KunleOshob:Hmnn . . . . . . |
Chief Jakumo!!! Wow! You're still on this planet Hilarious as ever. . . . .As per Buhari, lets see what he's got to say this time around. We're in a democracy. . . . military/religious tactics won't work. Perhaps he's a changed man. But I see GEJ grabbing most votes and winning the presidential election. Everything seems to be working in his favour. |
How about someone just ask Buhari if he will indeed implement Sharia if given the reigns of government - especially during his campaign manifesto. |
Jan 2011. Yet to be caught. |
Can't see anything. . . . |
send pics. . . . makes sense that way. To my e-mail. |
^^ I sure have. Already in another board (in a different tab - thank God for browsers with tabs) - only came back to see if the likes of your self have responded to my entry. |
We're all entitled to our opinion - including Beaf. If Beaf's points/opinion sounds like bullcrap to you, just ignore and go to the jokes section or summin different. I don't think a new thread should be opened for this type of discourse. |
I need samples too. wasig3@gmail.com |
Phone number please. |
come online to yahoo. . . . . |
Omenani:Sadly true - A country of sycophants!!!! |
Beaf:LOL. . . .by the time Atiku's heinous crimes are released by the 'Leaks' he's sure going to shut his mouth big time! |
Learn't some new stuff today. Now, back to the topic. How do we get out of the present parasitic arrangement called Nigeria? |
This should be in the Politics board, I think. . . . . |
That's the brand name for the yearly Dec 7 event marking Pastor Christ's birthday. Its an opportunity to outgive/outdo other cec plc members (as an individual) and other satellite churches and groups (if you're a church or group). Funny, but I remember now that this Dec 7 thingy was one of the straws that broke the camel's back for me back then. The satellite church I attended was a super broke one (till today ) despite all of our then pastor's efforts to get us to walk in this ever so elusive supernatural abundance. We just kept getting broker and broker ![]() I remember he stood up [in really great faith, I suppose] in church one year like that about a month to Oyaks' birthday and announced that all other churches had started mobilising their members to give big to the man of god and that he wanted us, as a church, to give something really big that'll surprise the other churches in the group. He then announced that he'd decided we contribute to the sum of N500,000 to give as a birthday gift to Oyaks. Jokes aside, my jaw hit the floor. ![]() I then looked around to see my fellow cec members who obviously were a struggling group, most of whom I could swear were probably having problems feeding properly, paying children's school fees etc. Couldn't stop wondering where even N50,000 could come from. Let alone N500,000! Needless to say, we never got anywhere close to the sum.
LOL, Z |
I'm happy. . . . .Guys, I've been away for a while. What's up with our people at home? Anyone going home this holiday? Are the roads okay now? I'll like to visit Igbide - is the Olomoro-Iyede road okay now? |
At this point, I can just take the normal ''siddon look'' posture and watch as events unfolds. Nigeria is one country which outcomes for most events - however important, have defied all known methods of evaluating such. In all these sha, I hope GEJ will try and dualise the east-west road - President or not before 2011. |
I just finished watching one of the finest tennis matches in a while. I love all of Fed's backhand and graceful smashing. Fed's serving is great. Nadal really found it hard to pick any of em. Great game all together. |
Mariory is still on Nairaland?! Thank God you're not yet an Admin. Elrazur, Tell those you treat to change their ways and it will be well with them. |
Elrazur, That I used a blanket biblical generalisation is your making - not mine. I indeed requestd for clarification on cases other than sexual that can bring about STDs - and you came up with some. And 90% of the cases presented were SIN related - in my opinion. Rest of the cases stated are work related and so on. I think if we can get 90% sin out of the world, the world will be a better place. By the way, can you help research on the number of women/people who contacted HIVs during the First and Second World Wars? Cases of rape were rampant and reported too right? |
Elrazur, While I very much empathise with you on the need to protect people from dying in droves as a result of STDs related cases around the globe, I think your standpoint of ''on the ground reality'' is in opposite direction to my reasoning here. And I daresay your knowledge of God's Word and the way He works is somewhat limited. But that's ok. I should let you know that I simply follow the Bible as per anything that pertains to the affairs of this world - old fashioned or not, modern or ancient. So our discussions on this may end up deadlocked as we continue. I still stand by my word that SIN is at the root of all of the STDs related cases you mentioned up there - and even the Africa wars (wars are all over the globe anyways, and women get despoiled in other places - some contact STDs, others don't). Opinion may differ, but I know the Bible's stand on issues have remained unshaken over the centuries. . . . ever constant. Now, to the unfortunate cases out there, thank God they're few - compared to cases we know are really sin-prone. And I know there will come a time cure to this diseases will come - just as it came for many other diseases before them. And the world will be a better place for that. |
ElRazur:Ok. Thanks. But the way you put it, can't we just say those people were not infected with STDs? Now, lets face all of the above one after the other: 1. The HIV Positive mother who passed on the disease to the child: Fact is that she got that disease from someone - her adulterous husband or unfaithful boyfriend or from her whoremongering activity somewhere. Sin is at the root of the unfortunate episode. The wages of sin is death - sounds biblical, but true. And the death here is not just the physical you see - it's spiritual as well. 2. Those who work in high risk environment: I wager it's only in very rare cases that we see/hear of these unfortunate incidents. And nowadays, with the type of protective gear medical workers kit on and all of the precautions, we can only pray that we do not hear of such cases anymore. 3. The Drug addict: Sin is at the root of it all. Conclusion: Follow Bible principles on fornication, immorality (including sex and non-sex related), adultery - in short anything that goes against the commandment of God, and then see if we will not have a safe and disease free world. |
ElRazur:Pardon me, I'm not a medical student - and I have very limited knowledge on pathology. Tell me how sexually transmitted diseases can be transmitted without sex. I'm afraid I can't explain beyond what's up there Bro or is it Sis. If you want me to spell out the Bible's position on fornication, adultery and divorce, sorry. I've not all the time in the world for that now. |
As I see it, and not being overly biblical, the solution to all of the diseases and plagues associated with sex (strictly speaking -immoralitly and NOT procreation) remains strict adherence to biblical principles on fornication and adultery and also the time tested, divorce-fobidding stand of the bible on marriage. This is purely my views - the way I see it. If the Pope's position is in tune with mine, fine. |
Someone said this a while a go, and I say my thoughts actually. Nigerians do not take kindly to outsiders who insult their country. . . . . . . . . Only an outside threat can unite Nigerians towards a common cause. |
edjuzion:I need to get a call from you rightaway to verify the authenticity or otherwise of your claim - not that I don't believe in love on the net. . . . . but, yours is somewhat, miraculous! |

Another wind of change. . . . . AC to the rescue. |
I heard over the news that Long Term Unemployed people in the UK will now be forced to do ''30 hrs community service'' every week. Failure to do this will result to forfeiture of the normal monthly stipends to the unemployed. |
Blazay:My thoughts, actually. . . . . |
