Hello all, with the new CIC regulations, is it possible and legal for an international student to work in Canada when on leave of absence from school? What are the possible options available for one who can not raise tuition for second semester after taken first semester and would love to raise the cash in Canada?

Note: My sponsor stated in his sponsorship letter that he promised to fund my master’s degree in any Uni of my choice when he learnt that I graduated one of the best in my Uni and that he will make available to me a minimum of N6m which is about USD30k (my total expenses plus flight is about N4.9m).
My daughter’s total expenses plus flight is about N1.9m compared to the N4.5m in hubby’s personal account.

Definetely yes. He said the fetus screening is carried out within 12 to 16 weeks of pregnancy and when established that the fetus is SS or have any other disorder, the fetus will be aborted. According to him, such abortion is legal

It is no news that couples with both genotype AS have a probability of giving birth to SS children and as such are medically adviced not to get married. With the advancement in technology, grounds are been shifted on the issue of AS/AS getting married. I overheard a doctor counselling both AS partners to get married with the option of determining the genotype of their fetus before birth through CVS as this could help them not to give birth to SS children. I want to know ,
1.how effective is this CVS in Nigeria
2. What is the cost
3. Where can CVS be done in Nigeria effectively
4. Is it now medically adviceable for both AS patners to get married with this advancement in technology

Hello Xpensive, I doubt if ur CGPA will be competitive enough for admission.
For the mail stuff, my referees sent dias through normal yahoo nd gmail account and the reference were accepted.
NB: I was not given admision into MUN despite having a Second Class Upper in my undergraduate

I have read all necessary information from the school website and I wish to put in my application for winter semester admission. 1. I graduated with a second class lower in BIOCHEMISTRY (CGPA 2.77) from a state university here in Nigeria. Do you think I can be admitted for the master's program with my CGPA?

2. It was stated on the school website that academic reference letter must be sent via official staffs university email address. I'm sure my alma mata dont have official email for the lecturers. Is there any other i can go about the reference letter issh?

It all depends on how fast u need it delivered. my personal experience with NIPOST is REGUSTERED mails takes almost a month to be delivered while EMS SPEEDPOST takes more than two weeks. I think DHL is fast (about four working days to deliver) and costs about 13.8k

Hello house I just got this information from an agent that there is a new Canada policy that says that a student sponsor must only be his/her parents. That visa cannot he granted to a student with a third party sponsor EXCEPT they are his/her parents. Please people with adequate information should clarify.

Hello, takes about 4 to 6weeks depending on the program. I applied for PHD Eco and a friend did for Msc Agric biz. We got decisions in 4 and5 weeks respectively after submission of complete application package.
Just that I really do not know the basis of their decisions as per international students considering the fact that funding is involved. You can as well send a mail to your grad cordinator if it's taking longer than usual. For undergraduate studies,I do not have an idea. Hope this helps. All the best.

It doesn't matter, go wt your acknowledgment letter and ur certificate/NYSC callup letter or letter of appointment nd find an opportunity to submit.
Check d list if your name is pasted nd participate in the training ...

I just submitted my application for graduate studies and I ve emailed dem an unofficial trancript, my referees have also emailed dia letters using a letter headed paper. but all these ve nt bn marked received on my page. I am for Electronic systems

I asked him for update on my application, I've been in contact with him for some time though.

I also emailed him but he said all files are currently bn reviewed by admission comitte and decisions will b make late February

I e-mailed my departmental secretary, Nicole Parisi. He replied that my application is now closed. He added, I met the required minimum but my application was not competitive enough.
