True.

I don't think I'll be watching el classico too. We'll be decimated.
El classico is not the problem, it's a league game and at most a 2 or 3:0 victory for Madrid won't hurt like getting really decimated in the UCL against a solid team like Bayern, City or even PSG.

Are you for real?!!!?
First half was a sad display...Against a better team, it would have been at least 3:0 down.
I watch all Barca games especially late night games.
Prior to Depays equalizer, they were poor.
Koeman needs to leave that's all!!!

PS; Araujo scored a super goal that was WRONGLY ruled out for a foul by Braithwaite

Braithwaite missed a VERY big chance too.
so may be 2:3 down lol!!

I honestly can't agree any less.
Another thing to note here is that most of these guys who defend Koeman are not seeing the games, I bet they don't watch Barca, they just go to live score, check possession stats and be like okay we're dominating so klownman is doing well. why do I bring up this assessment?
I just decided to check sofa score and it shows Barca is dominating lol sofa is showing 30%-70% lmao
I'm watching the game live, and Barca are being mulled and dominated from back to front.

Terrible to watch I'll have to turn my TV off soon

Graham Potter has done a fantastic job so far with Brighton but Can he translate or replicate this with a bigger and more star-studded side??! Or will he be another Lampard. That's the challenge these days.

It's kinda early to call, but I believe the top teams will not change that much from the end of last season. However, the top prize will surely be between Tuchel and Guardiola! Ole doesn't have the experience and grit to go the distance (Even though he has one of the best squads in the league currently).

So, it's looking for me like:

Chelsea
Man City
Man United
Liverpool

In any case, he will be more sought after by next season and won't be as cheap.

Bro, talking about prediction for the season, as a Pep fan I'm not gonna hide. I think he's regressing and that's because he's become a bit too arrogant, stubborn cocky or should I say relaxed.

I think United will pose a real threat to City. but I don't know why I still think City will be Champions again. League is a Marathon and Pep is good at that.

My Prediction

City
United
Chelsea
Pool

"My" Manager of the season so far so good is Graham Potter; I too like that guy.

In the absence of Harry Kane, Danny Ings would have sufficed for Man City in that number 9 role... Dude is a top striker! They won't have even needed to break the bank or any useless FFP rule.
Ings flopped hard at Liverpool. But like life, there bound to be second chances

Pep doesn't fancy a striker who can only score, that's why even king Aguero almost fell out with him and had to adapt his game.

Zlatan struggled too, even Pep once preferred Gotze as a F9 ahead of Lewa.
Ings is just a goal scorer and yes, I wish Pep got him but Pep knows what he wants.

Pep wants Kane because he can play and score at the same time, his assist stats speak for him too.
City won't go anywhere if they don't get a clinical goal scorer because their play is now too predictable. Their last game against spurs saw too much sterile possession with no intent.

I love Ings and like I said, I wish Pep got him. But that's just about it.

Truly underrated I wish Arsenal or United got him.

Barca have been a very poor team since 2017.

With Messi Barca took just 1 points from a newly promoted Cadiz.

What does this tell you, it tells you that with or without Messi Barca has been shit!!!

To say the team will struggle is like saying water is wet. or like saying tomorrow is Tuesday.

Barca will struggle even with the GOAT they finished 3rd narrowly on the final day.

I laugh when people shout about PSG being formidable with Messi , please who watches ligue 1 . That farmers league . grin grin Apart for PSG , how marketable is the league with global footballing fans ? Italy has notable clubs even before Ronaldo . Is it marseille or Bordeaux that people will start watching ?
No doubt Messi is a great player but he should have left last year . Now he is unceremoniously hoodwinked by Barcelona when other major clubs have reached their transfer financial caps . Barcelona did him serious strong thing . Ligue 1 is a wrong move .
The two best league in the world should be Spain and England.

If we follow your logic, Ronaldo is currently playing in a farmers league.

That said, I think French teams are doing well in the UCL.

season before last PSG made it all the way to the final while Lyon made it to the semis, defeating City. That's two teams from French league.

