I say let Wikileaks keep em coming! But like the ''average'' naija person will say, na thief wey dem catch na im be proper thief. The one wey dem never catch that one na smart guy! No be so? So, someone like Ibori is a real thief while Obj and associates are smart people. |
Very terrible revelations!! ![]() |
Ok. Nice write up by Field. I have learnt a lot from the write up, and I have made up my mind to make a difference. |
But na wa o o, |

beaf, We get to talk. YIM me on yahoo if you can. My YIM add is on my profile. Thank you. |
@mikewillis, Please, help present those figures in a very neat manner - preferably in a tabular form, if possible, or better still, you post the link where you got the figures from. Well done. Naija is a rich country. It's just a pity that many are blind to this fact. |
For once, Kobojunkie has made some good sensible posts. And Seun thank you. People, exploring for and producing oil and gas and then selling same to end users is no moi moi business. It takes solid skills in technical disciplines and you must be ready to spend money - as in enuf money. You should be ready to stake a lot of that plenty money even when you're not 100% sure your exploration work will fetch you the much needed black gold and all the goodies that goes with it. That said, Naija is very lucky to have the type of JV/PSC agreements that they have with the oil majors - and we should be happy. The 57% Okonjo-Iweala stated translates to several billions of Naira. This is aside the huge tax pay out and royalties from these oil majors to the FG and states governments where they operate. It is a fair deal guys. When we know we have the skills and technical know how to compete with these established hands, then we can tell them to pack their bags and leave our shores. At the moment, sorry guys, we don't have that just yet. We're still very busy trying to fish out the Boko Haramites among us. |
http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/politics/2012/jan/21/politics-21-01-2012-001.html Guys, the above link is loaded with some info on Boko Haram. Seems there is more to the sect than is generally circulated. The bit that state governors sponsor/finance the activities of these sects still surprise me. Interesting interviews. |
@beaf, Man mi, I just dey o. Well done o, please keep up the good work. Nairaland has turned to something else. Where is GP, Debosky my good friend, Owo and the other correct people? Seun should do something about this quickly - abi na me don turn old member? And Jakumo hardly come around too these days. Miss his great sense of humor. Wonder what he's got to say about all these. |
Reading through the article, I think she's got every reason not to step down just yet - and I think there isn't any reason for her to step down. The corrupt agency responsible for most of the problem of today - the PPPRA was merged with her ministry just recently - well, except she's not telling the truth, because given the timeframe stated, not much would have happened. And indeed, they have been understudying the PPPRA for some eight months. I think we need to just be a wee bit patient with the President. I see something big and deadly coming the way of corrupt people generally and it's coming with some deadly force. Now, as per the luxury life this minister is living, you guys forget she was once a director at Shell Petroleum Develpment Company. She's already a wealthy woman by every standard. Except this her lifestyle has grown so much that there isn't a reasonable correlation with what she's earning/have earned as an oil industry staff, then there is no need to make a lot of noise about her wealth. |
Tunnytox, I have read the article in your link. Nice insight from someone with the facts and not just hearsay. I think the Yoruba's have been privileged to have some of the best minds this country has ever produced. S.L Akintola sure deserves to be accorded some honor for his deeds to the Yoruba people and especially for his visionary leadership style in the face of a daunting opposition as Chief Awolowo. I hope your spiritual leader King, Kabiyesi, Oba Okunade Sijuwade, Ooni of Ife will look into this. |
dayokanu:^^^^ This cracked me up really!! Funny guy. . . . |
Onlytruth:Thank you and well done. I have learnt something new about the Igbos again. |
^^^ You sure aren't from this shores then. . . I'm not Igbo. . . . sorry, I can't answer your question. Let someone of the Igbo extraction do that. . . . .in a minute. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RIP Ojukwu. |
cap28:Wow!!!! . . . . . .You know what, I want to believe you. The Western press did tell all of us lies about what was on ground in Libya. How do I believe them that indeed Quadafi was killed with a golden gun or something - like you rightly stated - reminds me of James Bond's The man with a Golden Gun? LOL!!! But. . . . well . . . Maybe he is alive. Who knows! |
Then, I'm not coming. Goodluck with your sale. |
Post pictures of the engine. . . . . . .lets see. . . . |
^^^ got proof of that nasty claim up there? |
Thank you my brother. Lets remind them of the evil that Gaddafi represents. The same man who tried to cause disintegration in Nigeria by calling for the country to be divided into two.
