While in pry school, I never came first. Came 2nd once though. In secondary school, we weren't ranked, we just got grades - pass, fail, credit etc
I remember once or twice getting my results though and having to make some 'adjustments' with correction fluid (tippex) as I didn't want to get the beating of my life judging from my parents reactions to previous results. I spanked waec - 6As, 2Bs and a silly C6 in geopgraphy.

I chooses that topic and use the word Curse to get what i wanted to know , grab the attention of people so that i can achieve what i wanted so many vital questions has been asked in this forum with no responses and i think you guys should have been used to it from the front cover of magazines and newspapers you read daily that the way a word is stated in the cover front doesn't mean the content of the true story rhymes with it

and finally i got what i wanted  and it doesn't mean i won't repeat the same in all of my future posts , infact it will only make me use such words more often

and finally from what i gathered i would say people sometimes like the inconvenient over the convenient and the uneasy over the easy and there are some people who enjoys things better if only they can use there own manpower to put it to work

One of the best places to study medicine is in naija as it is relatively inexpensive, compared to schools in Europe n usa where u would av incurred a lot of debt by d tym u r graduating. N besides, graduates from these places that come back to Nigeria are not necessarily better than nigerian graduates (i av some of them from ukraine, russia etc as fellow interns). Nigerian graduates also do very well in the USMLE n plab. Despite all d strike wahala that plagued ASUU at the tym, i graduated in exactly 6yrs from the premieré though doctors from some other unis may av different stories.

@ijoseda, real nyc reading ur post. I'm also a doc, graduated in 2010 n will be done with internship in lyk 2 wks. I'm also not a big fan of clinical medicine n sat for d GRE last year n got 1420 with perfect Q scores looking to get in for MPH after my service year iA. I'm giving d steps tho and hoping to match in pathology. Although I got an award as the most hardworking intern in my department at d end of d year, I feel clinical medicine ain't for me as I am happier away from work. All d best to all of us. As an SS1 student, I had to make a choice of either going to a science class or Commercial class. But then It was unheard of that someone with a result like mine (top 5% in my set) would go into a commercial class. Even if you had a flair for commercial courses, you would rather take them as an elective subject while facing core science subjects in the science arm of the school. While i was in science class, my Maths, physics, chemistry and Biology was top notch! My Economics was wonderful too! I would have studied economics as an Undergrad! But then, by default, once you come out tops from science class, its either you Study  engineering or medicine as an undergraduate. We had a school counsellor back then, but She did nothing to help correct this wrong impression. Most times i used to think she also needed counselling!

I ended up studying medicine and surgery in the university and i graduated in 2008! All thru my years in school, i knew something was missing, but i tot it was too late then. After my first night call in the Hospital during my Internship, I knew i couldn't practice clinical Medicine!

Right now, I'm almost thru with a  Msc in Health economics and I work as a Health Information system Technical Assistant to an NGO.  I love the Job. The plan is to become a Health system Specialist/Analyst. In the coming years, I plan to do a little of Human resources for health, healthcare financing, health management and stewardship.

Getting out of clinical practice was a difficult decision for me, but i had to take the risk, and it is gradually paying off!

While I agree that you should be sure of what service you are paying for, I think dat dis is not very necessary especially in a teaching hospital setting. N besides, tipping or talking to people will not be of help as you will just be assured that the instruments 'll be sterilized. I have been in a teaching hospital for the better part of the last 5yrs, initially as a student n now as a doctor and I don't fink u need woRry at all. All d best with the surgery.

Those are just personal opinions of the bloggers. As a blogger myself, we just express our opinion because we are entitled to it, but that does not mean that we are always right. If circumstances change, this same bloggers may even contradict themselves. People will always oppose change. I bet you that when Facebook first came, some Myspace users may have had the same sentiments but several years on, the difference is clear.

I agree with you to the hilt that they are just blogs and are reflections of the bloggers which is exactly my point in quoting them as @zaynee63 was of the opinion that its only in Nigeria that people are not embracing google plus. I just wanted to make him realize that this isnt true and I hope I succeeded. Good to know that a lot of people are still hopeful about d prospects of google +. whatever happens though, a little competition never hurt anybody (@ least not d customers).

All my peeps in the offshore naija have relocated their online social networkings to Google+- It was only a matter of course for them to migrate cuz google was not a mere search engine or mail provider to them,
