Politics › Re: Igbo Would Have Been President If They Understood Nigerian Politics – Igbokwe by omoharry(f): 9:12am On May 24, 2017

It is that ignorance that fuels the IPOB agenda. A typical igbo man is an " intelligent idiot". Very good in trade, very good in opportunity, very good educationally, very rich in customs, yet very individualistic. When you reason with some , very similar to these IPOB idiots who roam around these parts, you will realise you are talking to a person who is politically daft., who in 30 seconds will mention buhali, buhali , buhali so many times that you marvel if he is under a spell. He will be unable to have any real political discourse with you on any issue.

the igbos can't compete politically in the nigerian structure and thus think it easier to form a biafra wwith minority groups they can dominate.
what you just did is stereotype..it not good.I am not Igbo but do not group an entire ethnic group and paint them with one colour..Are you with out any blemishes?..if you can think like this, then i will assume you got this negative information from bad parental and environmental upbringing...you don't like this people but you people wont let them go..what manner of people are you guys...I feel sorry for you..your heart is filled up with so much hate that you don't think they are capable of partaking in leadership of the same country you are forcing them to stay in..slave and master relationship!!..this is the bane of the black race..that is why we are seen as the scum of the earth before other race of the world.

Oh while I'm at it, IPOB was one of the fastest growing radio during GEJ era hence the reason they were at to boycott the election in both SE and SS they claimed go have high listeners. Finally, your illiterate leader Buhari increased their population by single handily bringing more attention to the group. There was a reason GEJ ignored every thing from Nnamdi Kanu despite the multitude of insults he berated at both him, NOI and pretty much every igbo in GEJ Administration. Buhari like the illiterate that he is came into picture, decided to play macho man and single handily jumped up an already successful group to the fastest growing group in Nigeria now. Thank you Buhari for his illiteracy and stop trying to use his presidency as an excuse.

Oh why you calling hypocrites when you yoruba are exactly that. From your own fucking mouth, you stated "yoruba were the ones that asked restructured first" yet when Buhari came into picture and your sibling is the VPN, immediately yoruba became the biggest antagonist against anyone asking or wishing for restructure. Now that the north is dealing with una and treating your VPN and the rest of your leaders as mere rags, all of a sudden, Yoruba don join the restructure bandwagon again. Yet you dare ca others hypocrites. At least Igbo have always msintained the fight for biafra and not once, have thay changed. But for yoruba, when things aren't favoring una,,you screech "south unity and restructure" bUT when you think it's favoring una, you became the guard dog of Nigerian existence as it is right now. common get out of my face.
That was well ..but please always have it in mind that there are two set of yorubas' and their stand toward restructuring .The AFENERE'S had always supported restructuring which they stood by, that was why they supported GEJ, not because they consider him better than Buhari but because he was able to give restructuring a chance but the Tinubu faction who were once pro-restructuring got greedy and rejected it because of their greed for power, thinking they would partner with the north(who are Anti-restructuring) to marginalized the rest of the south for their selfish and self centered benefit..but Karma is a bitch isn't it?now their oga is back with his tail in between his legs to join the train of restructuring.. so please always remember that it was only the APC Yorubas/Tinubus followers that rejected restructuring and not the entire ethnic group.

I know I will probably get attacked here but why are the Igbos now suddenly asking for Biafra and Restructuring after the GEJ Administration that favoured them with appointments etc. It is known Yoruba's were the first set of people to clamour for Restructuring.

They never asked for this during GEJ era, it is now that Buhari's administration is not really favouring them they are now clamouring for Restructuring and Biafra.

