Politics › Re: Nigerian Youths Reason Poorly by omoharry(f): 10:49pm On Nov 02, 2020
IamPlato:
You have been running your mouth like a river since you entered this post.
Let me ask you, did you protest? Why did you protest? Is it because celebrities instigated it or because you felt determined and sure that it was the right thing to do?

You have been criticizing my post without saying anything meaningful or providing a plan for Nigeria to use. You are probably waiting for celebrities to tell you what next to do.

You said I should take what is in my book and put it to practise because you didn’t know that I have already done that….

I posted an audio on my YouTube channel some days ago about starting a movement determined to help bring change, the video had thousands of views but very few responded and were ready to be a part of the change.. The question is why did others listen and walk away because none of them is ready to make the change they shout.

Let me shock you, I sent messages to your celebrities including Falz, I drafted a formal letter officially explaining and asking them to join a movement that is ready to act on what it is saying, I drafted an official letter in PDF and sent, those I couldn’t get their emails I sent them a message requesting a session to discuss a movement to bring change.

Not a single one of them replied the email or messages sent…

You are all hypocrites, you speak out in public but inside you you know you are not ready to act or take the bold step…

I had a few guys who were ready to make that step and they contacted me immediately but the movement will not fly out if there are no persons of strong influence like celebrities but unfortunately none of them replied that email.

You are no different from them so don’t come into my mention to embarrass your generation with your ignorance…

We live in a country where the government sees Nigerians not as citizens but as subjects, prisoners, expendable tools, in other to break free you have to think like a government not like a citizen.

Over the years while you were busy making plans for your life and jumping from one boyfriend to another I was busy studying the Nigerian government and their tactics. If you wish to beat the masters you must understand the game as they do.

Unfortunately the youths are clueless about how the government operates and wins its battle… .

Next time when you don’t know, kindly shut up and watch… good bye
I can see you also have passion for a better Nigerians, so are many Nigerian youth too . I know you wanted us to see what Desmond said from another angle but your approach was quite harsh ..
Please do remember that Desmond Elliot is a politician and he will say what other politicians would want to hear .. This same Desmond Elliot supported & justified the reasons for God fatherism in politics during the battle of Oshomole & Obaseki in Edo state. He is one of them now and he has never sponsored any bill that is for the masses and yet he is a youth .

Since you are equally passionate about this movement of yours, why don't you approach this issue diplomatically, where you can allow people to see the message you are trying to pass across, instead of going on a head-on collision with the youth .What you did was to open this thread for further hostility from thesame youth to are trying to pass across your message to..

Your thread look like a youth bashing one. And you expect them to read it without coming after you with virtual knives and dagger in hand ?

Initially,I thought you were one of those regular paid agent, until I read the part where you stated of your interest and passion for the youth to form a movement .
Regarding that, I think many youth are also thinking in that line ..After the protest ,there is this consciousness of getting our PVC and forming either a party or to come under one umbrella to enable the youth to speak with one voice through thier vote..This means that if we manage to have a very good number of block vote from the youth across the country then we can start having our power over these politicians, thier thugs and market women they pay to vote for them.
If we could only be united in dertermining who to vote for without allowing our usual prejudice to get in the way, then, that will be a weapon against all our corrupt politicians . This movement will also strategize on how to protect our vote during and after election just like what happened in Edo state .
Finally, the man who you are supporting & abusing this same oppressed & brutalized citizens for, does not even fight for you, so why are you fighting for him? Except you are a family member..then I can understand .

That Nigerian youth are daft ? Naaa! I think not but that we have some stupid online trolls that do not reason before typing rubbish? , yes there are many online and even here on Nairaland and a big pain in the ass some times. Forget what you read online and look at what our youth are doing in the real world. It will tell you that our youth are not daft or too shallow to comprehend

Finally , just take a look at the last ENDSARS protest .it was one of the most organized protest in Nigeria before it was hijacked by paid thugs.it shows we are intelligent ,organized and more cordinated than our stupid old fools that call themselves our leaders .Peace .