I believe at the time he made that statement - and even now, the best thing for us in Nigeria is to quietly disintegrate in to 3 or 4 separate countries. That facts still holds true today. |
^^ No response/comment. You don't deserve one anyway. |
Kobojunkie once said that Aondoakaa was from the Niger Delta! - That alone is very much instructive. Tells how best she knows Nigeria, no, Africa. Best thing to do is just ignore her. I have never been so sad for Africa. For the past few days, I have been ill. The way the man was humilliated, killed and his dead body placed in a meat store to preserve it was just too gory a sight to behold. Whatever his sins, the thugs employed by the West - some of the people of Benghazi, whose business of human trafficking to Europe via Libyan seaports was destroyed by Ghaddafi, have no right to take this man's life. Africa has lost one good leader who loved his people and the continent. Let anyone who is without sin among us cast the first stone! 3 of his sons died with him in one fell swoop, in one day. That will make some fathers die anyway. Rest in peace Moammar Ghaddafi. You will not be chased by fighter planes from people who you thought were your friends anymore. You paid the family of the Lockerbie Bomb incident even when you did not sanction that attack - some 1.5 billion dollars - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/7703110.stm. Even though no money can make up for lost lives, you wanted peace with your enemies. And the love of life for your people made you paid that much to keep some of your citizens alive. I wonder how many African leaders know where their people are, talk less of rescuing them from the jaws of death. That's a big plus for someone regarded as a ''mad dog''. Rest in peace soldier. May God grant your soul eternal rest. And may God forgive you of the sins you committed while you were here. |
playmode:LOLOLOLOL!! Una no go kill me for this NL. . . . . . . . . |
Muntula:The ''rejection'' of Ishmael is not any man's making. It is of the Lord God. Spiritual things must be looked at from spiritual perspectives. Isaac's miraculous birth by Sarah is instructive. I believe God wanted someone that will bear the messiah should come ''clean'' - not via some ''arrangee'' means. But then, that's the way I see it. Someone here has made some interesting insights from the spiritual/Biblical angle which you as someone who is from ''without'' will be difficult to ''comprehend''. The rejection of Ishmael is spiritual. Physically, Ismael was indeed a recognised son of Abraham. When Abraham died, his sons - Isaac and Ishmael buried him: Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an old man, and full of years; and was gathered to his people. And his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, which is before Mamre. Gen 25:8,9 And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham's house; and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the selfsame day, as God had said unto him. Gen 17:23 No one can deny the paternity of Ismael. He was a legitimate son of Abraham. But we speak of spiritual things here - things pertaining to the Birth and Lineage of the messiah. The one who is to deliver the human race from the curse of death, that sin that has taken mankind from God - right from the garden of Eden. That lineage is of the House of David, Isaac's great great grandson. And as Jesus said in some passages someone here has quoted in the book of John, Jesus is actually God in human flesh - otherwise he will not say he has been around before Abraham was born. This is difficult for the muslims to comprehend. It should not be so. God is all-powerful, omnipotent, omniscient God. He can do anything He wants and He needs not explain His actions to any man. When he decided to come in human form, that's His wish. His own way of redeeming mankind. And when he chose to come through Isaac and not Ishmael, Ok! fine. That's the way He wants it. We are however grateful that there is a way for us to get back to our Maker. Our Lord and God. Blessed be the Lord God Almighty who gave us Emmanuel to redeem us from our sins. |
Tex, Very well said o. |
Jakumo = Obahiagbon |
stoneco:Idle funds ![]() ?But na wa sha. I don't know what to say. |
Very well said Ibime. |

Fact is ''thinking'' about it is as bad as actually ''doing'' it. So, in my opinion, most married men/women alike might have committed adultery - at some point. And this is what scares me the most. |
Maybe he is right, really. . . . |