Not that restructuring is not the answer but why are they suddenly clamouring for it now?
YOU Talk as if you are not a Nigerian...oo! maybe you are an Hausa/Fulani that is considered as the first class citizen over others..well, oga Nigeria is not moving forward rather we are are going backward. The clamor for restructuring have been there, that was why GEJ convened the 2014 National conference....we are tired of this sick administration where every state will do nothing but to collect handout from Abuja every month..are you not tired? even if you are benefiting from this sick administration while hundred are dying of hunger and oppression because of the centralized system of government then continue enjoy it while it last.Must everything to you be about politics?...what about Nigeria and Nigerian first...what about that..is APC AND PDP more important than Nigeria and what is best for her?

grin grin grin Igbo, first settlers in Ile-Ife—Igwe Achebe
Achebe said the Igbo society existed beyond what Achebe recorded in his books, disclosing that a recent history book has ascribed to the Igbo as the original settlers in Ile-Ife and whom Oduduwa met, other than the present contest between the Ife and the Ugbo sections in Yoruba land.
No oga that was not what he meant..first settlers means that the first non Yoruba group to have settled in ile ife..but i dont know if that is true oo!

Trust me War will break out if Nigeria divide and me am not ready to lose loved ones or even haters sef. There will inevitable ethic/religious war and another strong War between us Niger Deltans. Infact the hatred Niger Deltan have for themselves is worst than that An Hausa man has for and Igbo man. The truth is bitter. One Nigeria is the only way forward. Bliv it or not. If we divide our generation is doomed. Nigeria right now is only damaged and you and I are the only ones who can repair her come 2019. It's time youth take over. French president elected is just 39 yrs old.
No body is talking about division but restructuring( but if the north refuses and still want to remain in this sick system then the south will take a walk) ...are you saying we should continue this under this faulty federal system where nothing is happening?..no matter how good a leader is ..he cannot do much because of the central system of govt..we need to decentralize to the state and local govt level..all federating state can still remain but will now be in charge of their resources in their state( the state government and not the people) and pay some part to the center.. by so doing people will not be looking up to Abuja for any thing that goes wrong in their state.but would rather hold their state govt accountable..As for Delta state( which is also my state) well if the people continue to put more emphasis on land and what they would get out of it rather than seeing it as a collective asset for the people of Delta state then Investors and development will continue to elude that state till they all come to their senses.Right now Warri is a ghost of itself because of the wickedness and hostility of the people towards investors...

Politics › Nothing Must Happen To Fani-kayode, South/middle Belt Group Replies North Read by omoharry(op): 10:00am On May 22, 2017
Youths under the aegis of Southern and Middle Belt Allied Youths (SAMBAY) have replied their northern counterparts over the alleged threat the Arewa Youth Forum (AYF) issued against a former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, warning that nothing must happen to the Ex-Minister. A statement jointly signed by Fidelis Ujah (Middle Belt), Onyema Ukachukwu (South East) and Mustapha Olasubomi (South West) after an emergency meeting on Sunday warned that the Ex-Minister must not be intimidated for making a critique of the current All Progressives Congress, APC-led government. The group said it knows that it is the AYF that is pursuing purely selfish interests by insisting that power must remain in the north when their definition of “north” has clearly over the years excluded the middle belt region. The meeting was called by the group to discuss the alleged threats that, according to it, have not only been issued by what it termed northern elements against Femi Fani-Kayode but also against the other parts of the country in recent times as regards permutations for 2019.

It also wondered why Arewa would think it can continue to deceive the Middle Belt to curry their support when it needs political power but would immediately abandon them afterwards. “We wonder where these Arewa Youths have been all this while that their cousins, the Fulani herdsmen terrorists, have been killing citizens with impunity in Benue, Nasarawa, Plateau and such other states. They never condemned them because they do not see people from these parts as one of them except for election purposes. Even in Southern Kaduna that is further up north, indigenes were killed without these Arewa saying anything. “We find their silence on these issues most reprehensible and signs of deep-seated hatred for other parts of the country.

“It is based on this that we have come together to say NEVER will we allow anything untoward to happen to Chief Femi Fani-Kayode who has been speaking up for us and our people against the tyranny and despotism of the Buhari administration and his Hausa/Fulani disciples.

