Politics / Re: The Senator Hiding The Wanted Boko Haram Commander. (Premium Times Report) by onyekabe(m): 7:54pm On Oct 20, 2012
[quote author=ndu_chucks]You people need to be cautioned about inadvertently throwing you rights to be presumed innocent until proven guilty, out of the window because of your desire for sensationalism. This is the only confirmation we have from JTF:

Security forces in Maiduguri said they have made a huge haul in their campaign against the Boko Haram sect, arresting a top sect leader, Shuaibu Mohammed Bama, and linking him to a serving senator’s house along Damboa Road, GRA Maiduguri.

Shuaibu was linked to the senator's house. This is a far cry from the senator hiding Shuaibu in his house!! We just don't have enough facts to state that this senator is guilty of anything.

If there is any kind of link between Senator Ahmed and Shuaibu, why has Ahmed not yet been arrested? We don't even know what proof the authorities have linking Shuaibu to Boko Haram.[/quote for people like you colo haram do not exist thats why you always find way to defend them
Politics / Re: How A Motorcyclist Was Almost Killed By Fulani Herdsmen by onyekabe(m): 6:46am On Oct 20, 2012
alj harem: Am very surprise, fulanis are usually in the North, middle belt and South west inculding edo and delta, cross river as well. I doubt if the story is true and why would a man attack another without a reason ? Very strange indeed.
fulani in warri snatching gold and phone if not for the vigilante group on body would have known that fulani and their hausa brothers are behinde those snatching. Fulani in Igbanke bush terrorising the women that go to farm and sometimes mount road block to rob,. If not for the effort of the vigilante group these fulani would have killed many people
Politics / Re: Okada Riders Protest At Iyanoba Badagry Expressway by onyekabe(m): 6:11am On Oct 18, 2012
take dat: Are you joking? He should be impeached cos he put a stop to that menace called Okada? If you had ever visited Igbobi or those trado- orthopaedic homes you would know the harm associated with Okada. Like @Seunfly stated those with learned handiwork should return to it and the jobless remaining should go their villages to farm
Go to village that there no enough land to cultivate. On we rather remain here and start kindnapping people like you to make a living

Islam for Muslims / Re: An Open Letter To Nigerian Christians by onyekabe(m): 5:45am On Oct 16, 2012
I do not believe your write up cos wherever muslems are majority the minority suffers. Just imagine a non muslem in saudi can he practice his religion freely? All muslem are the same they will call you infidel if they know that they has the highest population just like what is happening in northern nigeria. Porter i know you are not from the north that explian why you are moderate. I also know that if the population of muslems in Yoruba land is like 80% the story will change. Gray that the population of muslem in Yoruba land increase so that people will see what an saying

Politics / Re: Fani-Kayode: Yorubas Won The Civil War For Nigeria by onyekabe(m): 7:20am On Aug 14, 2012
onomeasike: the ibos wont just put the blame and loss they suffered during the biafra war in the right quarters.clearly, many of them have not learnt any lesson.Would you do as Ojukwu (who was reportedly killed by AIDS) did in and expect to win a war?It is only a foolishman that will do the same thing in the same but expect a different result. The average igboman, even okonkwo character of the things fall apart fame,is more of brawn than brain.War is first fought in the brain, the strategy and humility to disarm ur enemy without his knowing and element of surprise is beyond the ability of average igbomen. If I am igbo,i will rather have the more matured ,beautiful and submissive igbowomen lead a war. These crop of igbos on nairaland are typical empty vessels of the igbos.
We do not need war. We will sit and watch how things will go. Meanwhile our case is before U.N.O I beleive in no distant time we will go our different way.

Car Talk / Re: Should Lagos Govt Ban Okada ? by onyekabe(m): 9:29pm On Jul 23, 2012
omosexy1: Okada should be banned. Its demerit exceeds its benefits. It doesn't add much to our GDP nor does it increase the standard of living for the riders or the Nigerian populace. It is also crippling other sectors of the economy such as tailoring, mechanics, plumbering, agriculture, shortage of factory workers e.t.c People don't want to learn a trade these days; a quick buck (let me start riding okada), if there is ever any progress, the okada drivers purchase tricycles. Please it is a poverty driven occupation and do not allow our youth to think positively and become employers of labour. If I am Fashola I will ban it, increase the number of police check points; liaise with soldiers to patrol lagos suburbs and lets see how the criminals will operates. This will force these young men to re-evaluate their position and move into other occupations which can contribute to Lagos economy.
Do you know that okada employ more than banking sector? Do you know that many people started ties life with okada and today they are graduate and able to save money for biz of thier choice. Today i am a proud owner of two bus i started with okada.
