So do not hold 100% brief that the Bible is the word of God. So long it passed through many translations, edit & copies; and as long as a group of people judged which Gospels should make it up or not then its probably more of a collection of works, teachings which still need to be scrutinised.

In saner climes they take part in something much much larger than just a pageant.
