the proof of the theory is on page 112 of the new edition of the tele satellite and broadband magazine.

according to them it was a known fact as far back as 20 years ago!

here's the link http://magazine.tele-satellite.com/TELE-satellite-0811-eng.pdf

turn out Badaru's theory of "Multiple Dishes Pointing to Same Satellite for Higher Gain" is actually correct. someone should give him a national award.

Olofofo,

are u saying your decoder no longer opens those channels? i can guarantee u it wasn't aljazeera giving away freebies because that would mean the rest of us would have benefited also. the only explanation still remains that u had active keys for JSC sports.
I really did not patch that decoder, we will not know for sure until my nilesat comes back. but i know that keys are out for all three +3 channels as at sunday and i did not us them,

bone that alajaeera matter, it was a case of temporary madness on aljaeera;s part and not some stroke of genius on my decoder's part. Key for aljazeera are available though, check online Enigma mentioned it some posts back.

for all those with 1.8m motorized and with access to Eutelsat w6, there's an encrypted Movie channel called Aflam on 11653 V 15714. They show a mixed array of movies both in English and in French. and they have a publicly available BISS key, Google it and enjoying viewing.

@all
turn your FTA pictures to near High Definition transmission by getting a component video cable, most of the new strong decoders comes with this connection. it is way better than the normal AV cable. need i mention that most flat screen, LCD, Plasma TVs and Home theater systems come with this connection as well.

i had to go get another decoder today, since no one offered help on whether or not my fried decoder can be fixed. i used the oppurtunity to get an upgrade, SRT 4663x after calling badaru and ola for some advice. anyway, found out that strong has a full fledge Technical workshop in alaba and i was told that replace the panel of my SRT 4652 is 2k because it is old.  the service is free for newer models of decoder.

since the interest in Starsat decoders have increased since my post. i did a check on the dealer in alaba and what he has now is the Model SR X6300cu Super.

since saturday when i mention it's ability to open Aljazeera + , i have not been able to use it cause i lost the other decoder, i will take to Alaba tommorow to fully confirm what we have all been talking about cause my Nilesat is still down. Tracking with the new decoders na Die, they give too many false signal readings.

I do not think that any dealer in Alaba is in the business of patching decoders before being sold, it does not make any sense. i posted the encryption on the screen of the starsat last night for gangsta, it uses IRDETO-SHL according to the starsat.

lastly Alaba still remains the cheapest Place to buy any FTA stuff since all the major dealers are there.

Thanks for the reply, about your lastest discovery about the JSC sport channels and the starsat decoder, please give me detail prices for the best dish with the best coverage because I don't understand why you have to combine 2 dishes like you said "i have a 1.8m motorized  with KU and C band lnb, plus 2.4m for nilesat." I like to watch nilesat channels which I believe are the Jsc's, al-jazeera and most asian channels. give  me the price for the dish needed for the nilesat, the best decoder that can decode most scrambled channels at the moment.

If you intend to compare the two dishes (1.8m and 2.4m) or your two decoders (strong and starsat), what advantage will you say one have over another?

can the dish be installed on an accessible rooftop?

once again, I want you to know that you are highly appreciated and you worth more than ever
the 1.8m dish is motorized, that means it has access of satellites that are receivable in Nigeria. the Nilesat is fixed although it is the best FTA package out there. take for example today. the match between Enyimba and Al haly, NTA quality was really bad. if you have a motorized dish, all you need to do is move the dish to where you can watch a clear copy. i watched it on LC2, a benin republic channel thats shows the CAF champions league live with a lot of MAKOSA. that is just an example.

yes you can install on rooftop, but remember it has to be flat, like a decked rooftop.

check my previous post for pricing for a 2.4m dish. With my discovery that starsat decoder opens Aljazeera sport +, you might want to get one as well in addition to a satong receiver which is the best for tracking satellites.

I appreciate all the informations that you've giving me about the FTA, I'm just sought of confuse because it's something I haven't seen, I just imagine what it really is and I wish to view it one day soon,  you talk about viewing aljazeera and I envy you because I know they are one of the best sport channel around these days with the likes of showtime,

please I wouldn't mind if you can tell me details of your setup for your personal FTA and the cost for me to be able to enjoy all these channels like you do. also, what it's going to take me to get your assistance  or any of the FTA gurus (Baderu, Enigma, Baba, etc) purchasing and Installation because i have no experience in this field and I'm not yet confident enough to take the risk.