I'm a messi fan and I won't hide.

if he can't make it to England with City, I'll be backing him at PSG!!!

You are a Barcelona fan but sometimes you seem to lack details whenever you comment about your said club.

Barcelona is now a weak team no doubt but not weaker than Sevilla IMO. To say they will hardly make top four is just over exaggeration. Even with Messi(GOAT) Barca finished just two points above Sevilla and they did this on the final day.

The Spanish super cup is now a four team tournament. Barca(Copa winners, A.Madrid(League winners, Madrid (league runner up, A.Bilbao(Copa runner up.

So to come here and say that A.Madrid will disgrace Barca shows that you have no knowledge on this particular Cup.

For starters, Barca will not play Athletico Madrid but Real Madrid. So as far as this cup is concern, there's no guarantee that Barca will beat Madrid and go face Athletico who themselves are not certain to beat a resurgence Athletic Bilbao side.

Spanish super cup fixtures

Barcelona vs Real Madrid
Athletico Bilbao vs Athletico Madrid

They will have you believe that Pep is not interested in small trophies... That UCL is the prime target and goal this season, with EPL as consolation.

Guardiola should better find a way to derail Messi from France to England... That might be his best shot at that elusive title.
Those who think Pep is not interested in small trophies are delusional or simply out of sync with reality.

No Manager has won more small trophies(Cup and league) titles than Pep since his debut in the EPL.

Pep wants to win it all including the elusive UCL title.

Conspiracy theory....
Laporta simply didn't want a Messi reunion with Pep that's why he waited and waited and announced Messi's departure same day Grealish signed for a record fee and was given the #10 Jersey.

Pep being the best manager in EPL gives him that leverage. I think with or without Messi he can win the UCL. All he needs to do is not to over think his tactics.

It's a trophy lost for pep, and I can tell you he's upset because he's a winner who has proven himself for decades!!!

You made an outstanding point and this is what I've experienced. When one have the virtue of contentment, he appears wealthy to other materialistic folks. Because one doesn't go about asking for money, carry his own weight diligently and even help despite his own challenges doesn't mean his is rich or can help beyond a certain level.

It's also a case of people expecting your help to be somewhat revolutionary. If you have a Benz for example, they would expect you to help them to a point where they will have a benz too, even though you can't. Also, they may not have productive skills to cash out on their own and somehow, think just because they want it, and assumed you can help, then so be it and that they should have it.

It's also a case of delusion. Because someone think I'm in a position to help doesn't mean I can. Lots of folks abroad passes through this. A man may be illegal wherever they are, hiding from police and doing hard jobs under the table to survive, but people back home will heap all their problem on him with the wrong mindset that because he is abroad, he must be able to help.

I also intensely hate the fact that because someone is in need of help, they are automatically immuned from fault. I say this again, lots of needy family members are loosers, ungrateful, opportunist and a leaky basket. Doesn't matter how much you give, they will come back to beg for more. The idea that the one in the weak position (the beggar) is somehow good and the assumed rich guy (the giver) is bad is wrong. Thats about it.

Pareto principles which says that 20% of people have 80% of the wealth is not some unfair capitalistic, exploitative, inhumane system that people make it to seems. It is completely a natural law and a biblical one at that. Also known as the mathew principle in the bible.

So you see, the more hardworking and drive yoy have, the more successful you'll become. But if one is lazy, have no drive and keep begging, thr poorer they will be.
You've made lots of valid points and yes you're right about a lot of things.

Education is very important here.

I don't give people money as a way of help.

That's not to say I won't assist you if the need is urgent with raw cash.

here's the thing. You know your family and you'll know who is doing well and who's not.

What I do, because I try to be very anonymous. I send a friend, or a delegate.

Tell so so person to go learn how to repair a car, the cost is on me etc

or tell xyz to go to abc and tender this letter, he'll be given a keke to drive and play back at a very low rate. We must make him pay back so he doesn't become unserious

I know i can't help every body but....