“We have lost more people in the South and the Middle Belt in the two years under Buhari than we have done since 1999 to May 2015. Do we allow Arewa and their threats to those who defend and speak up for us pass unchallenged or do we stand up to them and say enough is enough? Our people have chosen the latter. “For the avoidance of doubt, we want to make it categorically clear that under no circumstances shall we allow anyone no matter who they think they are to threaten Fani-Kayode. Nothing must happen to him or any member of his family. “We call on the law enforcement agencies to take notice of such needless threats from AYF as we are more than ready to respond adequately and commensurately to any action the Arewa Youths might be planning to take. “Enough is enough!” The statement concluded.

The problem in Nigeria is selfishness and self-centeredness..This disease cut across all tribe from the Yoruba's to the Igbos as well as the Hausa. As long as a policy favour their own tribe then the rest and go to hell without any consideration of how they would feel if they happens to be in the same shoes as such tribe..the black man is always dark in his heart and ready to pull one another down so that he will feel superior just to make them feel better. This is the reason why Nigeria as well as the black continent is backward...because of our wicked ways...When Fulani Herd men were killing other tribe the Yoruba's turned their face the other way(Excluding FFK and Fayose) but when the fire came to their door step the same people felt the pinch and were looking for solidarity..you cannot eat your cake and have it and think other tribes are foolish..Senator Ashafa is actually a true reflection of how the typical Nigeria reason along ethnic line.

Hmmm...call me superstitious but I suspect witchcraft is involved. May their souls rest in peace.

This story actually reminds me of a girl that used to rent a room at my sister's house. She graduated one December, went home for the holidays & died on the 2nd week of January. The story we heard from her brother is that she went to town on the afternoon & got a call to come for a job interview on a specific date. She got home, found her mom sitting with a neighbour outside & she excitedly shared the news with them. Later that evening they say she complained of a headache. They sent the brother to go buy her Grandpa (a headache powdery substance). The brother said when he returned, she was much worse & was hallucinating. They called the ambulance, but sadly she died on the way to hospital. The postmortem results came back saying a vein in her head ruptured. What a coincidence for her to have a ruptured vein on the day she got that fateful call undecided

Politics › The Mendacities Of The Apostles Of Corpsocracy And The “return” Of The Chibok Gi by omoharry(op): 4:39pm On May 09, 2017
They say that nothing is hidden under the sun. In God’s time and by the power of His word and glorious light, all things that were hidden shall be made known and the sun of truth shall shine forth brightly dismantling the web of mendacity and deceit and displacing the cruel darkness.

The issue of President Buhari’s health, the enthronement of corpsocracy and the deep conspiracy and growing concerns about the issue of the Chibok girls and the circumstances of their purported release is making waves and generating a high degree of uncertainty, cynicism, skepticism, angst and tension in the country.

