Buhari laughs at you moaning Nigerians now.

Buhari had announced his
retirement from election politcs after self assessment and realised he was not deemed capable to preside over Nigeria in a democracy.

Tinubu went and fetched Buhari from retirement to come and defeat GEJ, so that after Buhari, Tinubu will become president.
Why do Nigerians now complain about Buhari administration?

Fuel Scarcity In 1974, See Cars In Vogue In The 70s As Nigerians Queue Up To Buy Fuel (Video)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vfc_YqQ54zE

Some of the cars captured includes a Volkswagen Beetle (Ijapa), Peugeot 504 and 2nd-Generation Toyota Corolla Wagon.

Others are the Peugeot 404 sedan, fourth Generation Toyota Crown, Land Rover Defender, Land Rover and Renault 12.

This present administration may have scored a very low mark in terms of the high price of getting petroleum products, but many will remember it for solving the problems of fuel scarcity In the country.

In the past, Nigerians, despite Nigeria being an oil rich nation, had to queue for several hours and at times sleep at filling stations just to fill the tanks of their vehicles.

And the scarcity of fuel isn’t a problem that developed in the last administration. A trending clip taken in the 1970s takes us back to the past to see how Nigerias struggle to buy petroleum products during fuel scarcity.

In the rare footage, a very huge queues of vehicles can be seen, as motorists fights each other while waiting for their turn to buy petrol.

And if you have ever wondered which cars plied the Nigerian highways in the 1970s, then this short clip will give you a glimpse of it.

Some of the cars that were captured in the clip includes a Volkswagen Beetle (Ijapa), Peugeot 504 Station Wagon and 2nd-Generation Toyota Corolla Wagon.

Other iconic cars spotted includes a Peugeot 404 sedan, fourth Generation Toyota Crown, Land Rover Defender, Land Rover, Renault 12 and Volkswagen Transporter bus.
Buhari's signature nemesis upon Nigerians in 1974 have been repeated between 2015 to now, except Nigeria armed forces flogging Nigerians who are queueing for bread, milk, sugar and other essential commodities.

Some of you are just stubborn and unwilling to learn.

Ogunsuyi, Ogunrobo and many others are Benin names.

Ogunsanya, Ogundele etc are Yoruba names.

Because both cultures have similar names doesn’t mean they are all Yoruba names. Some of you don’t know any other ethnic group apart from Igbo, Yoruba and Hausa.
The man and woman may be both from Edo state.

The man's Okocha name? May be the man is from the Igboid clan in Edo state.

Too many Bini people bear Yoruba surnames; so the woman could be from Edo state.

Shortage of Nigerian passports is deliberate during this administration.

Eto’o declared biological father of 22-year-old Spanish woman

A Madrid court on Thursday declared former Barcelona striker, Samuel Eto’o, as the biological father of a 22-year-old Spanish woman, Erika Do Rosario Nieves.

Eto’o declared himself in absentia and did not attend to the evidence presented against him in court.

This has been indicated to EFE by lawyer Fernando Osuna, who was in charge of the legal representation of Nieves’ lawsuit in 2018.

Nieves’ mother and Eto’o met, according to the lawsuit, in a Madrid nightclub in 1997, when the Cameroon legend was on loan at Leganes.

The mother disclosed that, during the pregnancy, she tried to communicate with the former Chelsea attacker, but he did not answer her phone calls or emails.

She provided biological evidence that supported her testimony, which made the judge admit the claim, although Eto’o never met the court’s requirements.

Eto’o must now pay Nieves 1,400 euros per month, including retroactive payments since the lawsuit was filed.

Politics › Re: 2023: Asiwaju Tinubu Visits Awujale, Tells Him About His Ambition by onuman: 6:12am On Feb 18, 2022
smallsmall:
We agree on a few things:

= SW has ruled in the past, even without Igbo support
= SE also needs to produce the President, because they haven't, for a while and to have a sense of belonging
= The "North" has just spent the last Two Terms, up to 2023 and therefore, Power needs to devolve to the "South".

That is a good background to the discussion, what remains is the "Procedure" to further break it down, between the Regions of the "South".
I wont repeat myself but whether we like it or not, it is still a Democracy and it is a game of Numbers, Alliances, Strategy and Vision.
Also, Nigeria does not allow for independent candidates so, like it or not, the President-elect, will be midwifed by a Political Party.
So, we cannot rule out the "Party Effect".

