A viral video emerged from the social media where an Apostle identified as Kassy Chukwu of Peniel International Church preaching from the Pulpit told his church members that the President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed TINUBU ought to have been poisoned by his wife because he was too old to be the president of Nigeria, SOJ WORLDWIDE reported.

"How wish Jagaban wife poisoned Jagaban we for no dey do all these thing we dey do so, I no say make Im wife poison am o, I no say make she no still poison am.  Old man cannot lead us, old man cannot lead us."


He added that if the woman added small poison, Jagaban would not have witnessed the primary election.

Omicronvaccine:
The spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has stated that persons arrested in connection with the killing of Deborah Samuel in Sokoto state in May 2022, are currently being held at a correctional center, IGBERETV reports.

Deborah, a 200-level Home Economics student of the Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, was stoned and burnt to death on May 12, 2022, by irate youths including some people believed to be her classmates over allegations of blasphemy.

Many Nigerians are of the opinions that the suspects arrested over the gruesome murder of the young lady have been released.

Reacting via his Twitter handle, Adejobi said the arrested suspects are currently being held in a correctional center.

He also stated that he has asked the Sokoto state PRO to release photos of the suspects so as to clear any doubt that they have been released.

Most states (with the exception of a handful) depend almost entirely on "federal allocations" rather than taxation for their revenues. As such, there is little incentive for their citizens to feel any personal stake in how said revenues are spent. If governors decide to squander most of their allocations on airports nobody will use, or religious buildings that do nothing to provide healthcare and clean water, nobody feels "it's my money being wasted", especially if whatever is left over is spent on paying salaries to

a
bloated state bureaucracy that does little of use. Instead of feeling anger, people hail such governors as "working".

If state-funding were changed to a matching grant system, with the FG's grants matching state IGR on a 1-for-1 basis (rather than flat federal allocations based on population and land area), there would be a radical turnaround in attitudes, as suddenly most people would see the direct connection between the taxes they pay and the spending of their governors. However, I am doubtful this will ever happen, as the overwhelming majority of states simply aren't viable under their current setups.

Take away most of those "federal allocations" derived from oil money from the SS and tax revenue from the Lagos ports, and the state count would have to collapse back to no more than, say, 9 at the very most. But everybody wants "our pikin" to have a governor's mansion and ride around in a big convoy while handing out pretend-jobs to "our kinsmen", even if that means the quality of governance they get remains abysmal.

Exactly my brother. Nigeria is prided as Nation by the ignorants but never a nation. To be honest even if Biafra should attain her freedom tomorrow I wouldn't want her to be built with indigenous people/languages in it.

Calling for a Biafra with the South-South that have been made to think would never work in the next 50 years and even if she does she won't survive in 10 years time.

When you have people that speak one language, have one culture with a popularly known religion then you have a prosperous nation.

A Nigerian lady, Grace Ogwo has taken to Facebook to celebrate bagging a PhD in mathematics at the age of 27 from a South African university, IGBERETV reports.

She bagged a First Class Honours and was also the best-graduating student in her department during her first degree in Mathematics. She was awarded a PhD after 20 publications.
