The fact remains that a lot of Nigerian leaders do not believe in Nigeria. Every governor who forcibly moves Nigerians from his state to another is indirectly saying that Nigeria is a fraud. He does not believe in the tenets of the constitution. Now, why is the Fed government hounding separatist groups like MASSOB, while state governors are actually putting to practice their disbelief in the Nigerian nation? |
Anybody who believes in forcibly moving Nigerians from one state to another is indirectly saying that Nigeria is a fraud. Watch the governors closely. They are speaking loud and clear! |
Rhino.5dm:I had shared a theory/thought here before in nairaland, to the effect that those who fought to keep Nigeria one did not know what they were fighting for, and for that, they really should pay for both human and material losses suffered by both sides in that war. Let me just not get into that pre-civil war Nigerian history because there will be no agreement and it will derail this thread. Suffice to say that politically speaking today in Nigeria, Ndigbo are not worse than Yoruba. All you need do is take a close look at current Nigeria; but yet, I dare you to conduct a referendum in Igboland asking whether Igbo want to leave Nigeria or not, and I assure you that the result will be overwhelmingly YES to LEAVE Nigeria. And it is because of the points I raised in the original post. So, you see our "situation"? This Nigeria is not making sense, and we Igbo agree on that; but WHAT ABOUT YOU? Yours is that you accuse Igbo of wanting to dominate Nigeria, wanting this and that, yet you CLING onto us for breath. You did that in 1967, and you are doing it even today. I can't understand that. Normal human behavior is that one separates permanently from an unwanted other. Why is that so difficult for you to practice? Why are you going to Port Harcourt (every time) and even clinging onto an Igbo woman, yet you call Nigeria unreal and fraudulent (by implication); are you not the person being fraudulent? Be honest first with yourself, then other things will fall where they may and the picture will be clearer. As for being comfortable, Nna I can tell you with all confidence that you can only dream of what I have enjoyed in this life. There is no comparison between heaven and hell. ![]() However some of us are deeply public spirited and conscientious. My mum used to say that she can never be happy in heaven if her kids ends up in hell. The same feelings are propelling my comments on Nairaland. I doubt that you can ever understand it. It is INBORN. ![]() |
gudugba: This OP dude will simply walk away with the most annoying member in NL...if there should be a contest.Truth is very annoying the world over, especially to the unscrupulous. You call it whining; I call it TRUTH. |
Rhino.5dm:No, I'm not blind. As a matter of fact my people foresaw the premises of the logic you are displaying here some 46 odd years ago, and fought to leave, but your people fought to keep us here. So, we are here. Your points only tell me that your people are either chronically short-sighted, or you are lying. You have to choose one. BTW I never thought a day would come when YOU of all people would become allergic to One Nigeria. As for your selling your land there, I do not believe it one bit (if you ever bought any in the first place). I believe you just pulled it out of your a55 to shore up your position. You are still fleecing the city by doing business there. You should also return their daughter. ![]() |
malc619: My lord, save your gospel for T.A. Orji who sacked all non-indigenes from Abia. What did you and your Ibos do then except grumbling on the pages of newspapers?? Why didn't you folks challenge him in court?? Or are you EMPTY VESSELS only good at making loud noises??You apparently cannot read or comprehend simple written English. Everything you said above have no relationship whatsoever with the topic of the thread. Please read again, this time veeeeeery slowly. |
Rhino.5dm:And you wonder why some Nigerians would call you parasite. You are saying that apart from fleecing Port Harcourt, you have basically no other interest in the city. This thread is hopefully going to bolster my position about many things in Nigeria. Thanks for the information. |