@all

I really appreciate all the information and assistance I've gotten from here, I want you to know that I'm not a pest it's just that the whole FTA thing is new to me and right now, I have stated to imagine the amount of channel I will be watching and How happy I'll be when I'm able to get all this stations you mention,

Lastly,  I read about viewing different channels on different disk inclinaton or angles, does that mean that each time you want a diffenrent channel you need to go outside and rotate or adjust the dish?
I believe whatever you desire is subject to your budget.  for me, i have a 1.8m motorized  with KU and C band lnb, plus 2.4m for nilesat. i aso maintain a subscription with HITV just incase, i believe it's small price to pay for some matches that one ight want to watch, plus madam gets to watch those nigerian movies as this are not really available on FTA.

regarding getting help from anyone here. you will have access to where you will get good dishes and to buy a very good decoder, regarding installations you can do it your self or get help in here, am sure one of us can spare on saturday or sunday to do that as long as there are no HOT premiership matches.

believe me, there's really no risk. as long as you have the cash  to buy the equipment and you have space to put your dish. am willing to share my experience with you for free, this goes for a lot of members as well. holla me anytime 08033401080.

all,
I 'm really happy with the new-found love and enthusiasm for Nilesat.I remember a lot of people were discouraged by the dish size especially with a place like Lagos where there is hardly space. But I would like to point out one sad fact about 1.8 and 2.4m dishes picking Nilesat in Lagos-No matter how strong the lnb or other accessories might be,you can't pick the really juicy Showtime packages i.e.Showtime sports1-4,CNN,Boomerang,Discovery world,Show Action, etc.I'm sure badaru should be able to explain that.I'm not discouraging you but I want you to really enjoy Nilesat by going for 3m fibre or pan in the south.Concerning the off and on keys, you can't really feel the excitement some of us get until the keys are on especially if you have internet access or a cafe in the neighbourhood. It is worth the stress.
The keys are off but you can open Showtime freq with Disney channel and other juicy stations-NILE SAT 11859 v 27500 irdeto2 provider 060410.visit www.soirnet.com.I think it is the best for getting keys for now.I would have posted the keys but it is illegal,so please visit the site where you can also get keys for AFLAM TV  MOROCCO EUTELSAT W6 11651 V 15710 BISS. You can also watch live matches on the site.I am currently enjoying la liga MADRID v ESPANYOL there. They joined jsc+2 through USTREAM live.
Would you believe that the e tv feed 12712 V 4423 on 0.8w Intelsat 10-02 this afternoon showed the entire second half of the Chelsea v Aston Villa?I immediately called olofofo and mide2008 as they both pick the bird.OSMI is also showing FIFA indoor football.
With the demise of RDV and ART/Showtime,2M Maroc Nat is still the best bet for premiership on fta for now.
sorry,I am yet to fix my shop 0.2db lnb on my Nilesat.I was ill throughout the week.

badaru1/enigma,
I wouldnt want to drag myself into the more dishes/more signal debate. But I think it does not look feasible.Signals travel from one uplink point in the space directly to the downlink point on the earth.it looks like saying more vsats, better internet signal in Ikeja but it does not work that way.I am just confused because you almost convinced me with your last post.enigma and f-marshal tried hard to explain the way I understand it too.
badaru, why can't everybody pick mbc on w3a at night inspite of the fact that almost all of us are hooked to it?I think your explanation would give me a rethink about the debate. It is really educating.

olofofo,
It was really nice talking to you some hours ago.I am proud of you for discovering that your decoder could open jsc+1,2,3 and confirming it.Please keep it up.I am sure you are also enjoying la liga on the internet right now.

gangsta101,
I still don't understand why you don't pick mbc persia in kd of all places.mine is as high as 66% now in Ogun state, even 24/7 clear.

mide2008,
please come out of hibernation.I think the place is now sanitised and back with excitement especially with the Nilesat craze which is also your area of speciality just like badaru1.I am back,Enigma is also back so you too must get back. Please forget the roforofos that pissed you off. What do you think about the more dishes, better signal debate?and olofofo's discovery on starsat?
great post and a useful site. thx for the call as well.

it seems aljazeera uses 2 different encryption, irdeto and BISS. it is probably the biss keys that are on ur system. please check the BISS keys, (or DCW keys) if u see anyone that has a 4 character string with either 08AF, 0E08, or 0603, but if u r not sure, take a pix of ur BISS screen let me see how they are and i will get back to u. sorry for all the bother oh, i am sure we will make a break through,
according to my decoder, aljazeera + use irdeto-shl and according to lysat they use Irdeto 2KeyFly

Once it comes to keys for opening scrambled channels, the only difference is in how they are arranged, but nearly all decoders use the same keys. so if u access the key edit menu and can locate the jsc sports keys, just send them to me, and i'll carry on from there, if u r not sure which ones are the keys, let me know, i'll guide u on how to locate them.

