Another question I have: I do have an experience as a Plants Operations Manager in Nigeria around 2011. But at the moment ,I think the company no longer exists. I think adding this additional 1 year experience to my Estonian work experience it will boo my CRS score. How do I go about adding this work experience if I the CIC can no longer contact the comapny. |
Hello house, Thanks to everyone for the loads of informaion on this thread. I do have a few questions as I am planning to get the PR, but I am really scared about the stories of difficulties in getting professional jobs. I have a BSc in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering in Nigeria, and A masters of Materials and Processes Engineering from Estonia. I am currently working as a Bill of Materials Analyst after my Msc in Estonia. My question is which is the best route to obtain the much-lauded "Canadian experience". I am considering taking power Engineering Diploma from NAIT or SAIT or somewhere in Ontario. Does anyone think this is a good prospect in terms of quickly getting into the industry or will it be better to pursue an MSC and get the Engineering certification. Which route has the highest possibilities/probability of getting into the industry and wihch provinces would you suggest. Experinced answers will be highly appreciated. |
Ishilove:It is easy to blame society for everything, but the actual truth is that you actually let it get to you.How many times have you or I been told that our mates are getting jobs , buildin house , buying cars etc.Even some of them flaunt is so carelessly to our face, have U done anything out of the ordinary just to get rich like your mates ?,NO. Is socieatal pressure there , YES!!!, BUT the difference is the attitude towards it and your personal belives and objectives. |
Getting all emotional over something like this is IRRATIONAL, bro. He asked a question, which is as direct as it can get....... Why not answer it?Unfortunetly, I am not interested in theology. Goodluck to you. |
tigonana:i AM TELLING YOU, It is so annoying. The level of discourse on NL makes me feel sorry for been Nigerian sometimes. This is like the first time I am log in in like months just to respond to this nonsense. Can't people use their brain again. God himself told Israelite to kill pople for whatever reason , he Jesus came and in some context advocated peace , how does that mean you can' t kill if necessary or Jesus is now greater than God. The slowpoke keeps asking for bible verse to support killing, where is the bible that tells you to go to school...don't you go anyways. As if d bible must tell you everything. |
EdCure:I can't imagine I share a country with thinkers like this. So you choose who will be on the road map you're so sure the person will be a Christian. |
VeeBabs:I am not comparing anything, I do not sidelivered with anyone of them. They are all rogues. I hope you know a few Syrians have fled since the war n many of them still have trapped family members. They don't have to remain in Syria to know what's happening. I am a Nigerian residing elsewhere n I am as current on matters in my country as anyone living there. Assad used chemical weapon on his people, he's not Gaddafi or anything. He just came to power desperately trying to preserve the family's legacy. He has made so many unforgivable mistakes. His people doesn't even want him. America would not have been so much interested if he had not gassed his people. Russia presently has killed more civilians than any other group except Assad, that's the undeniable fact. Russia just wants to assert itself as a power broker. If you think they are doing anything because of the Syrians ...think again. The only foothold they have on ME is in Syria n they are sure if the US (which is as terrible ) conquers Assad, Russia will have their already dwindled influence completely obliterated. Those are the facts. I perfectly understand the role of Turkey, Saudi n other golf states which makes the war complicated, yet most people tend to think only the US is the problem. Power n Religion are the problem here. The vacuum created in Iraq n so on made sure the war quickly escalated, but I can assure you no resolutions will be made except Assad steps down some way. His people can't forgive him. |
VeeBabs:I love the way you talk like you know everything, as if whatever half-truths you're spewing is not from another news source. No one knowledgeable enough can take everything you say seriously when U mentioned that Syria was a democracy , Uncle. ASSAD'S family have been in power for 45years and they are minority. Secondly trying to make Russia look like a saint shows lack of knowledge about the issue, but trust Nigerians we'Ll discuss what we have little clues as if na we gaagaan be experts. I live near Russia, I had Turkish , Syrians and thousands of Russians as acquaintances.I have first hand info...you blaming other for believing the news, tell us your sources. |