I will keep saying that truth is like a coin; it is either heads, or tails. Heads -> true; Tails -> false! If Nigeria is one and indivisible nation, then any NIGERIAN who bought landed property in ANY part of Nigeria, and lives there (pays tax, etc), has FULL rights in that Nigerian location. If that NIGERIAN land owner is not entitled to FULL Nigerian rights in that location in Nigeria, then the Nigerian nation is a FRAUD. In the case of non-land owning Nigerians living in Nigeria, they are still Nigerians and must enjoy ALL rights (under the law, provided that law does not violate the Nigerian constitution) available to all non-land owning Nigerians in EVERY part of Nigeria (again refer to the Nigerian constitution). To "legally" treat such persons otherwise is fraudulent, and an indirect way of saying that the Nigerian nation is a fraud. If I enact a law against homeless people littering and "messing" the streets of my state, it should bind on ALL Nigerians in that state (indigene and non-indigene alike). If I enact a law against nomadic herding, it should be binding on ALL Nigerians living there. Both laws must provide reasonable remedy (and not violate the Nigerian constitution of course) to allow those Nigerians continue living in that state. It is in that spirit that some state governments provided (sold or donated)lands to nomadic herders (Anambra is a good example, near Ugwuoba). It is in that same spirit that states provide social welfare to homeless and destitute found in a state (irrespective of "state of origin".. ); again some states do it while others don't. Only foreigners cannot expressly enjoy such rights (for obvious reasons). In making these findings, the only supreme (hence relevant) legal document here is the Nigerian constitution. So, watch what the leaders and politicians are SAYING (and DOING) very carefully. They communicate these by words and deeds. Some of them are saying that Nigeria is one and indivisible, while others are saying that Nigeria is a fraud. Watch and listen very closely! |
bashy_demy: where is your sense of reasoning is i may ask? did you make any sense with your post? i just dey laugh the way you SE easten are taking your future leaders as slave, I have seen so many Ibo man went to village and come back to Lagos with an ungerage boy to start working for him as sales boy instead of going to school what do we call that? Poverty.yes poverty because the parent cannot care for there kids so they send them out in slavery and he will serve his boss for more than 25yrs isn't that slavery? if you doubt me go to Alaba you will find an unger age boy attending to customer in a shop, Go to ladipo same, go to any Ibo market and you find them there using them as slave isn't that poverty? You cannot understand because you are not Igbo. It is not slavery, it is called APPRENTICESHIP. It has served us well through the years and will continue to do so. It actually gives us the competitive edge in Nigeria. I do not support underage apprenticeship of course, but it is better than sending out a child to go begging in the streets as prevalent in your land. Let me tell you something that I suspect you may know already: Igbo style apprenticeship is not easy and so far has eluded other African groups. You know why your people cannot copy it? You are too unscrupulous and dishonorable. You cannot abide by agreements! It takes HONOR, INTEGRITY and HONESTY to take a total stranger in, he serves in your business for 5 -7 years (not your fake 25 years), and you still abide by the terms of the original agreement at the end by giving the person enough money and capital (goods) to start his own business. It takes SERIOUS MORAL COMMITMENT -the likes of which is totally alien to your culture. So, please next time you see an Igbo apprentice (whether of age or under age) quietly sit somewhere and look in awe and admiration... then try your hand at copying it. I wouldn't bet my 2 cents that you would succeed though. lol |
Abagworo: I believe you live in USA and I assure you that the US once had this same problem. The links I posted earlier are from other African countries and not necessarily Fulani but other traditional nomadic groups. You seem to prefer the option of wiping off Fulani people from earth which stinks of wickedness and is impossible in this modern era.And you seem to prefer that Fulani marauders kill, ra.pe, and possibly wipe out Igbo people in Igboland, which makes you really mentally deranged if not outright imbecilic. Yes I'm a very proud American who love America with a passion that Nigeria can only dream of, and it is because here there are HUMANS with commonsense. Nobody would sheer a herd of cows into another's crop farm here. As a matter of fact all farmers here are HEAVILY ARMED. I pray that farmers in my African homeland will copy farmers here. ![]() Like I told you already, please give your father's compound to Fulani marauders and live happily ever after. Anu mpama. ![]() |
