This is not looking good at all.
Although the police wont let it happen, but seriously Woolwich is not a place for EDL.

karl max: according to sky news "it was a politically motivated islamist terror attacK" the guy was screaming allahu akbah
STILL, the government, and importantly BBC, have refused to call it a Muslim attack. Muslim Council of Britain has already condemned it unreservedly. It is sickening how no one cared to listen to what the murderer said on video, rather focussing on what his religion is likely to be.

Foreign Affairs › British Soldier Beheaded In Woolwich, London by olapluto(op): 5:40pm On May 22, 2013
I just got this news from my friends who live in Woolwich. A serving British soldier was beheaded and hacked down like meat by two men. They then dumped his body on the street. He was killed near the army barracks in Woolwich. According to Evening Standard, the men were later shot by military police. This is so unreal!

'We swear by almighty Allah we will never stop fighting you': What man holding bloody cleaver said after 'hacking soldier in Help For Heroes T-shirt to death just yards from Woolwich barracks'

An eyewitness who watched a man brutally killed with a machete-style knife and dumped in a street tonight dramatically revealed how he watched the two attackers behave like 'crazed animals'.

The man, known only as James, said he and his partner saw two black men attack a young man aged around 20 in a Help for Heroes T-shirt in Woolwich, south-east London, like he was ‘a piece of meat’.Fighting back tears, he told LBC Radio: ‘They were hacking at this poor guy, literally. They were chopping him, cutting him. These two guys were crazed. They were just animals.

'They dragged him from the pavement, dumped his body in the middle of the road and left (it) there.’He said that after the ‘horrendous’ attack, the two men, in their 20s, stood around, waving knives and a gun, even asking people nearby to take pictures of them ‘as if they wanted to be on TV’.

‘They were oblivious to anything, they were more worried about having their photo taken, running up and down the road,’ he said. ‘They had no intention of running off or leaving or anything.‘In my opinion, they were waiting for the police to arrive to be shot by the police. That's the only thing I can think. It's horrendous what they were doing to that guy.’
Some ‘brave’ women tried to shield the man on the ground from them, he added. The witness also said that it was 20 minutes before armed police arrived at the scene.‘When the armed police came flying around the corner, the man with the beanie hat, the tall guy, he charged at the police vehicle,’ he said. ‘A shot was fired by the other guy with the gun.'

The comments by the witness came after the man was killed and two others were taken to hospital with gunshot wounds today following a ‘serious incident’ understood to involve a serving soldier.'They were just animals. They dragged him from the pavement, dumped his body in the middle of the road and left the body there'
James, eyewitness

Some witnesses described seeing a ‘beheading’ while another described seeing a man wearing a Help for Heroes T-shirt being attacked with a machete-style knife and dumped in a street.Woolwich and Greenwich MP Nick Raynsford said it was his understanding that one person, a serving soldier, was dead and his two alleged killers were taken to hospital.

London Ambulance Service confirmed a man was found dead at the scene, while two other men were taken to hospital, one of them in a serious condition.London Air Ambulance confirmed that one patient was airlifted from the scene, while another was taken away by road ambulance.

Delafruita: you do realise the fact that there are different types of hijabs.when you make hijabs acceptable, what stops some from covering their entire body?

banning hijab isnt overzealous intolerance, its simply enforcing an approved code of dressing for school kids.fortunately there are islamic schools for those who insist their kids must wear hijabs.but if you must send them to government schools,no hijabs.students in government schools are not even allowed to plait their hair.perhaps you will call that overzealous intolerance to sango and osun worshippers who are required to have massive hairdos
Yes there could be different 'types' of ijab. We can work on that. Banning Ijab is what I object to. Nothing stops Lagos government from approving the ijab 'length' and type.