ephi123:Sorry for asuming you were a bro. But excpet will just want to decieve ourselves our people like to reap from where they didnt sow. Companies may set up some controls but our people will try to scale it..I have worked in both enviroments. Is it difficult to see this. Is it not why Africans are where we are?, cos stealing stylishly is considered notmal. When I said leaving your things anywhere I was reffereing to an industrial settings, companies are careless all the time, but they need to be able to trust their employees nt to exploit them. I am sure you know this truth or maybe you dont. For exmaple when I was young my mother bought a motorcycle for business ,n gave it to a young man who was struggling..just deliver a fraction of what you make. This guy kept lying never delivered his end of d bargain. Before we knew it he already biught 3 bikes of his while wrecking the major business, this scenario is not perculiar its the common trend. Nigerians generaly will wreck you...If you give your own family #10000 to spend on a project for you they will find a way of spending 9k and keep the rest.Few us may be diffeent ,but as a people we lack integrity.QED |
ephi123:You are wrong here mate. JUMIA OR DANGOTE can nt stop Nigerians from pilfering. Our churches and parent should do that. Can you give at least 3thungs Jumia could have done differntly. Assuming you were consulted to manage the situation....what controls will not cost them unnccessary extra millions of naiara because of ur own thieving attitudes. Ibori was sacked for stealing in UK store where he worked , they never neede to put " controls" in place because normal humans dont steal as an hobby. I have worked in almost a dozen compnay at diffent levels here in Europe, they are d least religious people, yet forget anythung anywhere no one will steal it. I feel sorry that U thjnk its normal for people to do anything because thwy can get away with it. I have access key to d compnaies I work for I can steal little things without annyone even noticing...but I would not all d normal human I knkw will not. So it is not normal bro. |
Tolexander:It is funny how Nigerians back up a weak argument with an even more ridiculous logic. Imagine someone claiming Dangote wants to do a cover up just to sack the innocent guys....and the same person implying that Dangote purposely called d press. How can a thinking beign not see that that is contractdiory. If Dangote wanted to sack dem on thrump-up charges they will simply do it secrettly because the press is the easiest way of exposing themselves. And d press likes stuffs like ,they wi fight for the "innocent" staffs just fr attention n more publicity. Thanks bro for using ur own brain. |
ephi123:Why do we like to twist issues instead of dealing with criminals. At least read previous replies to your kind of question. The offences were commited over a period of 5months. And the way we talk as if d people accused are not alive to defend themselves. Do yoy think a company will want to sack me n lie against me tat I commited an offence ,which I never did.....amd I will just satnd there and accept it.You have to realise that dangote group has over 15000 employess so 300 is still very much less than 0.1% . And they will probably be from various locations . Lets say 10 in lagos , 15 in Kaduna etc. I have a friend who works in jumia before coming to Europe he narrated how people will partly destry goods from the store so that the company is forced to sell for cheap( as damaged goods) and they will then buy it.yJust in one jumia office more than half of the staffs were involved in ths stupid act. Only the few that were caught red'handed were sacked. Imagine Jumia beside dangote ....so U will undersatnd it can be very true. Nigerians can wreck your business ...they just dont care |
kenonze:Yes we know , that is not what this is about. Oya tell us one reason this is below per. |
Chiedu4Trump:Be careful the way you jump into conclusions. Do you even read up to the point were it was mentioned that the car had 5 occupants?, just one shot killed the couple. The robbers may not even intend to kill them , but they are on drugs and barely trained in gun handling. The people at the back still alive are also christian, if it was about exterminating Christianity , none of them will be spared to serve as eye witness. They will simply kill everybody and obliterate any form of evidence, and usually armded robbers don't snatch cars if it is not their specialty, the car is difficult to sell and they can be easily traced by it...besides how much do you think that kind of car in the pix can fetch. Basing your conclusion on such things is not good enough. PS: I don't wish dead people RIP, it is pointless. I just wish the family they left behind the fortitude to bear the loss. |
MrPRevailer:Shut up... |