mikeansy: exactly my thoughtsNwanne ike gwuru o! |
Sunny_bobo: Can someone please ask him why he hasn't sponsored any bill in the senate. Sunny my brother I tire o. |
LOL, our people are speaking loud and clear. A word is enough for the wise. We say a huge NO to turncoats in Igboland. |
IGBO-SON:The guy was using statistricks for his computation. Shameless iidiats. |
abagoro: The Fulani vs farmers problem is not peculiar to Imo State, Igboland and Nigeria. We as Nigerians can all come together and create a migratory zone for them or as well tutor them on modern grazing. The only other option is an all out killing or ethnic cleansing of the nomads which you and I know is impossible. All I know is that I do not want to see any killer in my backyard. Period. I live in a country that makes sense, where every property is respected according to laws. Land is a PROPERTY and must be respected. It is the onus of all to respect property rights. It is not my duty to train the Fulani on how to respect property laws. My father paid hard earned money to send me to school to learn things that pertain to modernity. The Fulani should go to school and learn modern ways of ranching. It is THEIR responsibility, not NIGERIA's. Igbo people trade and farm, Nigeria does not aid or teach us how to do it. We do it ourselves. For me the whole thing is simple: MY LAND IS MY LIFE, and whoever threatens either I will fight to death. Simple. |
OPC.NAIRALAND:Only the Igbo have seen WAR in Nigeria. Others have NEVER seen war. FACT. We fought local and FOREIGN fighters/countries for almost 3 years, and killed 250,000 of those forces. On our military side, we lost 110,000, but millions of our civilians died from war crimes committed by those forces we fought. NO OTHER GROUP IN NIGERIA HAS EVER SEEN WAR BEFORE AND AFTER BIAFRA. ![]() You can rant all you want, but I can assure you that even now, the North is scared to death about declaring war. They are been killed, but they fear what Igbos went through. Why not they try and get REAL war experience? lol As for being displaced politically, all I do is laugh at you because your Yoruba is not even in political equation these days. Take a close look now at Nigeria. Your political future looks very bleak. lol ![]() |
mikeansy: Buhari will no get 5% vote in the EastHe will NOT even get 70% in the North and West. There are middle belt votes and Christians in the North too. In the west, I suspect that most of them would rather sit home than vote Buhari; just wait and see. When the campaigns start, information about Boko Haram killings in the North and Fulani madness all over Nigeria will flow freely, and suddenly our brothers in the SW will come back to their senses. |
Emekanews: Fulanis slayed us up North, now they cone to slay us at home.Yoruba masquerade we don hear you. Atulu! ![]() |
ndu_chucks: The above post shows that University education does mean that you cease to be dumb, narrow minded, and stoopid. Fulani people have been grazing on that land way before you people arrived from Benin and Yoruba land. The stoopid thing is that a so called educated man is tacitly supporting pre-19th century animal pasturing system for 21st century. Any day I see any Fulani cattle on my land, they will meet 21st century resistance to their 19th century way of life. Land can be bought by anybody in Nigeria, and there is law against trespassing. I encourage them to buy theirs just like I bought mine. I somehow have an assured feeling that this Fulani madness will meet a final solution in Igboland one of these days. |
DerideGull: I have preached the essence of self-defense to any Igbo who cared to listen. It is unfortunate Biafra lost the war which provided its opponent the opportunity to disarm Ndigbo and instigate the sense of owing ammunition to equal armed robbery. Since after the war, most communities in Igbo can not fend off attacks by two Fulani herdsmen armed with AK-47.Which of course is the biggest lie ever told about God's attitude towards self defense. Check the Bible carefully, the men that God loved most were all warriors, even right from Abraham (who maintained a tiny army), to Jacob (whose sons Levi and Simeon almost killed 300 Canaanites because one of them ra.,ped their sister), to David (who was a war man totally); just name any one whom God worked closely with, they were all warriors! These lies were told to soften Africans for easy exploitation. I never bought any of those lies, and YES I am very close to God. David said in the book of Psalms "Blessed be the Lord God my strength who teaches my hands to war, and my fingers to fight". If you do not fight, you will not exist on this earth. It is really simple. |
