What intelligent thing did he say. The interviewer gave him serious leeway. Thesame way every other interviewer before gave him a wide breath. They just gave him a platform to defend himself on his own terms. |
CAN SOMEONE POINT OUT TO ME WHAT IS INTELLIGENT ABOUT ANYTHING HE SAID IN THIS INTERVIEW. People keep talking about how intelligent the man is, but he seems as subtle as the average nairaland troll. He makes Mr. Cork sound like a Nobel Laureate. ''No Ofeinse''. The man sounds like every dunce politician who we have had the misfortune to have foisted upon us throughout our history. They deal with platitudes and empty rhetoric, all not amounting to much. By Infrastructure, I guess he means building Abuja right. Well, newsflash Mr. Coup plotter, the Abuja you built is now the biggest scab on the Nigerian landscape. A place of incredible depravity and overwhelming corruption. The biggest Money pit this side of the world that is threatening to ruin us all if it hasn't done so already. |
What does Michael Carrick have to do to get some respect. Granted he has a bit of downside, but he is a very capable midfielder who can control a game with the best of them. Capello needs to get his head out of his arse and make Carrick a permanent fixture. Gareth Barry is nowhere near good enough as Carrick. |
A Yoruba man needed a heart transplant, bt b4 surgery doctors needed 2 store his blood type in case d need arises. B'cos d gentleman had a rare type of blood, it cldn't be found easily. Finally, an Ibo man was located who had d same blood type and who was willing 2 donate blood 2 d Yoruba. Afta d surgery, d Yoruba sent d Ibo a thank-u card 4 givin his blood along wit an expensive diamond and a new Rolls Royce car as a token of his appreciation. Unfortunately, d Yoruba had 2 go thru a corrective surgery once again. His doctors called d Ibo who willingly donated his blood again. Afta d 2nd surgery, d Yoruba sent d Ibo a Thank-u card and a box of sweets.D Ibo was shocked d Yoruba did not acknowledge his kind gesture in d same way as d 1st time. So he phoned d Yoruba and asked him y he had expressed his appreciation in not a very generous manner. The Yoruba replied, "U 4get I have Ibo blood in me now!" ![]() |
http://234next.com/csp/cms/sites/Next/Home/5513787-146/lawmaker_demands_power_handover_to_jonathan.csp I know many are not impressed with Igodo Megodo-lese, but this will not be the first time Obahiagbon has risen to the ''occasion'' and stood up for what is right. He has been very vocal about the poor state of affairs in the nation whether it be the Benin- Ore road or even electoral reform. So the nay sayers should lay off him already. Like he said in one of his famous clips on the web. . . ''I cannot give what I do not have''. |
I do wonder IF Nigerians will be this sympathetic to our own if we had a disaster like this too. This outpour really begs the question. |
Several Premiership managers should hang their head in shame. If a lowly placed team like Leeds can come to Old Trafford and actually play football as opposed to simply capitulate, then I think about seven eights of the Premiership managers are overpaid or don't deserve a job. Word to Martinez of Wigan and that Scrooge at Wolves who thought it best to rest his whole first team cause he thought he could not beat united. |
Kobojunkie:Now why are we not all surprised, later she will be yacketing on how she want Nigeria to succeed, babbling on and on. Do you pray things get worse for your kids so they can learn their lesson . I believe you must have some relatives in Nigeria, pray things get worse for them and live the rest of us biko. |

I think we would be doing an injustice to how well the Eagles played if we attribute the victory in large part to the Burress. Perhaps on offense, yes, but the Giants were no slouches on defense either, and for the first half, Anthony Pierce and Fred Robbins were getting so much penetration, Westbrook had only run for four yards before his first touchdown. In the second half though, the defense got battered. I mean, 9 conversions on third down out of 11 attempts is stellar. @Bawo I would take Westbrook. There are doubts over Bush's ability to be an everydown back. He is good for those stunt plays and dangerous in the open field, but his ability to keep sticking it down the D-line's throat is open to question. Revisionists are already looking at his career with Trojans, wondering out loud if Lendale White was given enough credit for his contributions to the running game. |
@Jesoul I was about to hide my earlier prediction about a late season Giants implosion, but judging from last night's performance, they might be helping to keep Doyindamus's reputation intact. ![]() Mcnabb still makes some iffy throws bwoy, and often to open receivers. But the Eagles can pat themselves on the back especially the way they dominated upfront against a vaunted Giants Defensive and offensive line. A Eagles running game that has struggled looked really good especially in the second half. I feel for the Cowboys though. But for that wrong route by Jason Witten they might have positioned themselves for a field goal. The Steelers though, still have issues especially with that offensive line. Big Ben will crash and burn sooner than later if he has to keep running for his life every snap. And the Pats. . . . oh so close. Seneca Wallace was about to give me a chance to stick a tongue out. Anyways, for being so close, take this ![]() |
