enitan2002: @ olofofo, thats is where am driving at, because to me its somehow confusing, i know every parts of a motorised setup, but i don't know their names, because am not familiar with them yet. Tell me with your previous pictures of your 1.8m dish and badaru's own, where the jack is, though i know the actuator, but what about the eurostar box in the house, just tell me linearly how the connections are made. Whats the name of the box where the positions are being stored the one inside is the positioner. the jack is what actually moves the dish from east to west and back. the positoner controls the jack, |

enitan2002: @ olofofo, i will like to ask if you personally install your 1.8m motorised, if so, i will like you to share some tips on the forum maybe i will get somethings from them. Where does the wire running out of the actuator goes to?
The main reason am asking all these questions is that i want to make this 1.8m motorised dish my final year project by next year, so i don't want to leave any stones unturned enitan. everything comes with a manual of how to install. Piece of cake. the real trick is tracking your satellite in the east and in the west. the cables from the positioner is connected to the jack outside. |

obnelly: People in Accra Ghana,i think their is no crime in trying, this longitude and latitude of a thing i don't think is the issue ,if people in lagos can receive Nilesat with 2.4m dish ,why can't you try as well.I still believe its possible in Ghana. If you study your nilesat beam very well it enters Nigeria via North from the left and not from the chad ,i THINK Ghana is inclusive .kindly try it and if it doesnt possible i think you must have gain some experience based on that nilesat of a thing. Ola i never get that stuff ooooooo,i will keep trying till i get it ,then i should be able to post it.In anyway am still trying. Hunting for used dish is possible but if those people realise they too can make good use of those dishes i bet it with you they will never let go. olofofo, what about 1.8m can i get sportmax and 2m with it .I want to motorise it .How possible is that because i havent handled a motorised assignment before.Need help here. i am certain about 2m, and not so certain about sportmax. |

ftalover: Olofofo, wish I have the space to keep such a big dish. I would just dump DSTV. Does it means that with 90cm dish one is doom from FTA? If not please whats the option? Am ready to learn from you gurus.
Thank you. with a 90cm dish, you are actually limited in the no of good free to air stations that you can enjoy. the best for your size of dish it pas 10 ku, where etv is, nss 7 ku as well as eutelsat w3 which is actually the best of the lot in term of programming. osef: How do I get a 2.4m dish, I live in kogi state and please what is the cost as at present, including the Fiji lnbf stuff,I will really appreciate info. on the availability as I,m so tired of the pay TV stuff. 2.4m dish is about 20k in the market, strong LNB is 2500 canle is 1000, f connector is about 50 for all you will need, strong 4663x is about 7500. cost of installatio varies. since you are in Kogi, getting it to Kogi via ABC transport will be betwwen 2500-3500. do the math. |

sathob: @Enigma, F-MArshal,Microgiant and all Thanks for the contributions, comments and advice regarding the RADIX DT 100 patch issue. though, I have not found any results (it's been difficult), I am here to express my profound gratitude for the response to my call.
@Captainus, I am just returning from the Strong Office. My mission - I was there to check on 2.4m solid pan dish, but to my dismay, they don't have it. The guys asked for the purpose for my request and i told them I want to track Nilesat. Then they told me it's not possible in Ghana with 2.4m, b'because with the 3.7m dish they are using, they are not able to receive all the signals. He explained further that Ghana falls in the tertiary part of the footprint so the signal is very week. They also said Nigeria and Benin falls under the secondary part of the footprint (u know the colored rings or circle on the map reflecting coverage area for reception). This, I am yet to find out. Nevertheless, My hunt for that bird is still hot.
@Enigma, F_Marshal, Enitan, Jujukemist, Pitodenz, Badaru1 and all What is the direction from which Nilesat signal is emanating or spreading. If Nilesat is in the West to Ghana and Nigeria, then, in my personal opinion the signal should be coming from the west. Infact, I want an answer to this in connection with what I have addressed to Captainus. I can't get that from lyngsat. I count on you. definitely coming from the east. ouch! meant west |

olofofo. body don fine now ooo.the zain thing did not work me.
Nilesat gurus/badaru1/mide2008/enigma, the 0.2db shop lnb was installed at the weekend but it did not give me improved signal. So,I had to return the fuji lnb which gives me maximum signal of up to 80% on channels like Showtoday. What could be wrong with the shop and gsat.I sawed off the edge and did all the same things I did for fuji, yet they bring low signals while fuji shoots up as soon as it is installed. great to hear you are finally in good health, in my opinion, Fuji still remains one of the best LNB in the market. @enitan. the thing no gree work oooo, same issue with registering on the network. |
