It is childish to think that BH actually mentioned their sponsors verbatim. They must have given subtle hints, which only an idioot will not decode. So when I see these PDP apologists trying to discredit the Australian employed by GEJ, I can only smh. If during the discussions, BH tell the guy that they do not bother about military cracking down on them because they trust the person in charge of Army....that is a hint They can drop another hint the next time...something like 'We spoke to the COAS who reassured us of no cracking down on us' And if one looks at events during Ihejerika, it is very clear that things were not right. The attacks by BH reduced, while Military also went to sleep, thus allowing the bastards to grow to monsters. |
Did you take permission from Oga at the top before using his boys? Nice pix though.. |
Why castigate Sahara reporters for telling us the state of the nation? I will rather hear the bad news so we know our situation than listen to fake good news that allows for more deceit and corruption. |
Coming from Vanguard newspaper, I didnt expect less. |
BTW...we keep hearing of expected military hardwares being ordered. Are we sure these ogas at the top have not spent the money for this contract? By the time the 'gigantic hardwares' arrive, BH will be pushing from Borno to Gombe state. |
I have watched 2 videos of BH operations. Killing 45 of them is like tickling them. While I give credit to the NA for a great job, I still do not believe they are in control of Bama. It is really depressing and heart breaking. Nigerian army is now on the backfoot, going defensive rather than being in control. We have the number, the weapons, and the goodwill. Gone are the days of fighting ghosts...Now BH have shown their faces and attack in groups. This time, only problem is that our military commanders seem to be cowering and clueless so far. I think the war is coming to an end soon though. A good momemtum for BH is like a sweet poison. They will be buoyed by recent victories and continue to push forward till they meet their waterloo. Same confidence that Hitler had which made him make miscalculations when he was few kilometers from capturing Moscow. I believe BH will march on to Maiduguri before the end of this month, and they will most likely capture Maiduguri (scary thoughts!). However, this will also allow an evolution of some highly patriotic, gallant soldiers (like the 2 Marine Commandos of Benjamin Adekunle). These few, but very brave and rugged soldiers will be the ones to deal decisively with BH. For now, NA will suffer more defeats till the command structure is broken down. Only then can intelligent army personnel take over and refresh their strategies. |
Bama MUST NOT go to Boko Haram. That is the last frontline before a whole state is captured. Please GEJ, I take God beg you, send in the best of the army and push these bastards back. If Bama falls, 3 states (Borno, Yobe, and Adamawa) will fall within a month. BH is seizing the initiative. Please GEJ do something. |
I think there are grounds to believe that BH were being sponsored by Ihejirika. It can be argued that the bulk of BH weapons were acquired during Ihejerika's tenure as COAS. Moreover, the response from Iheajirika to El'Rufai's reechoing of the allegations speaks volume. He (Ihejerica) was incoherent and aggresive. These are signs of someone on the back foot. I mean look at the number of years you lots have been accusing Buhari and APC of funding BH, yet they reply you calmly and request for proofs or prosecution. Ihejirika's response seemed to me like he was caught offguard and immediately went defensive. |
Kudos to Nigerian Army if this is true. Now please consolidate and advance. Push these baggas into Cameroon. |
Because he has failed in his first responsibility of securing lives and properties of Nigerians. Any other achievement is secondary. Ending Boko Haram will be his greatest achievement. |
A clash is an encounter between 2 or more parties. However, when I say something, which disagrees with what another person independently say, does that mean we're clashing? Vanguard is trying too hard to justify its portion of the TAN money |
The only place where PDP will win in any elections is in the SE and SS, other places are no go areas |
So the person who ordered it did not bother to check? A government of no checks, no balances. DO you just pay for goods without receiving them? |
At this moment, I am most ashamed of the current NANS leadership. Gbadebo has sunk to an all time low and has soiled the position of NANS president. Never has NANS been so disillusioned and lacking focus. Is it not shameful that after months of ASUU strike, NANS is going out of its way to endorse an administration that has killed innocent students in protests. Abuja – The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) on Thursday endorsed President Goodluck Jonathan to run for a second term in office. The President of NANS, Mr Yinka Gbadebo, who led the National Executive members of the association on a courtesy visit to the First Lady, Dame Patience Faka Jonathan, expressed their support at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The delegation, which passed a vote of confidence on Jonathan, also presented a certificate of credence to Dame Jonathan for her pursuit of peace and empowerment of women and the