Seun:Well. . . . .hard luck Except you want to denominate ur assets in kaduna cowries, you will have to put your money somewhere. |
4 Play:That is a misconception. . . . . Keynes never said the the state should have a permanent presence in the economy. He clearly stated that his aim was not to stifle the creativity of free enterprise. No. His target was the laissez-faire economics which advocated doing nothing, that the market would right itself in the long run, while it sorts out the chinks in the short run. His refrain,''In the long run we are all dead''. The so-called Keynesianism of the mid twentieth century took short term bursts of state activity that Keynes advocated and turned it into a permanent feature, a prelude to the economic troubles of the 70's |

With the recent demolition of De la Hoya by Pacquaio, many aficionados think he is confirmed as pound for pound the best fighter in the world. With the prospects of big money, many suspect Pretty Boy might make a comeback to have a go at Pacquiao. Well if he beats Mancunian 'Hitman' Hatton. So with all these going on, share your views on the goings-on, likely winners, and how things will shake out. |
The Quiet American is quite simply the errrrm, best film I have ever seen. Searched the memory bank, compared and contrasted and I am struggling to find better films. ''Boogie Nights'' perhaps. I no understand Arsenal fans oo. . . This Eboue chap has so much upside. I actually feel he is a better offensive threat at right back than Sagna. Sagna's preference is to run straight down the line, while Eboue doesn't mind drifting inside making him a lot less predictable. Believe it or not I think he is a better prospect on the right wing than Walcott, who himself has a penchant for obstinately going down the line, Eboue's one two game is pretty good, he doesn't mind taking an opponent on as well. So kini big deal. . . . He has largely been a victim of his own versatility I feel. I hope Arsene sticks with him, cause I feel he has the ability to prove his doubters wrong. |
What's it with this booing of Eboue. This guy has so much talent and potential, it is a shame he is being treated so poorly. Granted he might be late in his development cycle since his debut, or even regressed somewhat, but his movement and versatility surely warrants he be kept in the Gunner ranks for the forseeable future. |
Eastbay:Well, you are worried for good reason my friend. Berbatov leading the strike force does not give the same movement as Tevez and Rooney and Ronaldo did last season. That is no slight on Berbatov. He is a magnificient player with excellent touches on the ball. But bar the extra height, I do not see much of an upside to his addition, at least as a starter. |
A-40:Point is, my man Abednego He did. And that's what big players do.The respond to presumptuous posts ![]() |
The problem with the ''conspiracy theories'' as per the price of oil I think is the flawed analysis as to what has caused initially the huge price increase and latterly the rapid fall. The initial surge of oil to the 50 dollar to 80 dollar level was based on fundamentals, that is rising demand from the emerging giant economies especially China. The ensuing spike earlier this year to 148 dollars on the other hand was very much due to the weakening of the dollar, where oil was used as an inflation hedge by investors, and this was capitalised on by speculators. History will not treat Jean Claude Trichet kindly when the story of this crisis is written. He and other hawks on the ECB were not wholly responsible, but significantly, for the high price of oil. With their stringent hawkish stance which they maintained until recently, they were so daft as to not realise the commodity-influenced inflation which was panicking central banks across Europe was largely due to their own hawkish stance. The same shortsightedness was exhibited by the Bank of England, and the central banks in Australia and New Zealand. The recent fall in commodity prices is not unrelated to the flight to safety, dollar denominated assets, that have led to the rise in the dollar. Of course fears over a fall in demand as economies go into recession have also led to the rapid fall in prices. So basically, there are no invisible conspirators at work I don't think, well as far as the price of oil is concerned. But like I said earlier, barring any new discoveries which fundamentally affect the world's appetite for oil, I suspect oil will prolly return to the 70 to 80 dollar levels, if not higher. There simply is too much money floating albeit locked away at the moment in risk averse assets, but once all the chinks in the system have been ironed out, these monies hopefully will be freed up. |
