chose him as the consensus candidate. A competent source in the Atiku Campaign Organisation, South-East zone, however told Sunday Independent that the running mate may be chosen from among Egwu, Soludo, Obi, Ihedioha and Duru. The source said that Egwu and Obi may have an age over the others, going by their antecedents and contacts. “You know Egwu was a former governor of Ebonyi for eight years and after that he served as minister for some years. So, he has contacts with former governors and ministers. He has been an active player in PDP. On the other hand, Ben Obi was a former senator. But not only that, Obi ran as Atiku’s running mate when the former vice president was forced out of PDP to run in then Action Congress (AC) in 2007. They worked well then and so he could be retained,” our source stated. Another source said that Soludo may come in as candidate of former vice president Alex Ekwueme who was saddled with the responsibility of producing Atiku’s running mate under the arrangement between Northern and South-East leaders. [b]Meanwhile, members of Enugu State House of Assembly have recanted their support for Atiku, re-stating their commitment to the candidature of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for the 2011 presidential election. According to a statement signed by chairman of House Committee on Information, Marcel Njeze, they said the clarification has become necessary in order to correct the misrepresentation of facts following the campaign visit which the former vice president paid to House members. The statement reads in part: “The attention of Enugu State House of Assembly has been drawn to today’s (Friday) newspaper reports to the effect that the House has endorsed former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for the forthcoming primaries of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). “We want to categorically state that nothing can be farther from the truth. While it is true that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar visited members of the House on Thursday, December 30, 2010 to seek their support, at no time did we endorse him. “For the purposes of clarity, we want to re-state our commitment to the candidature of His Excellency, President Goodluck Jonathan. We are part of the larger Enugu State under PDP leadership of Governor Sullivan Iheanacho Chime which had unanimously endorsed President Jonathan both for the primaries and the general elections. Our position remains constant. “In his response speech to Atiku’s speech, the Speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Eugene Odoh said; ‘we are men of integrity and will not do anything contrary to the wishes of the people’” the members stated. The lawmakers re-emphasised that they would vote in line with the known position of the Government and people of Enugu State who have never hidden their total support for President Jonathan. Daily Trust is a northner newspaper.A lot of the news is usually bias in favor of the north. |
No prayer needed, only action from the "governing" body. |
9ijaMan: marcdunu:Even though we both agree on a need for an address to the nation by GJ through broadcasting, i'd have to disagree with you on what GJ said or didn't day. He said the Jos and Abj bombings where linked;however, he never said they were done by Buko Harem as Aljazeera claimed so there is no false hood yet in the announcement of the presidency about this issue. |
Ma_J_Blige:Disjointed .looks coherentto me lol. In the modern day the president of a country is usually considered the highest man of the country of land. I put land(s) to suggest that there are nations with in nigeria such and Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa,Edo,Gwari, Tiv,Jukun land with in the amalgamated nigeria;however, GJ is the president and Top man of all(under nigeria). |
marcdunu:Is it not YOUR Atiku that said that there was no zoning agreement during OBJ's first term, that the zoning agreement for presidency started in 2003? If that is so,according to him, there was only a 4 year agreement which OBJ did his 4(under the agreement), the north's term ends in 2011 so according to him now is the term for the SE. And it that is the case also that each zone should have 8 years, then under the agreement OBJ should have been allow a third term(maybe thats why he went for it) since under the agreement he only completed 4 years. If they didn't agree with OBJ continuing presidency then candidacy should have been given to another person from the SW to complete the remaining for years(under the agreement) so that the full 8 years(under the agreement) could be completed. |
inlcuding the yoruba and other southerners.
