Politics › Re: 2023: Asiwaju Tinubu Visits Awujale, Tells Him About His Ambition by onuman: 11:40am On Feb 13, 2022
maybet081:
let me tell you, we the southerners are saying the presidency must come down to the south, including the igbos Yorubas ijaws etc. WHY? WE ALL SAID FOR EQUITY, equity right? good, everyone agreed is the right thing to do,BUT WHEN WE RETURN HOME TO OUR SOUTH WITH THE PRESIDENCY WHICH IS A PRODUCT OF EQUITY,THEN AND JUST THEN THE YORUBAS WILL QUICKLY FORGET ANYTHING CALLED FAIRNESS AND EQUITY. WHO IS A FOOL IN NIGERIA. THE IGBO ARE GOOD TO BE GOVERNED BUT NEVER GOOD TO GOVERN. IF EQUITY IS THE RULE THEN LET EQUITY PREVAIL EVERYWHERE. WE REST OUR CASE.
SW APC asks north to respect zoning of the presidency between the north and the south, so that the presidency moves down south after PMB.

But in the south, the SW APC objects to zoning because it's the turn of the Igbo to present a successor to President Buhari.
How then does SW APC expect the north to respect zoning of presidency between the north and the south in 2023?

Once the north supports a northern presidential candidate, no southern presidential candidate can win Nigeria's presidential election because of the political structure of Nigeria which has 19 states and Abuja in the old Northern region but only 17 states in the old 2 southern regions. A presidential candidate must win 25% of votes in 24 states, after winning highest number of votes, before the candidate can be proclaimed winner of presidential election.

Ojo Madueke for Awolowo? Sam Mbakwe for Abiola? Go and learn contemporary Nigerian history, boy. It's like the Igbo have sworn to make the Yoruba enemy forever. Even now, instead of promoting one of their own they're trying to pull Tinubu and Osinbajo down, thus inadvertently promoting their cause. Only the bastard Yoruba man does that, because the larger Yoruba citizenry believe that the sky is wide enough for the denizens of the sky to fly without touching wings.
Contemporary history?

Go and learn how NADECO was formed in the SW. You are inadvertently cultivating NADECO 11 by not supporting justice which stipulates that it's the turn of the Igbo to present a successor to President Buhari.
SW needs to support the Igbo to present a successor to President Buhari so that the presidency moves down south after PMB. But if the SW APC continues to object to Igbo presidency of Nigeria in 2023, because SW APC believes SW must be rewarded for voting more than the SE for Buhari, that's cultivating a calamity for the whole south waiting to happen.

That'll be the day! Like Walter Ofonagoro supported Awolowo during the heady days of Landslide and Moonslide of 1983, and just like the boy Daniel Kanu, Uche Chukwumerije and Arthur Nzeribe supported Abiola in 1993. The chicken comes home to roost everyday. And only fools lack a sense of history. Such people forget the past early and they make their enemies friend. The Yoruba aren't fools, I tell you.
In every Walter Ofonagoro, there were many Ojo Maduekwes for Awolowo.

In every Uche Chukwumerije, there were many Sam Mbakwe's willing to pay the ultimate prize for realisation of MKO Abiola's mandate, and there were more Yorubas sabotaging Abiola's struggle.
You see, it's the turn of the Igbo to present a successor to President Buhari. Twisted logics like yours by anyone from the SW to obstruct the Igbo, are as good as consigning the apex political office to the north in 2023.

Bandits are offshoots of Boko Haram fighting for a Nigeria to be governed with Sharia criminal laws, the same shariah criminal laws adopted by the political and religious leaders of the 12 northern Nigeria's shariah states.
Restructuring Nigeria politically, or dissolution of Nigeria, so that the sharia states have autonomy or sovereign Islamic country shall end Boko Haram and banditry.

Are you speaking for the north or the south east? Why not focus on what the south east need to do and not what the south west or north should do. Zoning is between the south and north and it’s now the turn of the south. All interested southerners will contest just as they did in 1999 and 2003.

As regards Peter Obi, what infrastructural boom are you talking about? Can you mention the infrastructures and policies that he rolled out while in office that are still enduring till today?
You fail to recognise that OBJ from the SW region presided over Nigeria, and it's now the turn of the SE to produce a successor to President Buhari. If the SW APC continues to contest to present a successor to President Buhari, but do not support an Igbo for presidential ticket of APC, by the time you start to say Tinubu or Osinbajo, a northern presidential candidate has succeded President Buhari.

Based on their performance in office as governors, it is only Tinubu that has shown serious administrative competence and the ability to uplift Nigeria. He has the ability to make the right decisions and appoint the right people into office.

Tinubu’s legacies are still very visible in Lagos while Obi has nothing to show for his 8 years as governors. The difference is just too clear. Truthful folks out there knows that Tinubu is a far better choice.
Peter Obi made Anambra state boom in infrastructural development.

Are there not better presidential candidates than Tinubu from the north? But Tinubu is rooting for adoption of zoning to enable a southerner to succeed President Buhari. So how can Tinubu refuse zoning of the presidency among the southern regions, but expects the north to still abide in zoning?

Politics › Re: Atiku asked for Zoning In 2010 But Is Rejecting It In 2022 by onuman: 9:03am On Feb 12, 2022
Atiku rejecting zoning is as good as rejecting continued existence of Nigeria.
Northern military dictators proliferated too many states in the old Northern region, thus assigned electability to politicians from the old Northern region. This twisted and lopsided political structure necessitated zoning the presidential seat between the north and the south of Nigeria.

The youths in the sharia states of Northern Nigeria want an autonomous region from a politically restructured Nigeria, or a Sovereign country for the sharia states, to be governed with Sharia criminal laws.

But the elders of the northern sharia states who adopted Sharia criminal laws will not allow that because of their desire for cheap cash from crude oil and gas in the south.

The political and religious leaders of the 12 northern sharia states who adopted unconstitutional Islamic sharia criminal justice system in a Nigerian society with plural religious faiths, infested his brain with religious extremism.
There are still millions like him in the sharia states of Northern Nigeria.

Those who refused restructuring Nigeria politically but want to profit from the skewed and lopsided political structure created by northern soldiers to favour far north political class, are jittery.

So? Where is the unity today?
Far north political and religious leaders adopting unconstitutional Islamic sharia criminal justice system in 1999 nullified the unity.
That mostly sparked off a wave of secessionist groups in the south of Nigeria.

Buhari vowed in 2001 before a large crowd of Muslim faithfuls that he would continue the struggle to have Islamic sharia criminal justice system applied in all of Nigeria.
