@op, chill, N124B (about 770m euros) is not a bad debt profile for an economically viable state like Lagos, They can easily pay back. Little Belgium of about 11million inhabitants has a debt profile over 300 billion euros.

I'm not surprise, anything pro Buhari was always prominent to make front page, he/she was so bias, victory of the reality silenced Aisha2.

I hope Gej would not blunder to include both men in his cabinet, especially Bode George would be an insult and slap on the face of Nigerians, and there begins the actual taint of his cabinet as a 'pack of joke'.

It's not a surprise that Nigerians are a target in the US. They come in and break all the stereotypes associated with 'black folk', and for so many Americans (black and white) raised on the myth of black inferiority and African incapacity, the shock to their system can be overwhelming when they encounter confident Nigerians and Nigerian success. They just can't handle it.
That was spot on, dude.

I can relate to your analysis among some work colleagues, They could'nt stand the sight of a Nigerian with vast experience coming from a developing country into their fold and rise rapidly in a short time, while they have being there for ages, but who cares, the firm/management want result and I'm delivering just that, anyway they just got live with and accept it.  grin grin grin grin

Please endeavour to state which ministry or position your candidates could best perform their duty.

NOTE: Names from opposition parties are always welcome. ( afterall its going to be an all inclusive government)

Where in Europe are people fined when they withdraw or deposit a stipulated amount of money? In my 20 yrs or there about in Germany, I have never heard of such a policy in this country. And mind you, I did my internment in a bank.

It is true that you can not deposit more than EUR 10,000 without saying where you get the money from. However, this has gotten nothing to do with encouraging cashless transaction, but rather is a tool to couner money laundry and lately international terrorism.

And the reason you can not cash more than a certain amount of money at an ATM is really simple. You sould know that!
Dude

In place like Belgium where I am, the electronic system in every banks are design not to permit a certain withdrawer (as long u dont get the access u dont get a fine), at counter withdrawer the casher will explain what is permited and what is not. For a large sum withdrawer u need a special appointment.
PoliticsRe: Will You Fight For You And Your Future? Nigeria's Oil Bill Faces Major Obstacles by omanzo02: 9:35pm On Apr 29, 2011
The forces against the passage of the bill can be broken if intense pressure from organized bodies around the country can join the call for the passage, this could awaken participation by the common man on the street , I also see this as good avenue and leverage for the militant in the ND, OPC, MASSOB etc to form a united front ( afterall every region are going to benefit from it) to treaten the interest of the oil companies, I'm sure they will win the support of a large portion of the populace that could spur public participation, at that point it will become an urgent national issue that will get an urgent solution,

BusinessRe: CBN Imposes Limits, Penalty On Cash Transactions, Again! by omanzo02: 8:41pm On Apr 29, 2011
Grassroot:
I believe his intentions are good but I think this is a very dumb idea to realize his intentions. If he wants to reduce liquid cash flow in the economy, then he has to promote development of electronic transactions and make Nigerians put faith in it over time. In that case, it would come naturally for people to move around with little cash knowing that their money is better secured and better managed electronically.

By the way, 150,000 is not very much (its just a little below 1000 USD or 750 Euros). Even in advanced countries with well developed electronic systems, this money is not too much to carry about. This is very silly because it is not really a large sum of money. There is no where in the world where such restrictions are imposed and I don't think our economy is mature enough to sustain such restrictions. This is only going to make more persons to be dubious as they would now try to beat the system. Banks might also break the rules secretly and this would cause a bigger circle of crime than he is trying to prevent. At times, I wonder if these so called "leaders" consider the effect of their policies before even letting them out. Its really very funny.
I believe it's high time the Central bank introduces a central electronic bank payment system, so that an individual can have a bankcard for large and little sum of money. they should encourage wholesalers and retailers to acquire a special electronics device with a central secure codes and accounts for receiving payments for good and services. Country like Turkey are not better than Nigeria in terms of trading structure yet the system is working perfectly there.

what is this man up to?
Rastamann:
What business does Sanusi have to tell me how to do my cash transactions? How can I go cashless and use ATM when bank workers and their collaborators capitalize on people's pin to defraud them when they use the ATM. Sanusi should first create the enabling environment by getting rid of bank workers defrauding innocent customers before this his cash limit can work.
Dudes,

Its a good policy in my oppinion, Here in Europe, there is a particular amount of money u can withdraw from your ATM account and physical cash withdraw per day ( is it not our personal money?). And since February 2011 u can not make payment outside the EU anymore with your bankcard (Maestro), it's a way to improve cash flow in a internal economy. So learn how to live with it and stop complaining. grin grin grin
PoliticsRe: Arrest Northern Leaders Now Or We Attack Hausas-militants by omanzo02: 7:58pm On Apr 29, 2011
Never underestimate the power of a government, If concrete and hard evidences are found against Buhari  that he instigated the post election mayhem, He can be arrested and detain for trial and there is nothing the Almajiris can do. Worst case scenerio is that the trouble state will be militarized and locked down till they learn their lesson and act like normal human beings.

I believe GEJ is not going to waste his precious time arresting people base on mere rumours and allegations, But after investigations if he has a concrete evidence against any culprit to put him on trial, then u will know how powerful the man u mock Odechukwu can be.

Ezeuche: Many countries have high voter turnout. Especially if voting is compulsory.

In Luxembourg it is 87%.

In New Zealand it can be as high as 83%

In Turkey the highest was 92% for the entire country.

Sorry but I do not doubt the high turnout ratio in the SE/SS since one of our is voting. People need to start using there minds, before they comment.

PDP controls Ebonyi so if there was rigging in the SE, how come the turnout wasn't high in that PDP dominated state? That pokes a hole in most people arguments
Places like Luxembourg get such voters turnout because voting there is compulsory, also voting in Belgium is compulsory and there is no way u can escape voting as long u are within the territory of the country, and if u were abroad during election, u need to tender proof (visa, boarding pass, toll ticket, parking ticket etc) that u were abroad that's why u could'nt vote, but of course, one click on the database would reveal if u were in the country then or not. grin grin grin grin, Happened to me and that would have cost me 250 Euro fine. grin grin grin

ekt bear: ^-- What is landless farming? Do you mean hydroponics. . . ?
I think he meant hydroponics system of farming, with such system one actually needs a considerably little amount of land, production is efficient and  higher, and increases employment. I see such system can work perfectly in nigeria for tomato, vegetables and other crops considering our tropical weather and enviroment. If thorough research and experiments are carried out, other local crops could be cultivated in such way too.

I wonder if the government encourages such system in Nigeria?, I know it's costly but profitable in the long run, this is what I expect those that study agriculture to invest their time and energy in, in europe, some practical training and backup manuals are enough to start off.

PoliticsCpc: Cannibal People's Congress? Crying Presidential Candidate? by omanzo02(op): 10:53pm On Apr 21, 2011
The advent of Buhari into Nigeria's democratic arena has been characterized with so much controversies and blood letting. I personally see Buhari as a democracy destroyer ( he did it with his coup), and I have no doubt that he is back to repeat his feat again. During the presidential campaigne he advocated violence to his supporters and that has come to pass with high death toll to his record/credit, this keeps me wondering if CPC actually means 'Cannibals Peoples Congress'?,

Buhari shed crocodile tears last week as if he is the most patriotic and righteous candidate to rule the country, but I also notice buhari has been crying since 2003, crying to the court to contest election result in 2003, 2007 and hopefully 2011 in attempt to truncate the new democratic dispensation, this keep me wondering if CPC stands for ' Crying Presidential Candidate'?.
