From the manual I noticed online, it seems like a pretty solid build, but a real time test might say otherwise, with its "power save" mode it idle consumption should be reduced considering that it is transformer based I will charge LiFePO4 as a standard charging profile with none editable parameters ... I could be wrong and open to correction. Kindly check attached pictures, if that is the said inverter tomi01: Good day gurus in the house. Yes, With the 10, you operate more in the MPPT range even in low irradiance but for the 5 you might fall short of range due to aforementioned Evan65: I'm making use of a hybrid inverter 500voc and 80a. So connecting 10pairs in series and parallel both is better than connect 5 pairs in series then parallel them? |

Information not complete as inverter or charge controller is not provided ButAssuming it is a 450/500VoC hybrid or rated charge controller, with your VoC 10 panels in series will slide through no problem, while they are parallel together. Assuming the both exist on a single/same panel. Good luck at your installation Evan65: Hello, please I need your urgent reply on this. What's the best solar panel connect for a this solar system. Its a 8 battery system (12v 200ah) with 20 solar 350w solar panel(39.8voc,10.8imp). I'm thinking connection 5 pairs in series then parallel them will be best. My friend suggested 10 pairs in series then parallel both. I will like suggestion on the best panel connection for optimal result |

The battery appears dead! If it's possible to parallel a few good ones (3-6) and parallel it with the faulty battery ... There is a slim chance that the inrush current might rejuvenate it, though unlikely but it is worth a shot haslaw: Good evening Gurus in the house,
I seriously need your help. I have 12 units of 2V/600AH Shoto battery on a 24V system. Last night the inverter went off shortly after NEPA went of. So this morning, I recorded the following readings on each of the batteries as shown in the pictures below.

If your storage is properly size, then yes it possible start from high temperatures like 25°c first and lower as desire. IMO ... Plus with solar the stress is less on storage MontyNG: Quick one guys,
If using lithium batteries, can you retain your non-inverter AC?
Or you have to change it out to inverter ACs
I will rather retain my 1.5hp non inverter AC as the market options for inverter ACs are limited. (only LG/Hisense I think) |

Growatt are working to reduce or eliminate power export to the grid and improve more of self consumption which is where Grohome their feature comes in Grohome is a feature that uses varieties of smart devices like EV charger, lamps, socket, thermostat and a few others which will automatically detect and switch on appliances when there is excess power generated but not used to prevent export to grid In this part of our hemisphere, for the main time Working with google or smart devices that can work with it is the way to go for now especially with Growatt With a Google home device, you can link smart lamps, smart sockets, smart TV, washing machine, microwave, AC and thermostat et. cetera with the Growatt app as a third party to control couple of these devices when you detect you are generating more using google assistance and a chain of trained routine, you can have the smart appliances work just by using words like "Good morning Google" ojeysky: Bros could you elaborate on how growatt does this? |

It all boils down to personal opinion for those who needs it personally, as we know money moves the Nigerian customers demand Many are concerned about basic functionality and since they both look the same, they go for a cheaper available option Personally/professionally for me I will pick a Growatt over SMK based on 1. Two year warranty over a year of SMK 2. Remote monitoring - this feature is very handy for pro installers 3. Wide online community 4. Out of the box - lithium battery comms 5. Smart home ready, right out of the box With many installation sites running Growatt we can run diagnose problems in real time jamesid29: Good morning all. A question has been bugging me for the past couple of days now.
Recently stumbled on SMK inverters and they seem to be reasonably priced. Looking at the SMK specs against Growatt's, they seem to be almost identical in terms of what they offer(aside from the follow come WiFi stick and capability). But yet one seems to be a darling in the market while the other one rarely features in conversations even though it has almost identical features ,even to the battery less function( atleast on paper) at a lower cost.
Is it that the SMK's are of a lesser quality in terms of build or perculiar issues (maybe charging)? Or is it that Growatt has just been better at branding themselves in the Nigerian market?
I know, what is written on paper does not always translate into the real world and I'm still finding my way in this renewable energy universe (just started this year), so I say make I ask those that have far more experience in the group and from marketers who deal in these products.
I'm not trying to knock down any of the products, it's just a question that has been in my head for some days now. Any input is very much appreciated. Thank you |

I don't know it all especially this particular battery chemistry but I won't 100% agree with some things technically but in all the energy remains the same Dam5reey: It's simple 135 Cells at 2.2ah each is 297AH at 3.7V
Or 99AH at 11.1V
Is 300Ah correct yes, technically, but most don't pay attention or fully understand technically details. |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by olopan(m): 2:16pm On Aug 24, 2021 |
I don't know if our reasoning is line but The last picture has 45 cells of 2.2Ah in parallel making them in total 99Ah With three of them in series, each block maintains 99Ah 3.7V nominal x 3s =11.1V 11.1V x 99Ah = 1098.9Wh Assuming 4.11V - 3.7V is the use range but it Li-ion batteries of 3.7V can go as low as 3.4/3.3ish( not confidence of the range) In the real sense battery is 99Ah not 300Ah based on analysis above ceaser: Please help me for here o. Na someone tell me say a vendor sent him this and that he maintained that the capacities are NOT FAKE but true capacities. He said he gave him links of sellers that had fake capacities to compare. The breaker trips because it is an AC MCB doing work of a DC MCB I want to understand something, your said MCB was placed where in the DC Circuitry? 1. Before inverter PV input 2. Between inverter and battery alstacs: It's an AC breaker rated 100A and my inverter is hybrid with a 70A MPPT. Once the sun is bright and the MPPT is charging in the range of 20 to 30A in bulk, the breaker trips off. Any charging current below that, it won't. The panels are 9 in 3x3 stings. Each of them is 260W, Imp 8.82A, Vmp 31V. The cables are appropriate and were even revised just to be sure. The only option left was to change the breaker to the appropriate DC. NB, a similar breaker within the same box on the AC side works fine. |
