@ debrief08 why are you so engulfed in this witch thing and slapping stuff? i think you need to deweed yourself of these contaminations. stick to the topic and let us learn from you. no one wants to be part of your agitated spirit. thank you.
FamilyRe: Where Are House Helps? by OmoPastor(op): 8:10pm On Feb 01, 2012
@ debrief08 were you a house help before cos i do not see any reason for the accusations and anger you are showing.
FamilyRe: Where Are House Helps? by OmoPastor(op): 8:02pm On Feb 01, 2012
I think education has played a major role in the scarcity of house helps these days. Every one wants to go to school no one wants to be slave to anyone any longer.
FamilyWhere Are House Helps? by OmoPastor(op): 7:32pm On Feb 01, 2012
Its becoming increasingly difficult to get house helps nowadays, what is happening? Even when you are fortunate to get one, you are not sure she will stay. Even your relatives you choose to live with you are no longer agreeing especially if you live in the north of nigeria.
Christianity EtcProsperity Declarations by OmoPastor(op): 4:18pm On Jan 31, 2012
God has given me the power to get wealth and to establish the covenant in my life that He had with Abraham, therefore i have a covenant of prosperity with God.

i abound in corn and wine, i dwell in glory and plenty because the Lord Jesus paid the prize for my prosperity. He became poor so that i through His poverty might be made rich.

i have entered into the incalculable, unfathomable, immesurable and the unsearchable riches of Christ. therefore, i reject poverty in its entirety! i refuse to lack because i was born into the life of abundance by the power of the Holy Spirit.

The Lord is my shephard, my bread provider and i shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside the still waters and restores my soul. my cup always run over.

to be continued

Christianity EtcRe: God's Wrath -- A Forgotten Doctrine by OmoPastor(m): 11:24am On Jan 30, 2012
@ frosbel
The late Francis Schaeffer remarked that if he had an hour to witness to a man he would never meet again, he would spend the first 45 minutes talking about sin, righteousness and judgment, and the last 15 minutes talking about the gospel message. That's a pattern we could all do well to follow. The gospel will never be truly Good News until people have first understood the Bad News that makes the Good News necessary.
as much as i agree with your post, there is a part i want you to consider. God's wrath is not forgotten in our days rather its the dispensation we are that has made it look so. this is the dispensation of grace where you are given enough room to consider the gift of eternal life and make your choice, here you are coerced into decision making:

2Pe 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

the grace window is gradually closing up and the wrath of God will soon be unleashed on the ungodly. God does not entertain ignorance here, this is the reason christians cannot keep quiet but must shout about the grace of God available to humanity and the unreserved love God has for them.

Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

there are people that think God is slow to act when it comes to iniquities but they are wrong cos the time is drawing very close when sin will reap its dividends.

@ poster, thanks a lot for this insightful information, God bless your heart.

FYI, I was born into a very deeply religious christian home
no wonder you are totally confused about what christianity is all about. religion does not save anyone!

when I was practicing born again back then
haba, dude, no one pratices being born again, its either you are or not. i think you must have been seriously twisted up in your religious background.

you didn't know anything about the religion and god you so much carry in your head today
and you think you do?

But I was able to find the truth about the sham in religion early enough which made me to be on the right path today.
but dude from your tone, you are in more trouble than you think. which right path are you sef?

The bible is a fairy tale book, so don't quote it to buttress any argument you want to put forward to me.
then there no need for any further discussion with you cos the bible is my reference for anything i may put forward to you.

thank you and bye!
Christianity EtcRe: Word Of Exhortation For A Bereaved Man, That Wants To Fight God. by OmoPastor(m): 6:37am On Jan 29, 2012
@ OP
the situation is understandable as the guy must be questioning why the tragedy happened to him.
i suggest you take good time praying for him that he'll be comforted by the Holy Spirit if he is born again before you met him but if he is not born again, he needs to embrace salvation before you pray for him. there may be many reasons unknown to him why thiese things happened to him but as you pray, the Holy Ghost will reveal them to you.
he cannot fight God, its childish and maybe still devastated by what happened.

