I stumbled on this video of two lover birds ( Owls ) and I was amazed at their social lives, which is so similar to humans . Then I started to ask myself why do we attack and kill these wonderful birds ?.
I didn't know owls are so responsible and dedicated to Thier partners and love ones.
If only all these broke guys on Nairaland, that have been bashing ladies up & down, becos they manage take a lady out on date and spent N5k, will not let us year word , can learn one or two things from these male owl. They should understand that life is what it is and must stop complaining about why women are always eager to be showered with love and affection by men who are capable of taking good care of them .

If you accept this job and you are issued a visa and your travel there,your passport will be collected from you by your employer immediately. You will be asked to sign a written contract in Arab language and you are mandated to sign it . By signing that contract ,you have automatically surrendered yourself as the property of your employer.
You cannot leave the country, unless he allows it. The law will not come to your aid if Ur employer turns out to be a monster or decide to sexually molest you . If you are unfortunate to end up with a bad employer , You will be worked non stop with little food and treated like a slave . Anything can happen to you and the law of the land will see you as a property of your employer. Your status will be like the modern day slave and master relationship.

You don't need guarantors form if it's renewal.
Just get the documents, apply online and go submit at their office. Then keep going back like 1week interval until you are done with capturing etc

So I'm back to thank the brains behind this DIY method for all the heads up and the assistance throughout my application process.

So I applied and paid for my passport online (26k) on the 1st of Feb and went to the NIS office on the 3rd cos I had to fill and stamp the guarantor's form before going there (spent a total of 1k, 5h to print the forms and buy file and all, and 5h for court stamp). I submitted my form on the 3rd, and my interview/capturing date was on the 10th (You guys remember that I came back to rant here that I couldn't capture on that day after spending the whole day there simply cos my guarantor's form has only one passport photograph).

So I went back on the 11th with the extra passport, and when it was almost my turn to capture, they complained about poor network. Since I had other things to do, I left the office and came bk on the 12th. Finally captured on the 12th, and was given a collection on the 18th. These guys suddenly started being nice after my capturing ooo. I ended up making a lot of friends that day and on my collection day... Went back on the 18th and was issued my passport within 5mins.

So I ended up spending approximately 27k, (as against 55k an agent told me, and gave me 14 days before collection) and less than two weeks (if you minus the two days delay they caused me) to get my passport.

My advice? They'll definitely try to ridicule you cos you applied online and won't fetch them money, but don't mind them. Stand your grounds and face whoever needs to be faced, they attend to you Las Las cos they value their jobs.!

PS: I applied for fresh issue(32 pages, 5yrs) and in Portharcourt.

I want to renew my passport but I don't understand this guarantor form becos I did not use it in my previous passport. Does that mean I will download this form online and give a friend or a family member to fill and sign for me ?

Update: Just came back from NIS Ikoyi and the passport officers said It should be ready for collection next week hopefully.

The wrote AA on my slip as passport status. Honestly, Nigerians are not making the system work. Even the officials want bribes. They are not expecting anyone to do it themselves. All the officers were surprised that I did it myself without using any officers.
