CuteMercury: Alright i understand you. but you do not know what is going on in AMERICA. since Rihana insulted Trump, why has she not released her album? do you know that about 70% of the population are whites in America and about 80% are Trump supporters? dont allow the media deceive you. Trump is doing a great job. I live in America so I know. Many people insult Trump everyday and Trump retaliates how has that got to do with Rihana's album? America is not about white and black sometimes the people you think are white are actually black in their DNA. Americans care more about leadership now, Trump could have being one of the greatest presidents ever but he's too trivial, a leader has to ignore sometimes instead of commenting on every little things. Like all other leaders he achieved some and fail in some other places, talking without thinking and not uniting the people are his greatest undoing. |

SmartPolician: The guy does not worship anyone
He is just saying that those musicians should be apolitical Ok but I don't think Cardi B is merely concerned about the politics I guess, like other people she was just expressing her own desire for leadership. She is a star in her own right, this idea that white people have to dance to your music to make you and ideal star is unnecessary. We have varieties so that people can have choices. That I don't like the way Cardi B rap or act can not diminish her achievement in my opinion. White people, black people we are all human. |

CuteMercury: What you said is clearly not what i meant. go and read the post i quoted again then read my post again. you will understand. I see what you mean but these people stand up for the voiceless arguing that they should just sing so as to be loved by other groups of people is a disservice to freedom of expression. Neither Cardi B nor Trump is perfect. Trump says whatever she likes freely same goes for Cardi. This is the only reason America is different from other countries. |

CuteMercury: Bros you are spot on. Beyonce is one of the most intelligent black woman in America. You will never see her take a stand on any political party. Even as close she was to the OBAMAS, she never for once criticizes Donald trump. This is why the whites loves and respects her. Take a look at her new album, see whites dancing to it on youtube and instagram. No black female musician in America will release such an album and wont be termed to have Racial tone. The whites are keeping quiet because its from BEYONCE. imagine if the album was from cardi b. her career will literally be over. this is why Nicky minaj will always be queen, be Richer, be more succesful over cardi b. Because white people loves her d most and she has a wider fan base than cardi b Just look at how many times you mentioned "the whites" my people are precondition to believe anything white is godly while anything black is evil. What is the big deal about white people dancing to a music they are humans just like you stop worshipping white people it can only lead to self-hate which is why our girls bleach their beautiful skin. |

As long as there is no capital punishment for corruption, all of them being sent to kuje will just go there to tour the facility, look at their calendars, and ball out. I'm now waiting for the various visitors he will receive and the red carpet honour he will get for his heroics. Rightly penned. |

NSK4U: an Igbo man running without his elderly father in time of trouble?
Maybe you have never lied but this is the genesis of your lies. I understand how difficult it's for you to believe but unfortunately that was way back in 2002 I had an old Sony Ericsson phone no camera so It's not like these days when everything is recorded. Here is another truth you won't believe... my friend, one of the chief's son' name is Odinaka. They are very good guys and I don't blame them for not risking their lives because when I think back It seems foolish risking my life the way I did but I am also happy I saved a life. These guys are probably reading these thread laughing. The incentive for tribalism is to feel your root is stronger and better but my argument is every tribes have cowards and heroes. If there are igbos who kill their own fathers with their owns hands why is it such a big deal if an igbo youth flee from gun even if his father is in danger. I have been in the world long enough to see igbos who are brave and those who are cowards and same applies to my tribe. Generalizations and stereotyping is bad. |

Maobichek: . Louder dear, God bless you real good. I have been in this forum for years but I hardly comment cos Nairaland thrive on promoting hate, tribalism. If Nairaland comment section is the yardstick to judge Nigeria; Nigeria have no hope but thank God that few sensible ppl are here. I will be happy to see a better Nairaland where respect, love and caring for one another prevails. Once again, thank you. Amen. I agree with you that nairaland stakeholders are probably concern about the economic benefit of these but then there is also the freedom of speech. I think those of us who feel different shouldn't keep our voice low if we desire a change. I miss the old days when it used to be meaningful, useful and intelligent conversations. Thank you too and yes, like you, I hope for a future full of love and respect for one another as humans. |

ogbuefi677: You just quoted d chief tribalist abi you are new to nairaland? Well, what I said in that quote is my opinion about anyone that can't see beyond tribal differences and that also applies to me if i display thesame tendencies. Our common enemies are the ruling class who are dividing us through religion, politics and ethnicity. |

Tranquillity360: I love this your lies What is the lie? I was shocked myself it seemed impossible until that happened. I learnt two lessons that day 1. Bravery is not in appearance or noise making 2. Police sometimes kill innocent people because of inadequate training and fear for their own lives |

omenka: Dear Nairaland Igbos, be wary of such characters as this poster and that Naijaroyalty handle. They are simply out to attract hatred to Igbos and nothing else.
They are MOST LIKELY NOT IGBOS. if they were, they wouldn't rush to this thread to try instigate a fight when there is ABSOLUTELY no need for it. Tribalism is childish in my opinion and there are many kids on this forum. There are many kids in adult bodies too |

NaijaRoyalty: I've said nothing wrong .
The Igbos are hard working , and successful in there fields of Endeavour .
They are not cowards and won't abandon you in your difficult times .
You have problem with that I guess hmm I love all my hardworking igbo friends and neighbours at thesame time I avoid all criminals irrespective of what tribe or whether the person is related to me. We can measure online how miserable someone's life is by how tribalistic, intolerant and bitter they sound. This yardstick can be apply to anyone from any tribe. I once rescued an elderly igbo man from police who would have shot him in error after he was attacked by robbers because all his six, so called brave sons ran away despite all their big muscles during the robbery not caring what could have happened to their breadwinner. Since that day I stopped believing all these lies about one tribe being more coward than other. There are brave people and cowards in every tribe. |

hammer3: I am glad that you also reasoned it.
It is very annoying and you know wat, BBC pushed it to the front page.
You see, wat she said takes the blame off the white and places it on Black or Africans.
This is wat the white claim too, so they will definately feel relieved with her comment , and in some sort of way, look down on black people.
That woman should be made to account for her comment and it should be verified.
If that is the case, her family should pay compensation and the money sent to the carribean.
Even if it means selling their family land. I completely agree with you, she and her wicked family members should be made to pay for their wickedness. |

hammer3: My brother that is how our people behave.
It is called selling out everybody for benefits.
Some people will say anything to live in the white man country or work for him. The thing is a lot of white offspring of slave owners are humbly coming out to apologize for the inhuman treatment their forefathers meted on Africans while an african with a voice is raising her shoulder to say otherwise. It's so shameful bro. How do we make any meaningful progress when every time the world is moving forward, our people are always thinking backward. If my great grandfather had participated in such a barbaric trade I would be hiding my face in shame if I couldn't address it objectively. |
Politics › Re: 'my Nigerian Great-grandfather Sold Slaves' by olu77(m): 9:16pm On Jul 19, 2020 |
hammer3: There is nothing worst than an Igbo person that dont have sense or that is an attention seeking slave.
Does she have any evidence?
My guess is that she is addicted to sucking white blokus and will say anything to appease her white employers or exonerate them of their crimes, even if it means throwing herself and igbo people under the bus.
Ndiigbo should no longer suffer this type of people that bring disaffection to our race.
If she is a decendant of a slave dealer, she and her entire family or lineage, should be punished and face the wrath of it. This is the most senseless confession I have ever read...my grandfather captured other human beings and sold them, I don't think he did anything wrong because he didn't know better and I think we should celebrate him as a hero. Common sense in indeed not common to this our sister. |
