The Agric section of NL is usually bustling with brilliant ideas from small and big time farmers and prospective farmers. Most people seem to always have export as an end goal, or at least industrial production. Now, Tomato processing and manufacture has come to our doors. Apparently, the companies are buying off the tomatoes and there is nothing left for us the masses. Does this mean that we cannot produce enough for our own use? that we now import from Cameroun? Tomato is one of the easiest things to farm. In my compound, we have tomatoes growing near where we pour pepper wastes. Now, with such an easy avenue to get tomatoes, every Jacks should be able to at least produce enough tomatoes to feed his or her family, except you're renting. I guess another problem is the preservation of tomatoes, hence where the companies become useful. How can we solve the tomato problem immediately? Or at least within few months? Any advice on seeds, land types, farming?
Ngozi123: Do you have proof of this? I'm not doubting that some maids are treated harshly but all of the maids in my family have been treated as one of the children, and this is spanning across different generations.
Only the maid can attest to how she's been treated. To some ogas and madams, simply giving the maid one meal a day is supposed to be luxury. To some, the maid eating 3 square meals means they have the right to send her any errands they like, at any time of the night, no matter the risk.
Mr. Arinze Ezeh, your mums prayers and God's mercy has landed on you. In 20 years, you will be out, much better than death by firing squad. If you still have some money, send to your mum and pray for her. Narrow escape.
Nkem4040: Many of these kids are raised far better than Yorubaa children as most of you are born throw-way/unplanned, in other words bastards, and raised by single mothers. Usually malnourished and unkempt. Swear to God you are not a bastard...didn't only your mother raise you? Do you know your real father... not the strange man living with your mother? Anumanu
Nkem its too early in the week to display such attitude. God bless you and your mother. I wasnt raised to use parents in abusive arguments.
Nkem4040: I know you are yoruba, so I'll help you. Igbos as Zaki said help to raise children that aren't theirs. Most...80% of Igbo family tend to adopt young girls and boys from the village, I'm talking about mostly age 5-15 yrs old, they raise these kids same way as they raise their own children...same school, clothing, room, e.t.c. Many instances you cannot differentiate by appearance that these kids are not their blood children as they are treated very well. They get them at young age so that they can mold, treat and assimilate them with their children. So that girl you see is a product of this Igbo wonderful assistance program...she not necessarily a maid as the media are reporting. Fellow Igbos know whats-up!
Not entirely. In fact, it is rare. What most people (Igbos especially) do is gross child abuse. Taking cheap maids pretending to help them, whereas depriving them of their childhood. This is the same logic behind baby factories and human trafficking.
2 things: 1. Except Cha Cha is 38 years or above, then Rochas just openly confessed to child abuse. 2. Cha Cha's husband is suspecting Rochas. From the first pix, the husband dey look at Rochas like: 'after you don take her innocence and enjoy the freshness, you come give me chaffs and even no let me enjoy our wedding day'.
Nbote: Some of U are jus pathetic with ur excuses and hopeless comparisons.. Dat agreement was reached in 2010 and clearly from the report they were both jointly supposed to "source" for funds by way of credits and financing from the Chinese govt.. Show me anywhere it is mentioned d govt awarded a contract at a sum... Pricks.. D clear facts dat u kip clawing at straws should b enof to show ur desperate attempts to divert attention always.
So you are confirming that GEJ was trolling the nation when he signed the deal.
Achuwa1: DEAL & AGREEMENT goes together,,,the giver might sign to protect the interest of its citizenry business in the receivers country.its international politics. For instance, could u imagine tht pmb went to qatar & signed a bilateral agreement with qatar for qatar air to be our national carrier when he fully knows tht govt cant afford the luxury of qatar air tht is very expensive. thts bilateral agreement pmb signed is not gonna benefit the masses so i see tht as an illiterates actions. pmb also went to sign a loan agreement with UAE tht the conditions of the loan wasnt favourable to Nigeria in anyway & even our petty minister of finance & minister of budget or so warned him abt signing such loans coz of the conditions attached to it but he didnt listen coz he HAS NO INTELECTUAL CAPABILITY of understanding how international politics works.
Achuwa1: read & understand before u come here to spill trash. the heading says 'DEAL',,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, DEAL doesnt mean it will come to pass & the giver might hurrily sign to protect the interest of business & citizenry in the benefactors country & play politics with it inwhich his initial intention was never to build.its all abt international politics. so stop looking for cheap blackmail to discredit ppl.
Im quoting you because I dont want you to edit this nonsense you've written. Noted.
One by one, we will unravel the many projects and legacies of GEJ. I wait for his goons to tell us where the refineries are located, or the state of work there. Most of them are shouting Buhari no fuel, Buhari petrol 145 naira, whereas GEJ built 3 ghost refineries.