Baba Egun,

I'm not so sure where u can get the starsat decoder but in the order of ranking of decoders i think they progress from Humax, starsat, echostar/echolink (all use the same ALI chip) and then the clones. u can ask the guys who supply you ur materials to look for them for you.
what encryption does aljazeera sport + use, so that i can copy everything under that for you.

Olofofo,

what model of starsat decoder are u using? please check out this link hxxp://www.satellites.co.uk/satellite/receiver-software-international-section/12991-emtech-receiver-patched-starsat-receiver.html, for info on key editing on starsat. please if u can retreive the keys for the jsc + sports, they are either BISS or DCW keys, (but may also be irdeto), or maybe 2 keys at once, i am not sure. please get back to me, thanks.
MY starsat is model SR-X3100CU ultra. the key menu is accessible without in out any code like 8080. about using the same key for Aljazeera sports, i thought keys were decoder specific? let me know if there's anything that i can do to help.

try using your decoder with a working Nilesat installation and see if it can open the channels.

never really had interest in the decoder since i have my strong 4652. so my strong has problem so, i plugged the nilesat into the starsat and gbam aljazeera +1,+2, +3 opened. i have never patched the coder. noticed early that it opens etc, sabc wthout 6969. i believe the decoder needs a really closer scrutiny, it can not a lot more without having installed any patch oooo. imagaine i was willing to exchange it to a X series strong. the guy that sold it to me told me that i was crazy.

Those card shari*g receivers are not worth it; for instance, the servers for most of them are currently down. What you will find with most of those receivers is that they will work for a few weeks (maybe months), then server goes down and that might be the end of the receiver.

On improving signal --------- hmmmm, seems like time to buy a new and better 2.4 dish!!!!!!! grin

Seriously, I don't think a signal booster or panel beater will do that much good.

To tell you the truth, I am really impressed by your set up. I will like to know more about your motorised 1.8; can you please post a picture of it? I remember you are using 2 LNBs with it; one Ku and one C, is that correct?

(I was writing this when I saw your question just posted)

First, congrats on your Nilesat. Can you receive MBC Action and also MBCs 2 & 4? In fact, there are quite a number of channels on Nilesat with English programming including also some of the Kuwaiti channels. Alkass is a sports channnel; I mention this because it may not be obvious from the name.

As for Showtime keys, they are currently down and not working in most receivers, so you have to wait a little while. On the other hand, I think ART is still opening; I haven't checked as I can't receive ART on Nilesat. Incidentally I have an official ART card that I use on 13e).

between what brand receiver are you using?
yes i get MBC but late at night till early morning. my dish was in really terrible shape, In fact i was going to ask if there's a way to increase the reception of the dish. signal booter?, panel beater?, stronger decoder? etc

i already have alksas on my 1.8m motorized on aranbat 2B. currently i am using strong 4652 but i was told I could get better receptions with the x series decoders. also i am currently investing in one of those card sharing decoders since i have brodband internet. any advice will be appreciated.

@enigma n Olofofo

Thanks for the swift response and also your advise on making my choice, I wouldn't want to be selfish and consider myself alone, I'm the only boy in the midst of 5 ladies and I think I wouldn't justify my concience if I see this better offer of FTA and go ahead to satisfy myself alone, my family have waatched cable TV before with the help of california and they really enjoyed MBC 2 and 4 programs(Dr. Phil, Opera, and the movies), I think it will be a good option to have this programs back and also I don't get to pay any money monthly as stated from what I read.  I would prefer this FTA if it's really something you can help me get the best out of. From what I read, it's not that I don't get to watch football at all because I saw you mention a channel that shows 3 live EPL matches and if I'm not watching football other sports like, MotoGP, Lawn tennis will be better alternatives.

If the full cost for the best FTA services and Installations is about 25,000. I guess it's really a benefit because when you get you hiTV and you subscribe for about 3-6months the total cost will be above the FTA cost, it's not also guaranteed that their will be light anytime matches are played therefore, I'll choose the option which I think is right for me and I really need your assistance with this option which is the FTA option,

NB: I have the space for it
if you really want to enjoy FTA, then consider investing in a 2.4m fixed dish for NILESAT, which is one of the best FTA package out there. you will enjoy sports and your sister will probably enjoy more than you, since there enough movies, sitcoms and talk shows to lat one a lifetime. the size of the dish is the picture i posted earlier today and if you have space for something like that, then you are on your way to enjoying FTA.

cos implication.

dish is about 20-22k
decoder 7-8k
cable 900-1100
LNB 3000-2500
cost of installation varies, but first you have to get someone that can do it for you, i can recommended some members here for you.

the only thing that might perhaps suffer is your sleep, because with over 300 channels, you might not have time to sleep.
