I have been in warri, delta state for my service year. I stayed a whole full year there.

But finally i came back to aba, my hometown.

The first thing i bought in a store, a superglue i bought for N50 was just water. more than 3 quarter of the content was air, and the remaining content was just a slimy liquid that could'nt even glue my fingers together.

I thought that was a mistake, the next morning i went to buy detergent for washing. I bought the Ariel sachet, went home and opened it and you wouldn't believe what i saw. the detergent couldn't even lather.

Throughout my stay in warri, never, not even once did i buy any product that i was not happy with, and just two days in aba, i have bought 2 adulterated products already?

If you ever buy anything in aba, there are 59% chances that it would be fake. I have been to some other states and this is not the case. Same with onitsha. They copy so well that you can barely differentiate.

They way wealth is worshiped in my region is very disgusting. All my friends are into Scam. You can barely find an honest innocent guy here.

During my stay in warri, i found guys that go to farm, do menial jobs and apprenticeship. but here, everyone is feeling way to big. Most graduates are just too lazy to do anything aside yahoo and internet scams. And the most disturbing part is that, nobody cares

Last year, one of my friend, a very little boy of 19, hit money on yahoo and rented a flat for his parents. They didn't even ask how he got the money.

Most of our brothers that are being sent abroad are even expected to steal. if you do not steal, you are not sharp. 'can't you see chinedu that went to abroad last year and he is back this year already building a 4 story house? '

I am writing this because i am very concerned with the way this is going. What would be our prospects in the future? is this the way to build a stronger society?

I do not see the point in adulterating the Igbo dialect spoken in a movie that was supposed to promote Abakiliki language hence the titles "Nwa Abakiliki" and "Ada Abakiliki".
If you see the movie and tell me they didn't speak their dialect, then we'll discuss that.
The solereason these states seem to be disregarded is because they are relatively new. You can't mention Igbo towns without mentioning Aba.
Imo and Abia are seen as a single entity and Ebonyi as part of Abia.

I've seen Ada owerri movie and many of the actress in the movie weren't Imo indigenous so yes, I'm sure they inter mix the actress. Do you honestly think they'll single out actresses and actors from ebonyi state just for a movie? No directors does that. For example: I watched the first half of a yellow sun movie created by an American director and in the movie, only 1 actress in the entire movie was actually igbo. The rest of actors supposedly representing igbo people were predominantly southern Africans. Even the 2nd movie directed by a nigerian, many of the authors that were supposed to represent were either American blacks, Canadian blacks or other blacks and even Genevieve Nnaji, a real igbo woman, played the role of a yoruba. Most directors really don't single out the actors. They pick whoever as long as the actor can play the part correctly.

As for your other post, I highly doubt there's anyone arguing that Abia and Ebonyi are igbo state or accusing it as non igbo states. I really dont know what your arguing about but my statement is that their igbo is difficult to understand and I stand by it cause I've witness it. I'm NOT saying they are not Igbo people.

They have to do more. Sadly that's the reality. I'll use my people for example. We are barely talked about when it comes to igbo community; even the OP did not include us in his igbo category. I understand the reason why is because we are not located in SE and also we are not standing out as the 3 the OP mentioned. Infact, even Ebonyi gets more recognition than us. Now I'm not mad, nor feel betrayed. Currently, my people are more political advanced than others and I know if we continue the pact we are in, my people will not be side lined anymore. Ebonyi equally have to do more if they want full recognition. That's my own advice.

You do realize most of this movie stars are usually scattered around and not necessary from the state in question. Also many are expected to speak central igbo. If you want to hear an Ebonyi person speak, you should Google living in bondage, that really old igbo movie, one of the actors in the 2nd movie is from Ebonyi state. I swear you could barely barely understand his igbo. I honestly couldn't figure out how his coworkers could. Their igbo is rather difficult to understand. But it's not just them, Imo and Abia indigenous igbo is equally difficult to understand especially imo people.

I don't think the two states are hated, I think it's because they are not doing much to stand out at least ebonyi isn't. Abia is known for Aba and for their agriculture but the fact they keep electing terrible leaders is why they side-lined to the back. Most Igbos are aware that Abians are more technological advanced than the rest. You can give an Abia man anything and he can replicate it for you to the T no matter how difficult. It's their leaders that side-lined them to the back. As for Ebonyi, there's nothing they doing that stands out. The only thing they are known for is that most Igbo Muslims are from that state. In igboland, you have to stand out to be talked about. Sadly, they don't stand out and that's why they are side-lined I highly doubt any igbo person hates Abia and Ebonyi

Babe I'm from Delta so I need no schooling. Delta is not part of Biafra of course even bayelsa and most SS states. I for one know that if SS & SE are to split from Nigeria the new country's name is not gonna be Biafra whatsoever. My main issue with you was when you said Delta is not mainly part of the 9jadelta but Akwaibom, rivers and cross river.

She said the part of 9jadelta that was included in the Biafra ojukwu created was those 3 states. The rest weren't included. She wasn't saying the delta is not niger delta. And she's right.