Ride on GEJ. Loot our treasury through security votes, Anenih in NPA, and other means you know best. Loot, loot loot. You dont need to visit SE to campaign because you have a gullible base there. But I promise you, Nigerians will reject you if you do not do something tangible before 2014 ends. Now you have shoes, no zoning palava, no fraudulent whipping of ethnic sentiments.
Except you campaign with your achievements, the reasonable ones will not vote for you. You can add Adeonibata to your name tomorrow, I wont vote for you.
Islam › Re: Lagos Did Not Ban Hijab In Public Schools by olapluto(m): 11:55pm On May 20, 2013
It wasn't a logical decision in the first instance. Hijab is allowed in most advanced western countries. Teachers allow it and respect those who wear it. I live in UK and there is no hijab ban. Jewish kids wear their little caps to school if they like. Sikhs wear their turban to school, everyone allows it. A Sikh policeman wears his turban anyday anytime anywhere, even if he's inside a church to guard the Queen.
Only in my dear country, Nigeria, do we have such overzealous intolerance. A Muslim girl's hijab is not hindering anybody. Neither is a headscarf or BERET by Christian students. I went to a christian secondary school where berets were part of the uniform. Only those in JSS1 complied, the rest started wearing bandana, and all sorts of scarfs. I think Nigerian governments should let hijab be. It harms no one except the religious fanatics and ethnocentric wannabes.

olumyde: And have you heard of muslims taking up arms immediately after friday prayers? Gosh! Its like taking up arms after a sunday service. Its impossible. I've not heard it. Something is wrong in the foundation that can not be solved by merely saying islam is a religion of peace on the surface. The solution to that foundational problem is accepting the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Olumide omo Jesu. All your posts show tell a story about you. Either you're permanently blocked to superior reasoning or just lack exposure. You need to travel round the world, meet Muslims and learn how Muslims live. You sitting in your sitting room listening to news is affecting your reasoning. I understand that the frustrating living conditions in Nigeria helps breed reasonings like yours, but it will help you to get more exposure. Go out there and move with Muslims, read the Quran and other Islamic texts. Google is also there. Dont read about Islam from a Christian website, else you will be further brainwashed.

They have the same coach, and the coach always said Okagbare is better than Jeter. In her first race of the season, Blessing Okagbare has just run 11.00 flat to come 2nd in the diamond league behind the Jamaican Fraser-pryce.
As with the olympics final, Blessing left the blocks very slowly, but came through powerfully to go past Jeter.

shalmen: a well written text, though not a muslim. question remains
. . . why and how do the misguided among u believe the contrary?
is the koran so porous in translation that a whole lot of muslims
across the southern sahel spreading across eight countries, get inspired by
hate and violence to unlease mayhem on unsuspecting christians be wrong?
with experiences in borno, 9/11, fulani herdsmen incurssions be termed as misguided muslims?
what were the prophet mohammed's anticedents like? didn't he engage
in warfare as the agressor? are there not plenty of surahs in the koran
that can be termed hate preaching aimed at the jews?
i'm sorry sir, u seem to be the misguided one. people like you
are actually peaceful but forgive me when i say islam encourages violence.
There's an Islam you want to potray, there's an Islam that majority of Muslims are in. I realised this a long time ago. Maybe because I have access to independent information. Who are you to proclaim someone is misguided?? A Muslim comes here and puts forward an intelligent and subtle message. You do not like that and are not comfortable with that. If he had come with ' cut their heads, slay their necks' you probably would have been jumping up and down on your seats to say yeah this is the Islam you want.
I'm sorry to disappoint you, over 90% of Muslims are peaceful. The Quran abhors violence and aggression ( I dont expect you to believe because you've been programmed)

Like someone said earlier, everyone has a right to believe whatever they want to believe. The person who started this thread wanted to enlighten with evidence. A lot of people have been manipulated by the news they read so much. So much so that they start to become blind to what they see daily.
I am Muslim, and proud to be one. I have met many Muslims, some practice, some dont. Some are educated, some are not. As such, no single description can be used to blanket all Muslims. Some say Yoruba Muslims are this and that. I have met very very nice and honest Hausa Muslims. In fact, I feel so much at ease with the Hausa Muslims I deal with. For example, I have done transactions in millions with a Hausa Muslim based on his words.
The fact that Boko Haram have turned out the way they are doesnt mean we should blanket the whole Hausa. They have their shortcomings as a people. They are less enlightened in some areas, and mostly are very emotional. Except we respect each other, we cannot effectively worship our God.

I was getting excited, maybe my salary is to be increased, or I was to be sent to a conference. My eyes almost bulging as he opened the envelope....and there was the picture of OBJ!