For example an anonymous contributor who has deep reservations and grave concerns about the narrative that the Federal Government is engendering wrote the following: “We keep warning you to KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE BALL but you are all easily distracted by the circus show they throw at you. Like his Friday-FRAUD circus appearances, EFCC discoveries, arrests of critics, etc.. But think critically. If a captain was killed few days ago and other soldiers were killed and wounded, how could the same group that killed them release 82 girls? They said Abubakar Shekau was fatally wounded and his deputy killed in an air strike. How will he, who is wounded, release his captives? The Federal Government told the world that they are afraid the girls are no longer in Sambisa. That they have been either killed, sold or scattered. How was it so easy to bring out 82 at once? Why are the girls ONLY released in May or October, when there is a major event coming-like the Democracy Day or Independence Day? THINK ABOUT IT: THEY KNOW HOW YOU ALL THINK AND REACT. THEY KNOW THAT YOU ARE ALL GULLIBLE, SO THEY TWIST YOUR MINDS. In truth, it’s all part of the plan but the challenge was Buhari’s sickness. It took them unawares. They didn’t plan for it or for the the loop holes that you see showing in their propaganda. He is suffering for the lies, deceit and the blood-letting that he supports. By the time God is done with him, his type will never spring up again. FOCUS ON THE BALL. BUHARI IS THE BALL AND NIGERIA IS THE FIELD. THAT’S WHAT THEY WANT TO TAKE: HER AND HER CHILDREN TO BE THEIRS. May 29 is around the corner and since there will be no achievement to talk about in the Democracy Day broadcast, they have decided to ask their co-conspirators to release some of the girls to decieve gullible Nigerians that that is their primary achievement. The whole thing is nonsense!” Strong sentiments indeed. Yet the author reflects the thinking of many. For example when asked about his views on the purported return of the 82 Chibok girls, my friend and brother, the discerning, irrepressable and courageous Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state, said the following: “the government is flying dubious kites and selling cheap dummies to distract the people. What is NOT missing cannot be found. Discerning Nigerians understand that the stories do not add up. Right now, a matter of urgent national importance arresting the attention of all and sundry is that of the President’s health. While I continue to pray, in conjunction with other Nigerians, for the President’s quick recovery, I condemn without equivocation this shameless playing on the intelligence and psyche of Nigerians taking undue advantage of the vexed issue of the so-called Chibok girls. It has become the style of this government to distract attention but the truth will be told some day. The questions are: which Chibok girls are they talking about? Chibok girls who purportedly were writing Physics WAEC examinations but cannot speak simple English? Chibok girls who were shielded from the media? Till today the media have not been allowed access to the so-called Chibok girls. When is the next batch of Chibok girls coming? When is the next make-believe? When there is the need for another cover-up, distraction and diversion of the people’s attention and focus, they will fly their usual kite and sell the self-same jaded dummy. It is very unfortunate that we brought ourselves to this sorry pass”. This is an insightful, concise and effective articulation and it can hardly be faulted. The suspicion with which most people view the Buhari administration and the unprecedented level of skepticism and cynicism that exists about their assertions and claims is indeed food for thought. One cannot dismiss the concerns of the skeptics lightly because many questions still have to be answered. For example it appears very strange to me that every time the Buhari administration has major issues and they need a distraction a new batch of Chibok girls are suddenly released. Two days ago the leader of Boko Haram, Mr. Abubakar Shekau, mocked and insulted Buhari and now he suddenly releases 82 Chibok girls? It appears to me that this is most unlikely! This begs the question: WHERE were these girls kept and WHO kept them? WHY are they not being allowed to see their parents? WHY have none of them been allowed to speak to the press? WHAT were the specific conditions of their purported release? There are so many questions that are yet to be answered.

Meanwhile a list of names of the 82 girls have been released to the public showing that most of them are Christians yet curiously, as Aisha Yusuf, one of the convenors of the Bring Back Our Girls Campaign (BBOG), told AIT News at 8.00pm on the night of May 7th, “No parent has been allowed to see the released Chibok Girls and this is worrisome: no parent has identified any because the Government would not grant them access”. This seems stranger than fiction. Have the girls become ‘government propety’ now? If so what are the terms and what is the purpose? Equally strange is the fact that we have been told that they were kept in frightful and barbarous captivity in the hideous, barren and demon-infested Sambisa forest and other playgrounds and jungles of the murderous vampires called Boko Haram for the last three years and that they have been held captive in the cruel clutches of sadistic and battle-hardened Islamist terrorists, barbaric paedophiles, genocidal maniacs, sexual deviants, sociopathic perverts, bloodthirsty pyschopaths, serial rapists and degenerate coprophiliacs yet they all looked well-fed, well-oiled, well-kept and, in most cases, plump and fat with shining smooth skins. One wonders what type of food the Haramites were feeding their young captives because whatever it was ought to be shared with the unfortunate children that are suffering hell in the Federal Govermment-funded Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps of north-eastern Nigeria.