Specifically on 2023:
The North is not going to give up trying to produce the President in 2023, you have seen that from their various comments and with someone like Atiku (Igbo's PDP candidate in the last two cycles) throwing his hat in the Ring and if we go by comment we read from Igbos, they are ready as before, to vote for Atiku (in PDP).
Is that Fair and Equitable?

I will assume that the SW are also banking on Voting for the Flag bearer of APC, the Evil Party, as Igbos call them. grin
The SW has voted for APC in the last two cycles of election as well, so that expectation is logical. They are also hoping the flag-bearer of APC will be a Yoruba, if not a Northerner.

(1) What l dont understand is how the SW, who have invested all their good will and effort in APC and hardly vote for PDP (at least in the last two elections), will expect the PDP to dash them its Presidential Slot, just because the Presidency is expected to be zoned to the South of Nigeria? What about the Igbos who abandoned APGA, an Igbo party, worked tirelessly for the PDP all these Years?
Where is the Equity in that? You cant reap where you did not sow, that will be most Unfair to the Igbos.

(2) Same thing applies to the the SE !. How can the SW form APC, nurture it and made it a formidable party, while Igbos put their Eggs in PDP., but expect the APC to just handover their Presidential Ticket to the Igbos in 2023, just because the Presidency has been zoned to the South of Nigeria?
Where is the Equity in that? You cant reap where you did not sow, that will be most Unfair to the Yorubas!

But Igbos will agree with scenario (1) while disagreeing with scenario (2)! There lies the Conundrum.
In other words, Igbos think "Equity and Fairness" means "what favors only them"

In my own estimation, l think the problem lies in the understanding that "You should not expect support, where you have not shown support".
If you want support and think support is important to your aspirations, SHOW SUPPORT... to those whose support you will need.
THAT IS FAIR AND EQUITABLE, NO MATTER HOW YOU DICE IT OR WHO IS AT A DISADVANTAGE RESULTING FROM IT.

SW (Yorubas) really dont have much in common with the North, not by language, not by religion, not by mentality, not by global view, not by education, not even by method of raising children!
But the SW supported the North in APC to win Presidency in 2015, and 2019, because they know that they will need the support of the North, after that. That is how, regrettably, we ended up with this Evil, Nepotistic "Mistake" as President!
Pour Water upfront, to wet the ground you will walk on.....That is STRATEGY.

Now that Igbos "expect" the Yorubas to support them to be President in 2023, it raises the following questions:
Have the igbos supported the Yorubas to win the Presidency in APC/ACN in past years?
Do they have a "Debt of Goodwill" to collect from the Yoruba/SW?
Have Igbos "Poured Water upfront, to wet the ground they will walk on", with respect to getting the support of Yorubas?

These are valid, fair and equitable questions, when it comes to DEMOCRACY.

But if my Igbo brothers are resulting to 'Emotional Blackmail' (Yorubas are slaves, Yorubas are traitors, bla, bla, bla), 'Zero-sum game' (If Yoruba dont Vote for Igbos, we will Vote for the North again) or the 'Samson Option' (If we cant get the Presidency, we will ensure Yorubas dont also get it), i think the stakes are far too high for that, it wont yield the desired result we all want, it has not done so in the last fifty years plus and it wont, in the nearest future, except there is a change of strategy by the SE. to "Pour Water on the Floor Upfront, so we can all work on Wet Ground, thereafter" .

I thank both of you, for your contribution to the discuss.
Your Mr Simpleton political permutations are based on one assumption: that because the SW voted more than the SE for Buhari, therefore, the APC shall reward the SW with its presidential ticket this time.

It never occurs to you that Obasanjo won in 1999 under PDP formed by Igbo Alex Ekwueme, when the SW refused PDP.

FYI, the permutations should be on zoning/rotation of the presidency between the north and the south of Nigeria. Zoning/Rotation is necessary to keep the country one. Zoning/Rotation is
necessitated by the skewed and lopsided political structure of Nigeria. For 2023, it's the turn of the SE to produce a successor to President Buhari.