youth. “As pragmatic and visionary Nigerians, we can see through the veil of distraction and boldly applaud the Goodluck administration for infrastructural and social transformation. “We have unflinchingly determined to put all political detractors and evil geniuses to shame in 2015 by giving Mr President the singular and total support of all Nigerian students. “As a united association, all students have been mandated to cast their votes for President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to emerge victorious and continue the good works of transformation,’’ he said. Gbadebo noted that in order to actualise this, NANS had floated the Nigerian Students Transformation Vanguard to champion this cause. The NANS president commended Jonathan for his support to Nigerian students and youths by appointing six past NANS leaders in his administration. According to him, the past leaders included the Ministers of Information and Education, Mr Labaran Maku and Alhaji Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, respectively. Others are the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Niger Delta Affairs, Mr Kingsley Kuku, and Senior Special Assistant to the President on Students and Youth matters, Mr Jude Imagwe. Responding, Dame Jonathan while expressing her love and support for NANS, commended its leadership for consistent constructive engagement on national issues. “Especially at this time when some Nigerians take advantage of every situation without concern for national security. “This really shows that our youths are coming of age and that they can be relied upon in the task of nation building. “Today, our youths in the tertiary institutions are hard-working and are hopeful of a better future for this country, in spite of our challenges,’’ the first lady said. She urged them to continue in their constructive engagements on national issues and lend voices to positive moves in the interest of the nation. “Your organisation should continue to champion the cause of peace in our nation as no nation progresses in an atmosphere of insecurity. “As students, you cannot stay in school if there is no peace. Therefore do not allow anyone to use you as agents of destabilisation. “You must resist the temptation of being used by politicians as thugs during elections. “You should learn to be patriotic and not be a willing tool in the hands of those bent of sowing seeds of discord among our people,’’ she charged them. She said “as mothers, we are praying for you because we love you, you are our future, our hope. You must therefore remember the children of whom you are and face your studies squarely’’. Systematic sales of Nigeria on the way. Imagine one day we have a very good president who starts to make policies that benefit Nigerians. If it is against the wish of the Americans, they sanction us (like they did to Russia). So what sanction? Block our national ID card....And lets say by that time, banks have all been linked to 'national ID''mastercard'. Means a period of chaos. We wont be able to access our money, our lives and data will be under a button for the yanks to press. Good one GEJ. You do well my brother from Otuoke. |
You're probably not good enough for even a 2:1 irrespective of the course you take. 1st years are usually very easy while the remaining years are designed to be a step up intellectually. You dont seem to have made the big step up, you do not seem to realise there is a need for step up yet. You did not really drop 'drastically', you only failed to step up dramatically, hence you lagging behind. |
People underestimate the level of corruption of our leaders. That money quoted will be shared within a few weeks. Digitalisation is a pipedream in such a corruption ridden land. |
Up next...Blessing vs the world. |
A very good thread has been turned sour by some hate mongers who now focus on her religion. Shame on all of you idiiots. |
Pepper don rest for directors in ministry of health. Plus some junior officers who soji too. 1.9Billion going....going....gone! |
Enjoy your stay...Take time to actually interact with people. Talk to people on taxis, in the market, etc. You will learn a lot from them. We have a unique way of thinking that you may find interesting. Also, eat a lot of naija food. Take Amala, Eba, Fufu, egusi, ewedu, okra, etc. Your life will not remain the same. |
vacker: june 6 next year? National day. Of course.Nigerian Independence. October 1st. There'll be a fashion show too. Nigerian clothes with Scandic designs. |
vacker: Jag är bra.nej! can inte språk Svenska. Still picking it up little by little. The goal is to be able to teach in Swedish in the next 3 years or so. Will you be back in time for the Independence day thing in Stockholm? |
vacker: I am half Nigerian and i have decided to visit Nigeria for the first time, born in Sweden.Hej! Everywhere in Nigeria is fun. Everything you see will be different. When are you going back to Sweden? |
480!!! WOW! Well, when they wont get salary on time, have to beg for bullets, and not assured of their family welfare in case they die in action, I dont blame them. But 480 is an alarmingly high number. The president is not even bothered. He is setting a very very very disturbing precedence here in Nigeria. Never have we had so many deserters. It is a shame that in a time of war, our leaders are weakening our army. I fear that by the time GEJ hands over (hopefully next year), he may not have more than 32 states to hand over. Systematic disintegration of Nigeria is going on under a president that is happy to weaken the army to prevent a coup d'etat rather than equip the army to maintain territorial integrity of the country. |