It would certainly do them a world of good. The whole thing is all the more curious when one considers the fact that the 21 Chibok girls that were previously released have not, up until today, been returned to their families or their commnunity. Why is this so? The question must be asked: what the hell is going on? Clearly we are being played for fools. And we have now been informed that these beautiful young mannequins and damsels were swapped in return for huge sums of money and five hardened and battle-tested Boko Haram commanders. If this is the case the Nigerian people have a right to know exactly the amounts of money involved and the details and names of the commanders that have now been returned to lead the happy gathering of the ever-faithful, all-powerful and stupendously rich Islamist and Salafist Mujahadeen. Ambassador Babagana Kingibe and Alhaji Mamman Daura: over to you! Even though journalists were barred from witnessing the event or entering the Presidential Villa on that day, I am glad that pictures and footage of the Presidents meeting with the Chibok girls were released to the public. And those pictures and that footage, taken from a safe distance by the Presidents handlers and staff and not by enquiring and inquisitive journalists, tell quite a story.

The truth is that the whole thing stinks to high heavens. There is a rotting fish and a dead rat, combined, dispensing a compelling, overpowering, ungodly and unholy odour from somewhere under the floorboards of Aso villa. We are told that the President travelled to London immediately after the event. Let us hope that he will come back home hale and hearty though somehow I doubt he will. I doubt that things will ever be the same again for him. I suspect that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo may be Acting President for quite some time and within the year he may well be sworn in as substantive President. Let us wait and see. The truth is that if the objective of the whole “return of the 82 Chibok girls” exercise was to distract Nigerians from the numerous challenges of our Government and our ailing President it has not worked very well. We are glad that Buhari was at the mosque on friday. We are also glad that he received the 82 Chibok girls and travelled to the United Kingdom for more treatment albeit for an indefinate period of time on sunday.

However we hereby reiterate our call for him to resign honorably and go and take care of his health permanently. Hanging around and appearing on fridays at the mosque for a photo-shoot and a short prayer with his friends and staff was never going to be enough. If the plan is for him to go away for a few weeks and then return to start that puerile rubbish all over again it is not going to work. He is not the Chief Imam of the Villa: he is the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. And we the people say NO to corpsocracy! There is no place in our constitution for the rulership of the living by the dead.

Now if anyone has any doubts about the seriousness of Buhari’s situation and ailment I urge them to zoom in on the picture of him taken on friday whilst he was walking through the Villa external corridor just before going to the mosque. I am referring to the one in which he was flanked by his National Security Advisor, Babagana Monguno and his Chief of Staff, my old Cambridge University colleague, Abba Kyari. Take a close look at his hand and cheeks in that picture. They are swollen beyond the norm. It appears that he was put on steroids just so that he could come out for the mosque. Again it appears that he is suffering from dementia. Worse still he can barely walk for long stretches without being propped up and, according to my sources, he drawls and sometimes dribbles when he speaks. It is sad and pitiful. No man should be forced to go through that and be displayed before the world in such a condition simply for political purposes.

All those that were around him on friday as he was walking to pray to his god looked like hungry and desperate wolves whilst he looked like the willing and gentle sacrificial lamb. This is God’s judgement and it is terrifying and humbling. We must not gloat and we must not ridicule him. Rather we must all learn from it and fear the Lord of Hosts and the Ancient of Days. The Bible says “it is a frightful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God”. And so it is. The President attracts nothing but pathos. He looks like a fallen character from a Shakesperean tragedy. He is a rejected and broken soul: a ghost and a shell of his former self. He needs to be pitied and he should be allowed to resign and to go home and rest in peace. Yet whatever Buhari chooses to do we must always remember that rebellion against a tyrant is an act of obedience to God. They may have today but tomorrow belongs to us. Opposition to corpsocracy, subjugation, internal colonialism, slavery, religious bigotry, persecution, injustice, dehumanisation, the Apostles of hate and the evil cabal that have birthed and nurtured these vices is a divine injunction because the bible says we must “resist evil”. Our struggle is not just political. It is ideological. It is fundamental. It is spiritual. It is deep and it is far-reaching. We do not just want to change the leadership of this country.