on the other hand, why do some on this forum take serious matter for granted by making discomforting jokes, please go to the jokes section but here serious matters are discussed.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Do Some Find It Difficult To Give? by OmoPastor(op): 6:21am On Jan 29, 2012
@ pastor kun
Matthew 25:31-40 answers your first request whilst Acts 4:34-35 answers the second. I am browsing with my phone else I would have posted both scriptures here for all to see.
what the Master mean here in matt 25:31-40 is our personal relationship with other fellow believers, we should learn to accommodate other believers in our budget no matter how intangible it looks even as emphasized by apostle Paul:
Gal 6:10  As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
your every show of kindness to all men especially believers will not go un-noticed.
remember that what got these people in verse above into the kingdom was not the act of kindness but their belief in Jesus; as they were called righteous.
in acts 4:34-35 this was the beginning of the early church, notice that this act of selling stuff and bringing it to the apostles seem to be the first time it was mentioned and probably done in the new testament. this must have been the leading of the Holy Spirit as at then. furthermore, the apostles were seriously under the surveillance of the roman government and the Jews led by the high priest. they were always together in one place and many were rejected in the society cos they bought into the so called new movement which preached the risen Christ and ministry of the Holy Spirit which many Jews were angry at and looking for ways to kill. so it was the best practice then to share among the believers possessions they had. remember also that alms giving was and still a very strong tenet among the Jews. they thought salvation Jesus brought was only meant for the Jews which explained the reason they stuck to themselves in Jerusalem but God had a better plan for them. as at that time, the few believers then were only known through baptism and this kind of giving cos if you were baptised and had sold your stuff for the sake of the group, then you have totally become part of them as they had not been accepted by the society dominated by Judaism in those days.

remember, revelation is progressive, the ministry of the Holy Spirit is dynamic, never try to cage God in your mind, He can lead you in a new way but must not be contrary to the scriptures.

Christianity EtcRe: Should I Always Expect Blessings Each Time I Give To God? by OmoPastor(m): 12:30am On Jan 28, 2012
@ poster

giving yourself first is paramount and very important.

your giving is as a result of your love for God's kingdom so you must be blessed in various forms cos whenever you give, you activate something on your behalf.

your giving is a sacrifice that activates angelic interference on your behalf. nobody gives to God without being rewarded because it is a law: Luke 6: 38. giving does not only attract blessings to you but its an indication that you have overcome greed and that nothing is too big for you to release, what many people die trying to get is what you release out.

whenever you give, you exhibit your true nature which is the nature of your Father.
Christianity EtcHow Many Pastors Get Rich! by OmoPastor(op): 4:38pm On Jan 27, 2012
it has come to my notice that many people on this forum have the wrong notion about rich pastors. allow me help you.

there are genuine and fake pastors cos the devil will always fight what is genuine but their fruits will eventually distinguish them.

the genuine pastor is one called by God to lead His people in the work of the kingdom here on earth by feeding them and nuturing them through the ministry of the Word and Spirit.

Eph 4:11 - 13  And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

the pastors work is defined by God Himself. the wrong impression i want to wipe off is that a pastor called by God cannot be rich in this world. in fact pastors called by God are supposed to be the richest people in this world cos this is the only job whose employer is the monarch and owner of the universe; the boss' wealth is beyond any mans' wildest imagination.

a pastor called by God DOES NOT get rich from the offerings and tithes of the church! he can only be rich through his giving into the work of the kingdom. the world has changed a lot cos the way the gospel was preached 50yrs ago is not same today. now we have many avenues to preach the gospel which require heavy monies which tithes and offerings cannot cover, so if you are called by God and want to take world evangelisation up, then you must be loaded with cash for the work and this cannot come from offerings and tithes but from reckless seed sowing which will prompt men to give to you willingly.

if you want to know a real and serious pastor who is passionate about the work God has called him to do, then check his givings. many of the rich pastors you see today that are called by God are reckless givers who only see supernatural provisions than the tithes and offerings.

every MOG called of God is destined to be rich if he knows what to do. money is very vital in gospel propagation in todays world that is the reason the devil is fighting tooth and nail trying to taint true riches by raising fake pastors who are only after their belly and the wrath of God is on them as we speak.
Christianity EtcRe: How To Know If Your Pastor Is Fake. by OmoPastor(m): 3:55pm On Jan 27, 2012
@ poster
Mat 10:16  Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

Your pastor is fake if he is surrounded by bodyguards when he is preaching on the pulpit.
you are completely wrong! you need to understand that some people are so foolish that they literally walk into their destruction. the guard are there wade off the fools that dare to thread where angels dread. the MOGs most assured protection is from his Father who called him to work.

This means he does not give a hoot about God protecting him, why then would you listen to that man of fraud?
he never told you so. stop saying what you do not know. you can stop listening to them but some will not.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Do Some Find It Difficult To Give? by OmoPastor(op): 3:27pm On Jan 27, 2012
@ manmustwac
When you talk like this you give me the impression that your frustrated because your church business is doing bad.
well you are entitled to your opinion. i do not have a church business but am only concerned about the rising spate complaints about giving on this forum. irrepective of the negetivity being propagated here, giving is of utmost importance to a child of God. when you cease to give, you begin to die.