Another depressing night for me. Cannot sleep after watching Boko Haram overrun Gwoza. The video made something clear...Nigerian government is not ready to end BH. Rather, I think BH is now a means of making money by GEJ. Our soldiers cannot cope with these BH guys with the weaponery we are using. The video makes it very clear. We are not having the upper hand in terms of firepower. While almost a quater of our budget is going directly to fight BH, we are getting the reverse result. Is it not time we stop funding this military offensive? I believe that 99% of the money budgeted to fight BH is being used by GEJ for re-election. TAN is giving 10k per person, while our soldiers are dieing in numbers like chickens everyday. For the sake of our future, we all need to speak up now. It is only a matter of time before these bandits get to Abuja and start spreading all over the country. Moreso, they will be able to recruit more men and even deserters from the army will join them. |
And their brothers are suffering in Gaza. May Allah deliver this ummah. Money miss road arabs. |
Like I always say, our president does not know what is going on. He seems to be OK as long as he's safe. He always boasts of 'pushing Boko Haram to the fringes'. Now, it is clear Boko Haram only retreated. I sincerely feel that the whole of Borno state will go to Boko Haram once those militants overun Giwa barracks again. They tested the water in their previous attempt and exposed our military flaws. Now with deserters and extremely corrupt generals, and a non-chalant president, Boko haram will seem unstoppable. Sad Sad Sad for Nigeria to have such a weakling as president. Deploying Soldiers to harrass people of Osun who cause no trouble, but ballsless to deploy the right things against Boko haram |
Since our president has given up on Boko Haram, the militants seem to be waxing stronger, and are quite strategic. Having captured several towns in Borno South, and encroaching into Adamawa, they seem to be ready and bold enough to move out of Sambisa forest and move into towns! Boko Haram towns! Anxiety as Boko Haram relocates from Sambisa Forest Posted by: Yusuf Alli, Managing Editor, Northern Operation in Featured, News 3 hours ago •Moves to capture Southern Borno BOKO Haram is on the move from its Sambisa fortress in Borno State. It is heading towards Southern Borno with several towns and villages already seized by its insurgents. Its members, and possibly captives, are dispersed in such places . Gwoza is the most prominent of the towns thus seized. A top security source described the situation last night as scary. The source said the ‘security situation’ in Gwoza and some other parts of the state was worsening. Investigation by our correspondent revealed that the insurgents, who were encouraged by their recent capture of Gwoza and surrounding villages, have been advancing fast to the southern part of the state. Towns like Askira/ Uba, Bayo, Biu, Chibok, Damboa, Shani, Kusar, Kwayu and Hawul are their immediate targets. “The insurgents have been rapidly taking over towns and villages in Southern Borno which were hitherto safe from terror attacks.”Unless urgent action is taken by the federal government, they might be in total control of the southern part,” the source said. “The situation is getting worse because the military, the police and other security agencies have no access to towns and villages overrun by the insurgents. “Only a comprehensive military campaign can save the entire Borno State from falling into the hands of the insurgents.” But a military source said: “There is no way the insurgents can take over Borno. We will reclaim anywhere they may be temporarily rampaging. “We will not unfold our plans but we will surely liberate these areas.” Sambisa Forest has been the focus of intense covert surveillance by the military, and the foreign experts sent by the United States of America (USA) and other western nations to assist in locating the over 200 school girls abducted in the April 14 attack by Boko Haram elements on the Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State. It is believed that the girls were taken to the forest which has also served as the training camp of the sect. Over four months after their abduction, the girls are yet to be located. The relocation of the insurgents from forest has raised anxiety about the fate of the girls. The federal government has repeatedly said that patience is crucial in rescuing the girls as using force will endanger their lives. The Mail of London reported on Wednesday that the Royal Air Force was sending three fighter jets to help in locating the girls. The RAF Tornado GR4s equipped with surveillance facilities, according to the newspaper, will undertake “reconnaissance missions” over the Sambisa Forest where the girls are believed to be held. Besides, the jets are expected to help the Nigerian authorities in tracking the movements of the insurgents. The mission is, however, dependent on one of Nigeria’s neighbours allowing Britain the use of its runway.