I will again call for MASSOB to be forced into dissolution in Igboland. We do not need them for anything. We are not leaving Nigeria. We are Nigerians and must defend our land as Nigerians using any possible means. If we cannot defend our lands in Nigeria, is it a cowardly MASSOB that would form the new military for an independent Biafra? I still maintain that either MASSOB changes leadership or it must disband, because it is turning Igboland into a land of cowards. We are NOT (by a very looooooooog shot) cowards. But MASSOB is steadily creating a new culture of cowardice in Igboland. Nuff said. |
abagoro: Nigerians generally have this problem of inability to suggest ways of solving a problem. We need a grazing zone period.Ngwanu provide the grazing zone in your backyard now. Onwere onye ji gi na aka LOL ![]() How many indigenes of a place have Igbo settlers, residents, or even visitors ever killed in Nigeria? It is people like you that work steadily to attract killers into Igboland in the name of tolerance. Next thing you start to call sane people all kinds of names just to justify your insane theories. kpota ndi oloko nye ha ala obi gi. Arrant nonsense. |
Eazee-e: Nigerians and their vivid imagination sef. It is well. I hope that Rochas takes action to protect Imo state. That's all. |
bushwailo: ^^^Thanks for the compliment. NO Fascisthola/Tinubu/APC in Anambra state, whether by masquerade or by proxy. By all means necessary! ![]() |
solidbroda: *yawns* y you dey make it sound say nah Nigeria people dey enter U.K only?Omo they do o. Everybody needs money, and Europe is going bankrupt. But knowing the British I think they've done the cost benefit analysis first. However, "smart" people are error prone. Don't be surprised how fast they may reverse this policy if we respond the way they did not expect. lol Nothing is chiseled on stone in international diplomacy. |
OP you are a very intelligent and level headed man. All your calculations and points stick like glue -they are resilient! I still maintain that Nigeria underestimates her relevance and importance in Africa. If we throw in reciprocity, the scales might even tip to our advantage sooner than your forecast. |
gudugba: You are a very dishonest person.....you know those reasons you gave above are not exactly the reasons you think Ngige will not win....but revealing your real reasons will expose you further for what you truly are. I pray that Igboland is not saddle with higher responsibility with a person like you that see everything as WE vs THEM contest. My friend sharrap dia. I said there are MANY reasons why Ngige will lose; I then stated the two MOST IMPORTANT ones. Of course we shall vote with malice against Ngige -a turn coat who threw the people he was elected to represent at the national level under the bus just to secure his party's guber ticket. He failed to speak up for us when it mattered most, therefore HE FAILED. QED. Who knows what he will do in office when we would be basically powerless to rein him in. And YES there is a WE vs THEM in politics. If that were not the case, then why are there winners and losers in elections? Why not every contestant be declared winners and everybody rule together? Some of you need to be flogged every morning to impart some human sense into you. Nansense. ![]() |
CFCfan: Spot on. Ethiopian will only do Enugu-Addis Ababa-Washington D.C.And we shall fly it anyway. Brilliant. Methinks that once Enugu starts full operations, it will get busy very quickly. The scramble for the route by airliners will likely be fueled by US and Europe based Igbo, and others flying to Dubia/Asia minor and far east. A lot of us will soon start to forget what Lagos (and even Abuja sef) look like. Who wan suffer for nothing? This airport will change a lot of things in Nigeria's economic map. |
IGBO-SON:Nwanne ike gwuru! I wouldn't call for that though. What I keep wondering about is why nobody has given these fulanis a good lesson in their own brand of lawlessness. It has since become obvious that in Nigeria, you are pretty much on your own, security-wise. Fulani herdsmen are allowed to carry AK47s around, while unarmed MASSOB are arrested and thrown into jails. Something is seriously wrong somewhere, but I know that one of these days, "monkey go go market and no go return". I thought that these towns in SE have vigilante groups; I know they are armed. Or is this town not able to form any? In Anambra, if you don't meet "AVS" (aka Bakassi), you will meet local vigilante. That is a start. |