Nigeria and China sign $23bn deal for three refineries
Nigeria's state-run oil firm NNPC and China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) have signed a $23bn (£16bn; 18bn euros) deal. The two will jointly seek financing and credits from Chinese authorities and banks to build three refineries and a fuel complex in Nigeria. The project would add 750,000 barrels per day of extra refining capacity. NNPC hopes the construction of new refineries will stem the flood of imported refined products into Nigeria. 'Deepen relationships' Nigeria is the world's 12th-largest oil producer and the eighth-largest oil exporter. But the country imports roughly 85% of its fuel needs because of the disrepair and mismanagement of its four state-owned refineries. "We are about to deepen the existing technical and commercial relationships between China and Nigeria through the signing of a memorandum of understanding," said Shehu Ladan, head of NNPC. The three refineries will be built in Bayelsa, Kogi and Lagos states, while a location has to be confirmed for the petrochemicals complex. The Nigerian government has said that foreign companies must invest in developing Nigeria's infrastructure and economy first, before they can benefit from its oil and gas exports. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/10116945?SThisFB This is exactly 6 years and 7 days since the deal was signed. Where are the 3 refineries? Or was GEJ just trolling us as usual.
KolaShangOne: This last one, I was coming from the mall at Sango, drove through General gas and was heading to a house just before Dizenghoff. I got to the gate of the house I was going to, parked and as I was stepping out, the boys came on a bike and the whole shebang happened around 8pm.
There are also guys that touch the wall of your house and everyone sleeps off. Confirmed Jazz.
We also have car snatches and the likes.
Sanyo, General gas, and even up to Bashorun area are all known crime areas. It has been like that for years. I had many land offers to build in Akaran, and I declined due to that. You will not find robbery in areas like Mokola, Eleyele, Apete, Sango, U.I, Even Ojoo areas. These places are close to the Army and Police HQs. By and large, I can vouch for IB anyday anytime. Ibadan is a cheap place to live, that doesnt mean there is poverty. A person earning 50k in Ibadan may have more that one earning 150k in Lag. Only in Ibadan can you still enter taxi for 20 naira, even Ojoo to Dugbe, you can get for 100 naira, something you will nearly pay 500 naira for in Lagos over same distance.
anikkyshaya: Hello my brothers and uncle, thanks to everyone that have contributed to this thread one way or the others if u don't mind, I would like to enroll under dis house, for the past 4 weeks have been following this thread, am always scared to type because of my dramatica error of my grammar but today I say within my self that I most ! there's so much fun in the house, have learned so much from different areas from this group. Anikishaya
The first thing I admire about you is the name Anikishaya...like one of those ladies that Kwam 1 always praise.
KolaShangOne: My Oga, I have been lowkey. Na so so up n down
Ibadan is the headquarters of petty thieves, burglars in the whole of Nigeria. You will come back home to meet your TV, sound system and even furniture, gone. Its not funny at all.
This is a rather frivolous generalisation. Ibadan is big. Some streets may have petty thieves, but Ibadan is still very very safe. Which area are you talking about.
AZUH: Olapluto this is not funny again . Do you really think if they remove this front pillers the house will collapse ? Like if you insult me that I don't have a car I wouldn't take it as anything because you don't know me . Why are you angry because I said you don't live in this kind of house ? Maybe it's true . Don't insult anyone . Be happy having everyone around .
I dont know who you are I dont know what you want If it is sympathy, I do not have What I have is a set of skills Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you If you demolish that section, that will be the end If you dont.. I will look for you I will find you And I will put you in handcuffs
Why do we have child rights act and no laws to force polio vaccination on children? A jehovah witness couple was jailed for refusing blood transfusion to their dying baby. By rejecting polio, and blocking government access to their area, the Shiites have once again showed total disdain for constituted authorities.
Nigerians are very wicked sha. You still have the guts to put pictures of your lollipop stick pillar here. My friend go and demolish that nonsense and start from a decent point. I suggest the mods should start banning AZUH and the pix of his coffin, before some loonies start copying that pillar style as a 'cost saving measure'
AZUH: @ agarawu this house isn't bad . I don't think you even have this kind of house in your street unless you live in Lekki which I know you can't afford . Rape rape!!! How can I rape man Oga? I am not a gay
I just cannot wrap my head round this house. Who the heck did those pillars?? My grandma has a slang 'lebe eko, lebe oole', i.e flat pap, flat moimoi. AZUH, if I give that your pillar a good kick, it will shed plenty . If I know the location of this house, I dont mind contacting relevant government agencies to intervene and prevent future death.
GreenNegro: If am not making mistake, That's Qunut supplication not a destruction prayer...
Thank you! The person running commentary on the video is as fraudulent as it gets. Those who do not understand the prayers are majorly the ones commenting.
If it were to be me, the Lastma guy would have bloodied nose for sure. I would have assaulted him because he crossed his boundaries the moment he entered my car.
Advantages of marrying an Hausa lady. She will translate all for me when I get home. Bidexii get some real time combat vids now. I know you have some vids...
Shia or not, Zakzaky or not, every citizen of Nigeria deserves fair hearing in courts. No one should deny Zakzaky such. My only worry about Zakzaky is that he and his adherrents seem to have forgotten that they are Nigerian citizens, and not Iranians.