Remilekun101:People like U are just stereotypical....marriage is overrated because and idiot refused to get married?.How does that even add up? .The problem was clear here, she was almsost pressured into a wrong marriage. How on earth is that the fault of d marriage institution. Just like someone forced to study medicine(which happens commonly) and decides to ditch that plan. And someone comes n say something in d line of thats why medicine is overrated..shoroniyen. Millions of people are suceedinng despite numerous failures. What U should have learnt here is the fact that people marry for wrong reasons. Imagine the guy from UK never came , she would have still ended up marrying a man she never loved and their marrige will be "overrated" with issues. Not marrige generally, but the ones contracted by 2 weak n stupid people. And the truth of d matter is ; more marriages are succesful than the failed ones. But they will not make news because its normal. Just like hearing reports of road accidents or bombings, you will.almost assume almost the whole country is dead, but in reality less than 10% are actually dead because of these reasons. But will it make d news that U are still alive today?, but if 10 drunk guy stabs U to death (God forbid) U will make d news ...thats the reality of d media. That is what is overrated. Would it have ever made d news of the marriage or wedding ceremony has held succesfully ...Nooooooooo |
MrPRevailer:You are bragging about belonging to an organisation. If thats what christinaity or Christ is all about then few people needs it. We have worse people who have all the protection n other stuffs U claim n more. Atheist , Ogbonis etc . Preach the gospel minus all this nonesense. Christ ia the gospel and Not one Chosen church. I have seen your members as poor n sick as common animals, one CHOSEN pastor was shot n DIED last week...so keep your advert n PR for d desperate. PS; I am a christian, but I know all churches are faulty. Christ in the only answer. Stop advertising church in replacement of the true gospel. |
MrPRevailer:That sounds like a cult...I will pass!!!! |
[quote author=goldbim post=51348354]As in ehnnnn, the guy looks scruffy and unkempt even with his so called wealth!!money no fit am ..[/qluote]That's the main problem, what makes you and others assume he's wealthy. Just because he's a bit popular (not even that popular if not for his ex). He's just a producer of Yoruba film, not even among top 10....so why does evwry1 keep saying despite his wealth bla bla. That is why some of them try to keep apearnce of wealth. One reason he decided to steal, the guy that lives on ypur streeth is probably wealthier than this guy. I know many of the so called producers. They arw no wjere near reach, a lot are even barely comfortable. |
dustmalik:If you read past the image, you'd see where it os clearly mentioned that she has a disorder. Try google it, it's a mental disorder...that's how to add Knowledge. In Nigeria we think you have to tear your clothes and waka naked before you are reffered to as mentally unstable |
sylvar02:What is the meaning fo what you juat said?.... |
BlackYansh:MAKE your own post aand add Toyota. |
Edwinmason:But you are the ignorant one here sir. |
Sohot:My glucose level is perfect, Kidney,Liver everything perfect....all these tests were done here in Europe. But even here they told me all is fine, It just makes me feel so uncomfortable. |
Young03:Which marriage? |
eye4eye:Please, I would really like to know if you still thinkeen this still works. I'm having problema with PE and ED . It just comes and could be there for months.I am doing everything right .I just don't know what's wrong. ...and my urination is quite abnormal. I could urinate 50tines a day |
In my first year in FUTA during graduation they presented a guy with the most improved student award. He started from 0.84 and graduated with a 2:1.....good luck. |
wunmi590:Can you tell me 1 way the killing could be just? ![]() |
greenhulk:I find it funny ,, when we just rush to say "only in Nigeria"...bla bla bla. Have you checked online lately to see for yourself?, everywhere in the world , this phone is been bashed and people purchasing it are been ridiculed, So it is not limited to Nigeria, human begins generally loves to judge others. No phone has generated so much ridicule as this....just google it.We have established news channels , websites etc making memes all over. |
Phizzlephizz:Well, if you have to save for months to buy a phone, then you're overspending. 350k and buys a phone for 500k?, that's like at least 3 months savings , except you have no responsibilities or financial obligations at all. And that is where the problem lies, this is probably the latest and among the most expensive "normal phones", I think something is wrong when someone who earns 350k is trying to use the same phone or wear the same clothes someone earning 2M would also use....its overreaching your limits. That's why some never get past their current financial status. I live in Europe , I can just take part of my 1month salary n purchase, but I wouldn't do that (this is not to say it is wrong, that's just me). Plus, the oyinbo Niaja people are copying rarely buy anything in this price range in cash, 90% of them will buy on credit and pay in installments for maybe 24 months. Probably around 40euro per month (something a 16 ear old kid can work for in half a day). Yet we want to copy them with 350k salary in a country where U spend money on every frivolous things. |

). You needn't use arrogance as butter to eat your misconceptions and ignorance. Don't be a baby, my friend.
