For those of us who have benefited from the rural road projects of Gov. Ugwuanyi's administration, he is the best.
I can't remember any civil servant complaining that his salary was slashed or is being owed as is obtainable in some states with flyovers.

Honestly, even though you might think you are being paid very well, don't forget the extra years it took you to study medicine. Another student with same potentials like yourself and even less effort would have already started earning big bucks in a multinational firm. For instance, it takes roughly 2 years to reach 300k if you work in a big consulting firm and you won't need to study as hard as doctors. So many young Doctors were the brightest minds in their school, but let the blind love for medicine cloud their judgement. Many of them should probably be better off by now.
Nigeria of today is not treating Doctors well enough and its really telling on the proffesion.
Using myself as an example, some of my doctor friends who entered uni with me in 2011 have not even served or gotten housemanship while I'm already about to get into my 3rd year in a big firm and earning close to the figure you mentioned. Come to think of it, the only reason I wasn't pressured into studying medicine was because for some reason, I coudnt pass Chemistry. In hindsight, I'm kind of grateful I didn't study medicine with the way the profession is being handled in Nigeria. My advise to them it to leave this country.
Let's not even talk about the stress they go through. Mind you, most of my mates in the proffesion are very smart guys and were model students back then.
Nigeria needs to start treating medical doctors with more respect, financially and otherwise, and its only the current doctors that can ensure this happens by not settling for anything less.

How many of your classmates that studied the same course with you are employed, talk more of earning as much as 300K let the guy you quoted tell you how many of his classmates that are earning close or more than that.

First, we have not known why the patient was even taken into the theatre in the first place and we are already condemning the doctor.
What if she went in for Ceaserean section and it was discovered that she had a ruptured uterus which is a complication in grandmultipara women above 35years.
In the above situation, the next person that can give consent for total hysterectomy if the patient is under General anaesthesia is the husband/next of kin and it must be duly signed.

I blame the husband and doctor in a way for not disclosing it to her after recovery.

Op, let me give my own piece of advice.
I believe in what my people call "ofor" it means to go with a clear mind.
Your in-laws and your wife knows that you'll hardly separate from your wife owing to your ugly childhood experience and they are capitalising on that and your introverted nature to play with your home.
I want you to try a few things;
1. I want you to write a letter to your in-laws telling them in clear terms that you've noticed the bad effect of their interference on your family and that the said letter should serve as the last warning to them to desist from their attitude and will serve as an evidence that you warned them when the time will come.
2. Send a copy of the letter to the priest that wedded you people and to the priest where your in-laws worship.
3. Then keep a copy for yourself.
Let all these be done without the help of your family so that they will know that you're waking up.

If after that and the mess continues, just take a leave from your place of work for a while and leave your house and then get a lawyer to file a divorce suit for you and send a copy from wherever you've been hiding your wife and the priest that wedded you people and sit down and watch how you get back your respect.

You can withdraw the suit if she begs very well or continue if she's still behaving the way she has been behaving.

For your children, they won't be abandoned the way your dad did to you. You can claim custody and take care of them or send money for your wife to take care of them.