Politics › Re: 2023 Presidency: Groups In 21 States Root For El-rufai by omoharry(f): 3:29pm On Oct 31, 2020
Intelcorei7:
The Nassiriya Organization in 21 states of the federation has vowed to leave no stone unturned in its resolve to drag the Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasiru Ahmad El- Rufa’i into the 2023 presidential race.
Speaking to journalists in Kaduna, the National Leader of the Nassiriya Movement and Zonal Vice Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in the Northwest, Dr. Garkuwa Ibrahim Babuga, said already preparations were on top gear to drag El- Rufa’i to court over his insistence on not interested to contest for the presidency in 2023.
Babuga said they had no option than to approach the court because they had spoken to the governor on the issue but he had declined their request.
“We are ready to go up to the Supreme Court,” he said.
“We also met his parents and relations but we’ve not gotten a successful answer. We have to go to court. Nigeria is for El-Rufa’i in 2023. El-Rufa’i is fit to be President based on his track records of achievements.
“Many people are yearning for the El-Rufa’i Presidency. I don’t have to overblow the trumpet, you all have seen his developmental strides in the FCT and in Kaduna state. He is the best person for the Villa in 2023.
“Let’s continue to be loyal and support President Buhari to complete his tenure. But El-Rufa’i as President and successor to Buhari will further unite Nigeria.
“We are appealing to our elders in the North, please forget party differences, we should join forces and rally round El-Rufa’i so that he contest and win the presidency.
“Although he did not answer our call, we are going to court so as to compel El-Rufa’i to vie for the number one seat in Nigeria.
“On the 2nd of November, 2020 we are going to Court 13 here in Kaduna. Our lawyer is Barrister El-Zubair,” he said.
On Governor El-Rufai’s alleged assertion in the media that he was in support of a president from the south come 2023, the leader of Nassiriya Organization said that was El-Rufai ‘s opinion at that moment.
“It was his opinion. All we are looking for now is to drag him into the race. El-Rufa’i will be the best Nigerian President in 2023 by the grace of Allah,” he said.

El-Rufai is a fanatic just like Buhari.. Are we cursed to always suggest stupid leaders to rule us ? What is wrong with us as a people ? The SW is busy throwing in a thief and former drug deal (Tinubu ) in the ring while the Nothern region is eyeing Mallam El-rufai.Sey we are ok upstairs ?

Just imagine the Pako this our able senator boldly called a bridge; with his sign post boldly placed the side ..This are the kind of project our young NYSC guys will do and people will applaude them for a project we'll done from thier merger allowance as a contribution to the community they are serving. Nnamdi Kanu is not willing to die for a course he started but you On the other hand, is willing to die for it. What does that tell you ? It means he love his life so much that he cannot sacrifice it for the actualization of BIAFRA. But he is comfortable in a foreign land to incite your kind against another ethnic group, so that when the crisis start, he will be watching from the comfort of his room . He knows how to put your life on the line for something he does not even have the liver to do. Does that look like a leader to you ?

He is a coward and a loose nut .You guys should look for another leader that will be on ground to lead and ready to die for what he believe in .

Before the country resort to war, I believe the issue of restructuring of the country should be brought to the table once again .Dem sey fly wey nor hear word, nai dey follow dead body dey enter grave . The core North should make hey while the sun shines .the country is already on edge.
War is a very bad thing and no body should ever experience it in thie life time. You all shouting war war up & down ,will you be on ground when the it start ? Do you know the devastation of lives & properties that it will cause ? Do you know if you will live to see the end of it ? We are taking about a situation where the dead are littered on the street and decent burial will be a luxury ..

I would rather the whole south demand for the republic of southern Nigeria than engage in war . The MD region can to join the south if they wish to ( inside the This republic, there must be a section for a referendum, so that the south east can leave if they wish to without any prejudice)
This is if all areas of fixing this country has been exhausted without any headway .
War is the last thing that should be in our mind.
I support restructuring but if that does not work, then the greater south should demand for a division peacefully from the core North, instead of going to war with them. But that does not mean we will fold our hand and do nothing when they decide to draw the first blood .In this case then, the fight will be done in thier region and not in the south ..but God forbid that we resort to that without exhausting all options available to us .

IamD18:
The likes of Desmond Elliot, Yahaya Bello and Elisha Abbo have so many times proven the fact that an average Nigerian youth is no different from the old men in the Government.

They've so many times proven that corruption in Nigeria isn't just about our aged politicians but a general thing.

We saw how our various SUG officials operated in school, how coursereps, lodge presidents and the rest operated. We all saw the corruption there. If you think this generation will politically do better than this current aged politicians, then you are clueless.

An average Nigerian is tribalistic, oppressive, selfish and corrupt. It's in almost all the sectors in this country and it'll take decades for this country to be free from the aforementioned.

Know this and know peace.

And just so you know; 98.485% of Nigerians condemning Desmond Elliot will do the same, they'll rather choose the interest of their political mentors and Godfathers who will politically help and connect them than the interest of the masses.
You are right ..In essence, what this means is that, we we are in a hopeless situation becos we all reason alike .May God help Nigeria

And again, why are you guys fixated on the North? Are they the only ones the oil money gets to? As an example,do you know that the South East's government is more dependent on federal allocation than any other region? Do you know that Lagos and Abuja are the only sustainable states in the country. So why is your fixation always on the North undecided as if they're the only ones "chopping" your oil money.
That is why it is called south east ..It means they are part of the greater south .The country is divided between the North & South .The South reason alike and the North have their one way of reasoning .The south & core North do not have the same ideology in anyway.

I beg to defer with you on that .The south is the one feeding the North..thier leaders receive free money from the proceeds of the oil from the south , that is why they are Lazy.
On the other hand, the North makes available a bulk of the agricultural produce in Nigeria , which the South purchase with thier money and everyone is happy.
The North has never fed the south for free at any point in time in the history of Nigeria .