I'll help as far as I live and as far as I can!!!

This topic deserves to be taught in schools.

The family member u r looking up to for help could be needing major help as well...no one owes you anything. The entitlement mentality needs to be wiped away especially in Africa.
That I have a car and own a house don't mean I ain't owing bank loans. You may need just 50k and I can't help don't mean I am wicked. If I am to give, it should come from a place of love not cos I am a tool that generates money for everyone.
Many of the entitled ones will still violate privileges believing that they can come back again n again for help.

Stop expecting family members to come through always. Be considerate.
Jackie Chan is not leaving his money behind for his son....he asked his son to work hard and make his own money. Try it in Africa.
How to make money and be independent should be taught in school not this....

HELP OTHERS IF YOU CAN, FAMILY MEMBERS OR NOT!!!

Before you say we're saying same thing, I think we're not.

My dad died when I was in ss2, my mum was relatively young and was just a seamstress. in fact when my dad died, my mum became sick.

I thank God for my family members, it was just unbelievable. Even till today I still can't believe such acts of generosity because it's rare in Africa.

After sec school I was sent abroad to study. a family member did that for me.

If I wasn't helped by a family member, I would have been in prison by now or begging for food.

I've in turn helped others in my family first. The aim is to establish a foundation where lots of less privileged will be assisted.

I believe in true religion. Help others but if you can, start from your family because at the end of the day family is still where you end up!!!.

Small boys are balling in the EPL so explain clearly how Messi, the greatest dribbler, goalscorer, playmaker and player with highest assists won't perform?

A league where yaya toure scored twenty goals is where Lionel Messi will not thrive?
You must be a joker who watches too much English TV

If he joins EPL,he is going to join man city, arguably the best squad in the world and here you are saying he won't perform when he has players almost as good as he is..Just quit your hatred for Messi and Barca and reason well jare
The problem is hate, I know they know the truth deep down but afraid to tell!!!

A league where, Michu, a normal player @Real Oviedo and Rayo came to the EPl with Swansea and hit double figures instantly

A league where Bruno Fernandes a player, if you wanna compare him to Messi is not up to 5\10 is lighting up and hitting double figures playing as a midfielder second striker sort of.

A league where Kelechi iheanacho is hitting double figures

A league where a rejected(Barcelona) Alexis Sanchez came and killed, hitting double figures at will until he joined United.

A league where Ollie Watkins a player who never played there came and hit double figures

Rasford, a footballer with very poor decision making in the final third is hitting double figures in the said league.

I won't forget to mention Yaya lol, a midfielder who hit 20 times in the said league

Samir Nasri, in his first season at arsenal was nominated as EPL player of the season.

Dimitri Payet was almost unplayable in EPL, but was rejected at Lille. But Messi won't do well here lol!!!

The list is endless and I have to stop because it's getting embarrassing.

The aforementioned players are no where near Messi level. not even close!!!

Illimitable:
Silva was better than Mata
Toure was better than the worn out Schweini
Fernandinho was better than Schneiderlin
Aguero was miles better than Rooney
Sterling was better than Martial.

You are making my point.
Not here to argue just want to add to what you guys are trying to say.

I think the difference is the coach.

I didn't start this argument so I don't know what was said in the past but I'll contribute based on player comparison.

The aforementioned players, I think the difference is the coach at least to some extent.

Silva and Mata for me can be measured as somewhat equivalent until Pep arrived.

Martial was the most expensive teenager at the time of his transfer and was somewhat rated ahaed of Sterling.

Aquero on the other hand was a goal scorer, a pure striker so his numbers will fare better than that of Oga Rooney who was always behind the main striker and even played in midfield occasionally.

My pont is that while City went for a World Class coach, United settled for Mediocrity(Ole)

A classic case of a good coach is what happened at Chelsea last season and Bayern the season before. With Lampard, Chelsea won't be UCL winners.

Replace Ole with Conte and United will be a very serious team to compete against.

But I get your point sha...safe!!!