So I want to know are you a born again?
yes

How much of the tithes you collect do you give back to your community?
the distribution of the tithes by the pastor of a church is as directed by the Holy Spirit as well as making the work progress as led. if the leading is to help the community as at the time, then you go ahead and do it but if its to conquer more lands for the gospel, you just go ahead. there are various ways the tithes can be used as stipulated by the Holy Ghost.
one time during the independence day celebrations, i saw a church on TV, i think it was Christ Embassy that renovated a school, gave computers to prison training arm, bought vehicles for the police as community service which is commendable but this may not have been done using the tithe cos there must be a direction by the Holy Spirit on how the tithes must be used.

Or do you just keep your tithes for your own personal use?
no pastor called and led by God keeps the tithe for his own personal use. the pastor CANNOT be enriched by taking what belongs to God, the pastor can only be enriched through his own giving.

Omo Sir, are the bolded the only ways of giving (you know about)? If that is the case, you are amongst all men most misguided.
these are only popular few ways of giving, so am not misguided.

When you talk about giving first thing that should come to your mind is how do i give? This question would naturally prompt you to search the bible on how giving (which appeals to God) is done and follow suite.
thank you very much, this is really good stuff.

@ pastor kun
my grouse with the OP is that contrary to the teachings of Jesus and the apostles the focus of giving in the post was the man made church structure and not the poor and the needy which is the emphasis of christian giving.
support your claim with the scriptures and i will tell you more

Even church collections is also partly meant to assist those in need but this practise is almost extinct in our churches today
give me evidence from the bible.

False brethen like 'omopastor' manipulate scriptures for their selfish motive to get people to give to them and their so called churches.
and you are what? where have i manipulated the scriptures for my selfish motive? do you think pastors called of God live off your monies? who deceived you?
Christianity EtcRe: Why Do Some Find It Difficult To Give? by OmoPastor(op): 2:45pm On Jan 25, 2012
the first thing a man must give to God is himself

2Cor. 8:5 And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.

if you have truly given yourself to Him, parting with your substance is very easy.

@ pastor kun
you should know when serious matters are being discussed. stop calling names and contribute reasonably or else do not talk. this thread is not for abusive fellows who will not make good contributions.
Christianity EtcWhy Do Some Find It Difficult To Give? by OmoPastor(op): 2:31pm On Jan 25, 2012
Why do some christians find it difficult to part with their monies?

If they are truly born again, giving should not be strange or difficult to them!

They find it difficult to pay tithe, sow seeds or give their first fruits huh

a good way to judge a man is by what he says
a better way is by what he does
the best way is by what he gives!

Giving is a proof that you have conquered greed!

The test of your generousity is not necessarily how much you give but how much you have left.

Anyone that fights giving does not know who God is.
Christianity EtcRe: Donate To The Poor And Needy Not Pastors tithe by OmoPastor(m): 1:58pm On Jan 25, 2012
Lets not go off point.

Who is the poor? Is it the guy without money or the guy with impoverished mentality? Poverty is a spiritual incapacitation which results in a man's disability to produce anything from his spirit. Man is a spirit, he has a soul and lives in a body. when your spirit is disbled, rendered handicapped, distressed; you become poor.

Show me one place in the bible where Jesus gave money or materials to the poor even though He subscribed to it?

Do you know why he did not do that? cos the solution to the problem of the poor is not what you donate although its necessary to do so but if you really want to help the poor the solution is the Word of God first and then you can donate.

People will remain poor cos of their ignorance of the Word of God and their refusal of Gods kingdom financial principles.

And point of correction: NO ONE DONATES TO THE PASTOR!

Many of them are ignorant of the true meaning of "rich". they think being rich is all about money and they have the wrong mentality about Pastors.

On the other hand, we cannot overlook the wrong actions being perpetrated by false pastors who their belly is their god but does that make all rich Pastors bad? No!

I wish these people would study the scriptures to understand who the new creation is and what he has!

Thanks.

Omo Pastor, we are not sunday school children.
but you were once!

Your above claims may be true or false. I 'm willing to wager that they are false.
thats your own opinion.

The pastors spend all the churches money on themselves,
thats unsubstantiated and bogus. if you think and know this is the case then go start your own ministry and see how easy it is to spend all the tithes on yourself. you guys just enjoy running your mouth about frivolous things because it concerns the pastor.

with few crumbs going to their inner circles and other yes men.
how did you know this? can you provide your facts and figures.

Prove me wrong by publishing the names of the churches and what charitable works they do.
your knowledge of their charitable works is insignificant and irrelevant. go around the churches and find out for yourself.

Since there is no secrecy in charity, they must be verifiable.
they do not answer to anybody but God!
