I am a writer seeking to buy a good fairly used laptop with battery power of up to 3 hours and above to make for the horrible power supply problem in my area which has rendered my present dell laptop - with its 1hr 30 mins power output battery- quite useless.
I have poor sight so I'm only interested in wide screen laptops (16 - 17 inch screen) with a windows 8 operating system for at will magnifications.
pls have u any suggestions and a price tag will be appreciated.

Sorry for my late response. I didn't see this early enough. I would have said you go for dell inspiron 17r but i don't know your budget. Care to specify your budget?

Sorry for the late response. I guess the adapter is making contact with something that sends charge in the opposite direction. First, find another replacement charger maybe from a friend to test if same applies. If same applies, the charging port has some issues you need to work on.

Can't help but reply to this. Nigerians with their prayer wahala. Someone has a psychological problem here and you are talking about prayer. Yeah prayer works but it's utterly useless when you apply it to the wrong issues. This is more like having a flat tyre and instead of bringing out the jack and spare to fix it. You kneel down by the roadside looking up to heaven. Heaven only helps those who help themselves. I.e those who do the hardwork.

Op. Note that It's a form of addiction and needs gradual break away from. If you do anything rash and sudden, the withdrawal symptoms would pull him back. Normally the presence of you should stop him but since he hasn't i advise you to gradually help him reduce it. First, he needs to agree it's something he has to stop the addiction, next design a reward system where he gets a reward for reaching a milestone. I.e not doing it in 2 weeks and things like that.

You also need to understand that those images are deeply sticked to his memory and would need replacing which is very hard. That's why people are warned not to indulge in something, easy to learn but hard to unlearn. Guess you still have memory of your childhood let alone someone with millions of such sticky images.

You should gradually find a way to replace those filth images with something more positive. All those memory needs to be redirected and regenerated with something else. CUT out all those sexually laced material, pictures; movies that have sex scenes should be avoided.

Also he seems to have lots of energy and time to pour around. If he works in Lagos and leaves home by 6am only to return 10pm, stressed and tired like a donkey such actions would be limited and be the last thing on his table. He should find something to throw that energy at. Work ,sports or friends.

Also, the triggers should be avoided. The internet is filled with such gross images now and it's been amplified by all these yeyebrities and bloggers who share nudes around as if it's just normal. I don't know who told them we want to see their ugly bodies. Thank goodness google would start banning them by June. Installing internet filters or turning off images while browsing is a sure way to go.

But in all, he needs psychological help and finding professional help would be ideal but even at that... THE BUlK stops at his TABLE and the success depends SOLELY on HIM choosing to stop.

Didn't read the opening post. All you need to do is get a fairly used system or upgrade the money to get something better. That amount won't get you anything reasonable that is new.

Celeron is a stripped down cheaper version of the Intel Pentium processors. Even the pentium processors struggle to play High definition games let alone celeron that's more slower.

Celeron are more suited to light work like word processing and not gaming.

very insightful and really interesting topic. Been long i read an article in full. Lol . Jazakum for sharing it with us. The above quoted lines leaves me open mouthed when looking at marriages nowadays.

Number 1 is what i dread most. Why would i want to get used to bad behavior? Yeah i guess learning to forgive and tolerate is very essential but there are just somethings you can't tolerate for long and everyone has a breaking limit as regards tolerance and partners should learn to improve and work on their weaknesses and not condemn their partners to a life long of tolerating BS by telling them to get used to it.

That line "this is who i am,deal with it" sounds very disgusting to my ears.

As for the second sentence, we all should learn to be proactive and not reactive. Also we should learn to control our actions and not let other people's actions or inactions decide whether we offer good deeds or not.

The third is the blame game. Avoiding to take responsibility and saying sorry.The last is just plain wicked. I don't get why we just say words we don't truly mean in it's deepest form just to hurt someone you call your partner.

Buy another charger and you would be fine. Or in the interim. Look for someone with your type of charger and test if your system works before proceeding to buy a new charger. I doubt anything is wrong with your system though. The way adapters work actually prevents power surges to proceed onto to a motherboard.

what's your system model? You have to buy a new screen. That screen is damaged and with time the number of lines would increase.

He operated when the Nigerian state was still practising regional governance and you don't have the 2/3 rules we have now to force his hand to compromise to form a regional government.

Tinubu would have been hard pressed to compromise if he were to be thrown into the system Awo operated in. How do you even form a 2 party system in a Regional Government system which is independent of each other and transcends your primary geographic location?

I also try and evaluate people based on their results. Tinubu would never ever even reach 1/50 of what Awo achieved for the Yoruba Nation. All you are benefiting now and mouthing off was a result of his foresight. Maybe after 30 years we would be able to look back and see what Tinubu's current actions yielded. Till then.