We want to restructure and redefine the whole nation. We want to pull down the entire system and rebuild a new country. Corpsocracy or no corpsocracy, that is our mission and that is the calling of our generation. That is the battle that we need to fight and the war that we must win. Permit me to conclude this contribution with the words of Mr. Opeyemi Agbaje, a financial consultant, a writer and a public commentator. He wrote, “As we advocate compassion and prayers for Buhari at this time, I would also like us to reflect on the fate of the hundreds or thousands of people killed by Fulani herdsmen, the hundreds of Shiites killed in Zaria and other places in the north, the many biafran demonstrators murdered in the eastern towns and many other recent victims of state sponsored and tolerated killings. They need compassion too!” These are precisely my sentiments. God be with us all.

Politics › Delta Speaker Backs Okowa On Rejection Of Grazing Reserves Bill by omoharry(op): 2:59pm On May 02, 2017
Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Mr. Monday Igbuya, has supported the recent statement by the state governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, on the decision by the people of Delta State not to support the Federal Government-sponsored Grazing Reserves Bill. Executive Assistant on Communication to the Governor of Delta State, Mr Fred Oghenesivbe, quoted the Speaker as saying that all over the world, there was no country where the Federal Government hides under legislation to forcefully acquire grazing reserves for farmers and herdsmen. He said: “Those sponsoring the bill for grazing reserves in Nigeria are on their own. Delta State is not part of that retrogressive and politically motivated legislation. It is an anti- democracy, anti-people legislation and it openly infringes on the fundamental rights of our citizens by compelling them to vacate their lands for Fulani herdsmen.

GOVERNOR Ifeanyi Okowa “Our position in Delta State is very clear. Our state governor, Dr Okowa, made it abundantly clear over the weekend that Deltans and the state government are not party to the Federal Government sponsored grazing reserves and that is our collective position. “As the Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, I can categorically tell you that my colleagues are on the same page with the governor, that is why I am corroborating what our governor told the world over the weekend. No grazing reserves in Delta State, period. “What is acceptable is for the Fulani herdsmen to lawfully acquire lands for grazing in line with what is obtainable in other democratic societies.

“The APC Federal Government is playing on the intelligence of the Nigerian people and at the same time making mockery of democracy through the sponsorship of the Grazing Reserves Bill. “The herdsmen are businessmen who rear cattle and sell them for profit. It is, therefore, immoral and against the principles of natural justice for the Federal Government to hide under any legislation to unduly favour Fulani herdsmen to the detriment of land owners across the country.” “We are no longer going to tolerate any stray movements of cattle across the state.

The Herdsmen must find a way of doing their business legitimately and without coercion, brutal killings, raping and destroying farmlands of our people in the name of grazing. “We are looking at the possibility of arresting owners of strayed cattle and prosecuting them once we are done with the legislation currently undergoing final stages. I am pretty sure that from next week this matter will be dealt with so as to restore law and order in the affected communities. “I must thank my colleagues especially, Evance Ivwurie for his proactive steps in ensuring that the House took up the matter with the urgency it deserved. His constituency (Ethiope East), has been in deep mourning for months unending especially in Abraka communities. The end of the heinous crimes by Fulani Herdsmen in Delta State is at sight,” Speaker Igbuya assured Deltans.

It will be recalled that several cases of brutal killings, raping and other criminal activities by Fulani Herdsmen has been on the increase in Delta State, particularly in Abraka communities. The sad news is that the police were yet to make any arrest, let alone prosecute the culprits. They move about in the streets in broad daylight with illegally acquired assault ruffles with which they kill people at random in Delta communities and elsewhere in the country.
