ShopRite remits money back to their country and they pay taxes to SA government. They also further business interests from money made especially in Nigeria. Insurance will not cover the scale of losses incurred so they will ask for tax break. There by affecting SA economy. Everything has a ripple effect. Worst for SA is that they have more sophisticated and expensive organizations than other African countries. What do we have in SA? Small small shops. So the damage to them is worse.
